  1. Well done Comets , that was some comeback, shame that it has been difficult to get all your fixtures in , as you are the best team in the league this year and should come away with some silverware by the end of the season, I do hope that we can spoil your Party by puting you out of play offs , but that is subject to my team stepping up, which is unpredictable, if the comets put us Tigers out , then I hope you go on and win the treble, you deserve it.
  2. Its small and technical, they have a better home track advantage than Arena Essex / Lakeside
  3. Can't believe I am saying this but good luck Monarchs at least with Monarch fans we (weegies) get the usual banter, so hopefully Monarchs hump the Comets, as their fans come across as envious moaners who play the victim role. The Comets team have done very well this year and deservedly so , but certain fans seem to think that other teams should jump to their demands because they have a problem fitting their fixtures in after not having any during the long hot summer.
  4. I am not against Glasgow going to Workington on a Saturday just not on gp weekend, we can race any night at home
  5. Why should we choose to go to Workington without our no 1, (although we may have to now, ) No team in their right mind would choose to do so.
  6. Quite an achievement considering our inconsistency, well done lads, can we keep Cookie next year Pleeeeease . He is delightful to watch and is an inspiration to the team.
  7. Not sure if we will win play offs (Glasgow) but you are right about Cookie he has been inspirational on and off the track and has brought a magical feelgood about the place, feelgood factor has been missing since last years bust up at Berwick and again when Stewart Dickson quit. Even if we dont win it , the fans go into the off season on a high due to the Cookie factor. We were jealous of that when Cookie was at Edinburgh.
  8. Great to see Berwick and Workington do well in the league, for Glasgow our low was losing Lewis Kerr as he was having a great season, but the upside to that is having Craig Cook join us, he has been inspirational in turning our season around and is a delight to watch as well as being an absolute gentleman with giving time to fans. Drew Kemp : what a prospect that young man is, he was amazing at Glasgow. Lows are all the injuries this year which have affected teams and the closure of Rye House and Lakeside having to move home
  9. Looking forward to listening in to this weeks episode of tapes up, nice for us to have bragging rights for a change
  10. Shocking referee , let the hammers have rolling starts all night, heat 15 Nick lifted on bend 2 and went into air fence , craig laid the bike down and it was all 4 back strangest 1st bend I have seen, I dont mind getting beat and was happy for lakeside to win , but they denied us a chance of a point by saying all 4 back when Nick should have been excluded . Also Psul Starke should have been in heat 15 as bomber was having a mare of a night and Paul had beaten Adam Ellis in heat 14. Hope young Zach is ok , that was a big get off he had.
  11. Really ? Have you ever seen Craig Cook unmotivated?
  12. Thought you couldn't use guests from other play off teams?
  13. Coming down for this one, not been there since the 70's, its a do or die meeting for the Tigers but if they ride like they did last night against Edinburgh , it will be a cracking meeting. The signing of Craig Cook has been a wonder stroke, he has brought a feel good factor to our season and has led from the front, it is also good to see him smiling again and enjoying his racing.
  14. Tigers were on it , Craig leading from the front and another 15 point maximum , there are not enough superlatives to describe him. He is inspirarional both on and off the track, had fab back up from Bomber , Sarge, and the rest , apart from poor Jack who had mechanical gremlins. When Cookie came out on Jordy Stewarts bike , i feared for his maximum but he flew round the outside and into the lead. For the Monarchs Josh Pickering and guest Broc Nicol impressed as did Tigers guest Jordy Stewart. It was a happy journey home, wouldnt mind the same again at Ipswich on Thursday.
  15. Jordan did well with the Aussie under 21 team event at Glasgow, he seems to have improved a bit since he came with Redcar
  16. Thought the tiggers were going to lose this at one point, witches were sharp out the gate, young Drew Kemp is such a talent, and should go far, Cant see us beating Edinburgh next week unless our guys find something extra, Cookie apart, we struggled to get any momentum, thought we would have lost heat 14 but fair play to Starke and Thomas, they pulled it out of the bag, surprised that Cookie didnt go as a tac sub in heat 9 when we were 7 down
  17. Well that was a good result for the Tigers, diamonds had a 2 man team, Lindgren doesnt go well at Ashfield generally but his effort tonight was abysmal. Cookie was in a class of his own and good to see young Jack Thomas in the points. Shame that it is probably too late for the Tigers this season.
  18. He squeezed round the tapes to go back to the pits and got excluded for going on the infield
  19. Witches look strong , we are strong on paper but paper doesnt win meetings , bringing Craig Cook into the fold seems to have galvanised the Tigers so it might be a close one , hope Nathan is fully fit, we have yet to really see what he can bring to the team. Looking at the weather forecast it looks like that the rain may spoil it for getting the meeting on, and fridays forecast isnt any better.
  20. Really enjoyed that meeting , not the result I wanted but hospitality certainly helped ease the pain. The Aussies were sharper at the gate. Tai Woffinden sublime at times and it will be some time before anyone takes the track record from him, heat 15 with Cookie picking off holder and taking the win just about took the roof off. Hopefully we can get some more of these meetings , our boys need to race the best to improve, let's hope it is the start of something for team GB
