  1. Bombercould ride for Glasgow on a Saturday as Rye would likely be on a Monday or Thursday if in top league
  2. It will certainly be an interesting winter, would love Bewley back and Nike but who knows what the AGM will bring
  3. Good luck to the Tigers , keep it close guys and lets end the season on a high
  4. very strange meeting , last night , totally disagreed with the heat 2 scenario, sheffield riders were trying too hard going into bends, despite bend 3 being icy, they should have just settled as they had the tie in the bag anyway, hope the guys are ok though. Sheffield deserve to go all the way and bag the trophy. Bowtell was worth much more than his 1 point, wouldn't mind seeing him in next years team , he gives everything and has no fear blasting round bends 1 + 2, was good to see Sarge back, but he really needs to learn how to sit still at the tapes, he is still a steal on his average though, and his heart appears to be at Glasgow. Will be glad when this season is over, who knows what the set up will be for next season. I hope that the powers that be at Glasgow go for guys who want to ride there and not just offer money or whatever to get riders. I would much prefer to watch guys who have a heart for the team than double uppers who dont give a toss.
  5. doubt we will be much of a challenge with our weak reserves
  6. not sure if you are taking the proverbial or being serious, however in all the years I have been attending speedway , I have observed that Stewart Dixon has been the best tactical manager I have seen and knows the rule book inside out. I agree that having r/r at no 5 seems very radical but Sheffield are on form and we are not so maybe this tactic will give us a chance in other heats.just a shame that our team has been decimated at the business end of the season, hopefully it will be a great meeting and the stripes will put up a fight.
  7. Doubt there will be many at the Glasgow match, a Tuesday night is a defo no go, why could they not have gone for the Saturday night 30th, some of us work shifts, looks like my season is over then :'(
  8. Dont think the Tigers will be confident with 4 riders injured
  9. Well done the Witches fully deserved the win, great guest in Mark Riss and reserve Nathan Grieves was a revelation, also Rory was electric from the gate , Glasgow have capitulated since the Berwick away trip, It has all gone pete tong and not all due to injuries
  10. Weather not as bad as forecast , so fingers crossed we can get this meeting on , would hate to lose out in play offs due to not completing enough meetings . TBH I dont agree with play offs anyway but we have them, whoever finishes top is champions in my eyes and this year Sheffield deserve to be crowned champions
  11. They have hardly been an embarrassment, okay they have had a dip in form recently, but really what planet are you on, Maybe they will win a trophy or not, but they have still had a good season, jings we used to finish at the lower end of the table for years and recently we have been in contention at the top, you are obviously not a real speedway fan, only a glory hunter
  12. Not surprised that it is off , been raining all night and not looking like it is going to go off anytime soon. In fact it has rained every day here since August 1st, very depressing 😠😢
  13. Unfortunately I think Paulco may be right, forecast for Thursday is horrendous, that may be a blessing in disguise though as we are going through an injury crisis, with 3 of our bottom end injured.
  14. I agree Ritchie Dan and Nike should be our 3 to start with next season
  15. We have gone off the boil lately, think the diamonds will win but we may get a point, live in hope that I am wrong and we have our gating boots on and get a win. This season has been awful with lack of regular home meetings, hope they sort it for next year as I can see fans finding something else to do instead. Speedway is a habit and if no home meetings for a month, we soon get out of the habit. Even regular fortnightly meetings would be better than what we have now
  16. Put that match behind you Newcastle fans ,next week will be a cracker as we are coming down with , hopefully a full team if Jack Smith is fit, and I am sure there will be a big travelling support as well , to add to the atmosphere.
  17. Would be ironic if our no 1 helped our closest rivals to an away win. British speedway is just crazy
  18. Tom Perry not riding and Tom Bacon guesting, shame we couldn't get James Shanes 🙄
  19. Was a very enjoyable meeting, shame they didn't run heat 15 but the track looked dodgy in heats 13 and 14 when it was pissing down . A draw was a fair result, heat 15 could have went either way or indeed still ended in a draw. Was impressed with Jye Etheridge and Joe Jacobs , they have improved somewhat since I last saw them race, and Berwick have a true no 1 in Nick, I hope the Bandits can finish the season with no more injuries and a few more points in the bag. They are my second championship team after all after the mighty Glasgow Tigers of course
  20. Hoping for a Glasgow win although some of our boys may be race rusty as we havent had a meeting for a while Hoping for a Glasgow win although some of our boys may be race rusty as we havent had a meeting for a while
  21. Will Stevie Worrall be fit for tomorrow? I see he has pulled out for belle vue at leicester tonight
  22. I see Stevie has pulled out of todays meeting at Leicester, will he be fit for tomorrow?
