True, however another year with fixtures so far apart will kill us off quicker, if not a premiership then lets have a proper ndl team along with championship, I do realise that junior racing is generally not well supported at present but if it meant racing most weeks instead of 5 week gaps it may work
-
We don't get many away fans as it is on a Friday, I am sure we would get some on a monday or thursday initially as very few premiership fans have been to Glasgow
-
If Oxford can do it, why not Glasgow, our facilties are great and racing is top notch, we don't get the away fans that we used to, so that is not an excuse, although I suspect we could get a few to see riders like, Doyle, Janowski, Bewley etc, would be interesting to hear Tatum and his top draw racing when on tv if we had Basso and Harris

Vinnie's girlfriend is one of the Glasgow volunteers

Well done Workington on your 1st season back in championship, lovely set up there, you had a team with a few unknowns and coped well, to make the play offs was an astounding result and you may have gotten further if you had your full team without injuries. Hopefully you can get back some of the Derwent park fans and continue to do well next season. Believe it or not a lot of Glasgow fans were supporting you to do well, shame that there are 1 or 2 Workington fans dislike us, but for the most part you are a friendly lot. You have Steve Lawson who is very well thought off at Glasgow, you also have my fave rider Craig Cook and Claus is also loved by Glasgow fans. I look forward to some friendly rivalry next season.

Would love them at Glasgow, but would they like the travel
-
Probably but with Bomber, he has expressed that he wants to stay with Glasgow until he retires, loves the track, can't see him not at Glasgow
-
So, why does the official green sheet averages have him as a 4 when he started at 2
-
We certainly hope he is in a competitive team next year too, this year has been a massive disappointment, Chris has held the team together and won us matches that we didn't deserve to win. We have finished our season below the starting average of 38 and that takes some doing. The positive is that despite all the travelling Chris would love to stay at Glasgow until he retires as he loves the track, so hopefully that will work out as he is a joy to watch especially when he doesn't gate.

King sustained a foot injury at Oxford v Redcar and Jenkins a scaphoid injury in same match -
Poole supporters hijack everyones thread
-
And his real average is likely to be even lower than 4
-
That is how bad we are this season
-
If that is the case then still not worth a 4, can't even beat reserves , can gate but then rides all the wrong lines
-
I don't think he can go below 6

Ours is going the same way, need to regroup and plan for next season -
Well done to Plymouth, however Horley was horrific with some of her decisions

2 are injured and 2 on international duty, but I think that it should have been rearranged, although the guests make us stronger

So 5 on initial Glasgow team racing at Workington today, only Jack Smith and Steve Worrall missing, crazy stuff considering we are fighting both teams for that 4th play off spot -
Poole Pirates Vs Glasgow Tigers 31/7/24
Weeyin replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If Glasgow get 30, I will be surprised, we are woeful, would have been better before the changes, losing Stevie has been a massive disadvantage, Ivacic is not even fit for reserve spot and Leon is very inconsistent, thank goodness for Harris and to some extent Pearson, Jack Smith has also given us entertainment at home, not so much away. When I saw the initial team, I thought it was poor, can't believe we have actually made it worse, roll on 2025, hopefully with an improvement. Our biggest loss was not having Basso, he was formidable at Ashfield alongside Bomber. At least we still have him to watch going round the boards so to speak.
