  1. Won't announce when this season's team is here
  2. Wont be a fixture clash as premiership has protected nights and Championship cant race on them
  3. Spot on Lisa, he was asked by Glasgow but couldn't decide if he was giving up championship and Glasgow didn't want to wait for a decision and miss out on team building
  4. I see the silly season has started, I very much doubt that the Cooks would leave Poole, bet they are both there in 24
  5. I very much doubt that Steve deliberately didn't do his best, even if he knew he was no longer in Poole's plan, I also doubt he was tapped up either as it appears to me that he was disappointed and wanted to say goodbye personally to the Poole fans, wherever he ends up I am sure he will give 100% and if it is Glasgow then he will be made welcome.
  6. Well done Scunthorpe, and what a season Simon Lambert has had, enjoy the evening Scunny fans
  7. I agree that Tom is at least a year away from being consistent enough to give up championship
  8. I would take Borke in a minute, impressive around Glasgow, reminded me of Basso when we first got him
  9. Our problem with Marcin was that his Polish team rode on Saturdays and practice was Fridays, which he missed due to riding at Glasgow and was fined by his Polish club for missing practice. Marcin was hugely popular at Glasgow and was improving week on week, especially when you think that his first meeting at Berwick he struggled to get round and scored zero, his last meeting he scored a faultless maximum. His Polish club at that time were doing well and had reached the playoffs, and as he was captain of the team they recalled him and we were left a bit in the lurch, fortunately it worked out well with signing Tarasenko, would never have happened if Marcin had stayed.
  10. Glasgow only signed Tarasenko due to Marcin leaving, there would have been no change if Marcin was not recalled by his Polish team. Granted the change did strengthen us, due mainly by moving Tom to 2 with Bomber, at the same time we lost our power house pairing of Claus and Ben and that lost us points
  11. A tasteless thread, love them or hate them, Poole has been the most successful team in speedway and every team should aspire to be at their level, when we lost to Poole a couple of years ago, Glasgow fans congratulated them, there was no animosity, we have fought to get to their level and we achieved it this season. I would hope that some Poole fans would have congratulated the travelling support as there are some really nice Poole fans, lets face it all teams have 1 or 2 that go too far. Poole are not finished yet they still have the KO cup to fight for,and already have the BSN trophy. As for Glasgow, we have put a lot in to upgrading facilities and stadium, and it is not extra money for riders from management, they try to get sponsorship for riders, anyway I am going to enjoy this season and look forward to the fight next season.
  12. R/R for Claus hasn't got more than 5 home or away, so Glasgow missing Claus is huge, and is as bad as Poole without Anders
  13. I asked and he said that as Ace had done ok in his previous ride, Ace wanted to race, I do think that TM should be a bit more ruthless when necessary, as Ace falling and all 4 back, and him subsequently withdrawn, was definitely a get out of jail free card, I also think Jack Smith should have got a run but not in that heat
  14. Borke cant go below 4 and Max Clegg is on 4.21
  15. Personally I think we are weaker without Vissing, his r/r scores have been 5 home and away, whereas his scores at home last few matches have been 11+1, 7+2 ( with an exclusion) and 7+1, away have been, 5, 6, 7+1, and11+2, so he is a huge miss especially at home
  16. Watched this on bsn , after 2 heats I thought that we were going to lose, but the boys stepped up well and tbh we got quite a bit of luck, which we have not got last few years, hope Sedgy is Ok, he looked a bit groggy after that off, and poor Connor has had an awful night, was well impressed with Jason Edwards, he would have been my man of the match. Very bad timing for the bears to lose Charles at the play offs, wishing him a full recovery. As a Glasgow fan I am delighted with the result, need to do it all again on Tuesday against Oxford. Good luck to the bears in the KO cup
  17. Surely if a team loses points based on weather cancellation, that can be challenged legally, season has until end of October to be completed, I would be extremely angry to lose out because of rain, West of Scotland and Manchester get more than their fair share of rain throughout the year
  18. I thought it strange having bomber in 1 and Emil in 3, I would have put them the other way round
