  1. Decent looking team, but there is no way would the Promotion or would I be happy letting Arthur Sissis go the guy gets better with every meeting.
  2. And Sedgman has an history of rapid loss of form, he did it at Birmingham and he did at Redcar, be interesting to see if it happens again and how the Monarchs Promotion deal with it if he does.
  3. Going to be interesting to see if Edinburgh are going to see the other side of Justin Sedgman He is okay when the team is going well, but in the past his head drops as does his form. And that could be disaster for the Monarch as they will be relying heavily on the top 4 performing with three youngsters in the side.
  4. Like I say I was following both Tigerite and Shadders updates and you could tell that it was potentially very serious from his update on the race, and you kind of know then that you have something to worry about. You also have to feel for David Bellego, he was not only hurt but the fact that there ws no way out from hitting his own team mate must have been very painful and upsetting for the lad.
  5. I following your updates and also those from Shadders, as soon as I saw Shadders updates for heat 15, my heart just sunk because you could tell from the tone of the update that it was serious.
  6. Schlien is about as good as it gets. Is Watt not injured.
  7. To get Bridger we would need to buy him some new bikes, van and probably want a shed load for points money. Add to that the fact that he has and probably still has no intention of riding Premier League. Don't want to see the club breaking the bank to sign a rider.
  8. Much as I like Jason Garrity, I think if we are going to replace Steady it has to be someone who can be relied upon to score big points in most meetings, and I don't think Jason is at that level just yet. I agree going with Guests is not the answer, but to be honest who is out there that would want to do Premier League racing.
  9. Bit early for him to make decisions like that, but he may well decide that enough if is enough, he has suffered some horrendous injuries over the years. But over the last 2 or 3 years he has worked terrifically hard on his fitness and that should aid him in his recovery.
  10. Not too sure whether or not the average would fit but maybe Mads Korneliussen. But would he want to ride Premier League?
  11. Edit forget Lawson. for Berwick and change to Lasse Bjerre.
  12. Looking at the fixtures; Thursday at Sheffield could be Craig Cook or Richie Lawson who is a popular Guest rider for Sheffield. Saturday at Berwick, maybe Nick Morris or Richie Lawson again.
  13. The promotion face an impossible task replacing Stead. He is virtually unbeatable around Owlerton. And he is our own asset, so we had the first choice over his services. After such a good start to the season the last thing the Promotion and club needed was to lose him to such a bad injury. The word impossible springs to mind. Get Well Soon Steady.
  14. Just when you feel like have a bit of a celebration, something comes along to bit you firmly on the arse. Good win for what is a very good and very under rated Sheffield team. Hope that Steady and David Bellego are not too badly injured and of course Steve Boxall. .
  15. Will be interesting to see if he falls in love with the second bend.
  16. Totally agree I don't see anything in Newcastle side that should worry us especially if we ride to our early season form. And of course the Newcastle don't have good at Sheffield even when we have had a poor team and Newcastle have had a decent team they have never performed well at Sheffield.
  17. He has fell in love with the air fence at Sheffield on the first and second bends. Loves it so much he keeps kissing it.
  18. Is Douglas still in Aussie or is he over here. As for Klindt has he not stated that he will not ride in the UK this season.
  19. Some interesting comments. As for comparing Josh Auty and Tai Woffinden been unfair total rubbish. Both burst on to the speedway scene at the same time, both the same age and both finished with very similar averages. Both at the time looked set to be the future of British speedway. But look at what they went onto to achieve and the difference is vast. Tai has gone to take his talent to the next level, Josh has not and frankly apart from the one season that Lucifer Sam alludes to Josh has been a 7 point plus rider, he has not moved forward, and although yes he is a very entertaining and exciting rider I doubt we will ever see him be a top British rider and he will always be what he is now a decent Premier League heat leader. As for the Simon Stead and Josh Auty debate, come on has to be Simon Stead. Steady has average over 9 for most of his time riding in the Premier League. And in an age where you your number 1 rider rides the number 1 riding position, take a look at how many times Josh has ridden at number 1, not very often I think you will find. At the end of the day Josh Auty's attraction is his weakness, I love to watch coming from the back its entertaining, but the poor gating which leads to his inconsistencies leads to his lack of progress.
  20. As many have said Josh is one of the most entertaining riders around the Premier League. But that gating is a problem and is what has let him down and held him back, and it is an issue that he does not seem to want to address going by the reaction to the more recent interviews when asked. To be honest his career has never really taken off and after watching him from when he first started he has underachieved. When first burst on the scene at Scunthorpe in the National League there was two riders around the same age, with identical averages both looked as though they would going to be superstars of the sport. The other one went on to fulfil that promise and went on to be a world class rider, where as Josh is kicking around the Premier League, and although yes Josh is an entertainer and a joy to watch he still is no better than he was 2 or 3 years down the line.
  21. Cannot speak for today, but at Sheffield I think that Alex Davies was very disappointing, and certain no where near the rider he was. The pleasing fact from Sheffield point of view today was the overall team performance, in the past two seasons if Simon Stead had score only paid 8 from 4 rides would generally mean that they would have been humped, but all 6 of the riders chipped in with points and only 3 last places in 15 heats tells a tale. It is far to early to make any predictions about the coming season, but if we can have a team that stays fit, and Josh Bates can show us the controlled Josh Bates rather than the rash lets give the throttle a go twist I think that we may have hit on a team capable of pushing for a play off play offs.
  22. Unfortunately, Sarah is bang on with the money with what she is saying. To maintain decent and healthy crowds you must win at home, and if lose them then it is very hard to get them back.
