  1. There is no doubt that Facu was entertaining last season. But the one thing that became abundantly clear that his equipment was sub standard. If the new Promotion were to consider bringing him they would need assurances.from Facu himself. (1) He has invested heavily in some new equipment. or (2) He has found a very good sponsor to back him with some new and better equipment. If the answer to either or both of them questions is no then I think we should forget about bringing him back. If was planning on coming back on the equipment that he had last year or the equivalent then as exciting as he was we only see a rider who spends all night chasing other riders back wheel. And at the moment the only rider I would consider dropping for him is Simon Nielsen to suggest the other two is sheer madness..
  2. As far as I know we don't have one, but think we can run the occasional Monday nights.
  3. The new promotion have shown that they are not afraid to make changes and if SCB is right and is very good with the figures that leaves Sheffield with a lot of points to play around with. My view is that if they do make a change they maybe keep one eye any moves that Scunthorpe make when Anders Mellgren returns to racing.
  4. I heard the little one was going to be. Edward, Luke, Jason, Steve, ,Mathieu , Jason Stefan Ellis Shadders.
  5. Looking bleak at the moment, if the forecast is right. I know I only do home meetings generally, but to get to the end of May and potentially only see the team race 4 times is depressing. Taylor Poole must be living on fresh air.
  6. Not unexpected after reading recent reports, but still very very sad. Legend is a word use far to often these days, but in Simmo's case fully justified. RIP Simmo.
  7. They were mate, but still very much appreciated especially with the stick and the negative comments made towards the Promotion over the last week or so.
  8. Is it Danny King they are briniing in then or are they not revealing who the new rider/riders are going to be.
  9. Have to say that it was nice of Dick Barrie to come out onto the mic and say a few kind words for the Sheffield fans and Promotion.
  10. So it is only Rosen and Henry that have gone then.
  11. Just seen that Christian Henry has posted on Facebook that he ready to go back to Australia after been dropped by Newcastle. He did not see it coming and neither did anyone else I think.
  12. http://www.sheffieldspeedway.co/news.php?extend.1551 Appears that everything has now been sorted.
  13. For those who require weather updates the; Still no rain.
  14. I am in the centre of town at the moment and so far so good regarding the weather. As for the Rider Replacement I have stop trying to working these things out.
  15. That needs to be re phrased to. If Sheffield did break the rules as you point out it seems that way, then BSPA knowingly allowed them to do so.
  16. Been there bought the T shirt, overcoat, hat and scarf. No Thanks,
  17. I think the Sheffield Promotion need to get out the Sheffield v Edinburgh 2010 Play Off Semi Final DVD, to inspire the Sheffield team. I think that we are going to need another performance like that again for Thursday.
  18. I would agree with you on that, but the problem is that there is not enough quality riders around that want to ride in leagues in this country. With the new draft system in the Elite League now we have an abundance of riders riding in three leagues, for me that has to stop after this season and riders should be told that they can in only two out of the three leagues. But I think getting riders and Promoters to simply commit to one club in one league would see quite few retirements of younger British riders, as their lack of rides and earning potential would go down.
  19. I think these days depression is dealt with differently to what it was years ago. Generally, its a combination of medication, but more than anything it counselling, that is the chose way forward with the medication coming secondary. You may have a point to a certain degree with the word depression been over used sometimes people mix up depression with stress related illnesses, and stress can be just as hard to deal with. But as I say in an earlier the brain is a complex part of the body and when it goes wrong it needs expert help, and I think that telling someone to pull themselves together who is genuinely suffering from depression is dangerous. We are all different and we all react in different ways, just because you or I can deal certain situations or life events does not mean that the next person can. And if that happens to someone it needs expert help. One thing that I do agree with wholeheartedly is that if Lewis Bridger is suffering from depression then he should not be riding s speedway bike.
  20. Probably totally summed up the sport in that one sentence.
  21. (1) I don't think that anyone is suggesting that Adam should received a ban for withholding his services at least I will say I don't think anyone has said he should on here. (2) Under the rules as I understand it, you and many others the Rider Replacement which was given for Sheffield to use for Ty Proctor was incorrect, but Sheffield were given written permission from the BSPA on the Friday After a protest by the Berwick Promotion, perfectly understandable the Rider Replacement was changed to Adam Roynon, by the BSPA. Again under the rules as I, you and others understand is incorrect, as Adam was released by the club earlier in the week, so he could not withholding his services. The question remains, why did the BSPA allow Sheffield the rider replacement for firstly Ty Proctor and then Adam Roynon. If the BSPA as a governing body cannot give the right information to clubs, as to what is right or wrong then who can. So unless there is another twist in the tale I fail to see where this all Sheffield speedways doing, as me and you and others know Sheffield should have been granted the facility to use a National League rider, which is what the BSPA should have done the minute the fixture on Thursday at Sheffield which I believe they did so mid morning. There is no doubt that Sheffield Promotion made a big mistake, but you also have to question the role of The BSPA in saga.
