What a joke for German Speedway is..... they have Smoli who is starting to become a very good rider in the Swedish and British leagues and they put in Kroner! Obviously not taking into account the injuries Smoli was riding with at the back end and to the mid of this season....

I am puzzled, why do you need skill and finesse to get around Bydgoszcz surely as it is a big track you open the throttle and go to some extent, yes there are certain lines you can ride but nobody apart from Gollob was riding those. Surely you need a bit more skill and finesse to get around and do well at a track like cardiff for instance?

Quite a boring gp aside from Gollobs races, thought Nicki was a bit of a berk if he did try to do Gollob after the final.

no he didnt, but then again how many people beat AJ around Brandon...... As I said in another thread one person did and that was down to the fact AJ picked upa bit of extra drive and decided to ride the 4th bend on his back wheel. Had you gone you would have seen some fantastic racing between the 2.

Well done to Pedersen last he looked fantastic, Well done to Nicholls, Holta and Hampel to, I had sat there all night thinking NIcholls had rode very well on the line with the ruts and then it caught him out in the final. Kudos to Crump he did really well, a credit to himself.

I dont know why everybody is so shocked, it is a major tournament and it certainly would not be the first time something like this would have happened.

SS, I think it is correct for you to support Middlo but then to lay the blame on Nicholls Harris and Richardson is not right. Nicholls in particular fought a lone battle and at least provided some entertainment, Richardson as we know has never been great at level (although often producing his best performances in the WTC) Bomber was a very strange one, perhaps he felt the pressure a bit riding for his country and not himself (ala gp's) if so I expect him to learn from it and come back better. I am not sure how much involvement a team manager has with the riders however they consistently picked the wrong lines and they should be clever enough to work this out themselves without having a middle aged man telling them where to put the back wheel. One thing I did disagree with and thought this on monday was that we had our riding order incorrect and in the final we were under massive amounts of pressure by heat 3 and this was never going to be our strongest heat. Last night looked as though the bar was suddenly raised in the terms of the WTC with the Aussies and GB being left behind. However Middlo is the ONLY man willing to do the job, I do believe he said at the start of the season that he would step aside if others wanted it. Nicholls, Harris, Stead Kennett and Richardson were the best men available for the job. They all tried their hardest and were simply outclassed, this is more indicative of the state of English speedway rather than a reflection of the people who went to represent us last night. I mean (with no disrespect) but we should not be travelling to the WTC final with Olly Allen in the squad, nor with Kennet making his full international debut.

The boys were disappointing last night, however the fact that some english people come on here and revel in this is quite frankly pathetic. Nicholls was the only one at the races, and Bomber was most disappointing, the others did what was expected of them. Kennet and Allen will learn from the experience. Aussies were poor to, from a Coventry point of view Schlein came out and looked more racey in his last race in this competition that he had done previously. The difference in the Poles was amazing, as for the reserve controversy well it is always open to something like that. The danes as usual were very good and probably would have won in any other country.

Am not surprised to see Watt in place of Schlien as I was quite disapointted with Rory on Thursday. Averages dictate that Schlien and Bomber of a similar standard however Rory looks like a novice as soon as he gets into this competition at the minute compared to what Bomber has done. I think we will do well to get a medal but reckon the aussies will win.

I thought she was fine as imo Huewen is (she is better looking though) Who cares whether she knows anything, as long as somebody is there telling her what to say then it is fine after all she is interviewing the people we want to hear (the riders). As for the commentators, yes they may get things wrong but after watching Walker and Allen on the f1 it really does not bother me, especially to go as far as to comment on the speedway.

At the start of the programme Tatum said there was tons of dirt on it, however it was perfectly clear to most people who have visited brandon over the past couple of years that there clearly was not. Also look at peoples comments regarding the entertainment factor....

Well i cant agree that last night was a great meeting,it was better than the meeting from Vojens, that is the slickest I have seen Coventry for a long time (the track started off better on firday night) At Coventry we have the magic wheel which a lot better than the normal graders.
