Well done to Crump, I am glad the ludicrous decision to come back for a few meetings to belle Vue did not hamper him in the end, now to see if he can win back to back championships as he has never been as strong when trying to defend.

I think there is a case for a second gp in the UK Cardiff gets the biggest crowd of the year, The UK is a big market for speedway , certainly be better than going to Italy....

How Crump must be rueing a silly move to come back to England.

The problem with the gp's is that riders are willing to settle for 2nd places, safe in the knowledge that they only need 9 or 10 points to get a decent gate in the semis. They need to send it back to the knockout series of a few years ago but then need to have draws for the gates so riders are not sitting in 2nd to ensure they get a blue gate which may happen to be working very well. BTW I have searched the yahoo tv guide and cant find the speedway listed for tomorrow, when and on what channel is it being shown?

The difference between this meeting and the SWC is immeasurable, in the SWC each race means something where as the gp riders are happy to settle for a second place and are always thinking of the next race or meeting, A change in structure is needed or the amount of gp's need to be cut down to 6 or something.

From what he has described surely he cant ride... I know speedway riders dont really listen to medical advice etc, but that would be a superhuman effort if he manages to ride.
