Crowds at Coventry were horrendous on a Thursday Night, team was not much better either! -
Speedway On Eurosport
Sir Jasper replied to michaelcroucher's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Quite why everybody is still going on about the concerns of the program are beyond me, they are using the world feed its hardly going to be poor. Johnno was very good. The other guy shouted a lot. However the commentary was ok. I do think that people would soon moan if we had him every round so the the trick is to rotate the duos. -
Darcy Showing What A Pro He Is Again

MIddleditch himself has said he is misquoted, I asked him why a paper such as the echo would do that espoecially given the close relationship and pages of cover they give to Poole Speedway. The Echo and journalist in question have come out and sand they stand by the story and all quotes..... -

Yep very good from Ford, and quite rightly shows there is concern for the mental state of Ward. People sticking up for Ward and berating others for having a go at him will do the lad no good whatsoever, it will only add to what is potentially a bloated ego and by sticking up for him whatever the situation could end up with his behaviour getting worse. I was also pleased to see Holder not jump straight in and defend him. It also seems very odd that Middleditch is claiming a misquote from a paper which in the past been a very good supporter of Poole Speedway. -

Pretty crass comments from Middleditch. -
One Of These Is Ewan Mcgregor

Yes, you are correct. Well done. -
Perhaps the MCF / SCB / BSPA could work together? It certainly seems as though the MCF are a tad more up to date on certain things such as timing, event promotion.

League Sponsorship - How Much?
Sir Jasper replied to StormMarketing's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Interesting, thanks. Considering the level at which you have supported the sport I am quite shocked that your outlay is not bigger bearing in mind you have sponsored at the pinnacle of the sport. it really does highlight there there is not a msssive pot of money in Speedway and certainly at UK League level riders costs and admission prices need to be dropped substantially. -

So what is it then Storm Marketing? -
Think I am more excited about the national league rather than the Elite to be honest.

Chris Holder World Champion
Sir Jasper replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Disagree Gavan, he was squeezed onto the grass, which was raised and it acted as a ramp. He was dealing with Pedersen fine, so I dont see why his brother felt the need to get involved as the situation escalated. Good work by Crump to take him away and to bring him back down to earth. Shame his bike went in the final, credit to him for coming out and trying to complete the job on the night as we have seen many clinch the required points and then go to pieces. I think that makes him the youngest champ since Trick in 94, and of course the organisers will be very happy that the main sponsors rider is crowned World Champion in their 1st year of event sponsorship. Well done Chris. -

safrican american safrican american Yep pretty much what I thought. The meeting was excellent, first gp I have enjoyed for a very long time, a decent track, that the riders could trust and we had a great meeting. -
I just wonder what Skoobie was google searching for to come up with an article about Craig Cook naked.....

Is Auty riding? Any chance of this being picked up and being shown on the Internet?

Speedway World Cup Team Line Ups
Sir Jasper replied to Ben Alderton's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You obviously did not see Max Scholfield at Brandon then. They are controlled motorcyclists, its a minimal risk for them to take, and 99 .9 times out of 100 they slide into the fence at a gentle pace. Looked like AJ took a tactical fall after being nudged. Just said the same elsewhere. -
Swc Race Off Confirmed Line Ups
Sir Jasper replied to Robbie B's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I honestly think we will struggle to win a race tonight. The team need to look at it as a learning exercise, keep their eyes and ears open, watch what the top boys are doing. -

Well they all won the title together last season, we just need Middlo to handle them correctly, as for our chances, dont rate em much. -
Leszno Gp 30th April 2011
Sir Jasper replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The meeting definetly got better as it went on and in the end became quite enjoyable. Nicki P winning has to be a good thing for the series, when he and Gollob are fighting against each other its pure excitement drama. Holder must feel hard done by, however about 1/2 way through the meeting I said somebody would struggle to get through on a high score. Crump looked imperious in his 1st ride, looked very ordinary afterwards. -
I remember AJ breaking the Lakeside track record while riding for Cov in heat 15! Looks as though he has since lowered it. As for the purpose of the thread, I enjoyed reading it.
