I agree with your assumptions. With Kauko and Kevin struggling, I would have given Ellis the fourth R/R ride and perhaps took a gamble with him in Ht 15. We had nothing to lose

Thanks for that Dakota couldnt replace Magnus because Dakotas average is too high and that is why we are using R/R for Magnus. It would have been difficult to find a decent replacement for Magnus due to all the other matches on tonight.

For all Leicester fans - all 6 races, so far, from the gate!! Other than well Branford fell.

The £1million pounds would be for stretching the centre green width wise which means moving the stands. The smaller amount is for making the track shorter which meeans moving the drains at one end if not both.

Leicester were to start the season with Simon Neilsen and Lewis Blackbird and Lewis Kerr as reserves. Messrs Blackbird and Kerr were to share the no 7 birth. Lewis Kerr decided he wanted more rides and so moved to Newcastle. When Leicester signed Robert Branford, the same thing happed with Lewis Blackbird (or so it was claimed). If you have a squad system, there will be claims by some riders that they are not getting enough rides and will want to move away as soon as there is a spot somewhere else.

The reserves only include programmed rides to qualify for heat 15. Anderson and Kurtz both had 8, the same as Gathercole.

Quite true but it was some years ago.

What you need are meetings like the Junior Championships at Leicester the other week - 42 races in little over 3 hours. The 2 minute buzzer was going before the riders from the previous race had left the track.

This meeting would be an ideal example of how we can cut out some of the Rider Replacements in speedway. Both teams could have brought in a NL rider and moved the other team members up so that both teams would be using 7 riders.
