in theory he would be - you could see him on song averaging near 11. But that assumes 1)he would still spend on top notch kit rather than scale down to the reduced income. 2)he remained fully commited. Its obvious at times he just doesnt seem interested and puts in less effort. That said even with the worst case scenario you would expect he would up his assessed start figure.

The Witches season ticket press release says we have one less group match in 2016. I must have missed something - are the groups changing? Is the southern group going to have the situation where its not home and away against all the other teams but each drops one? Anyone able to confirm the planned set up?

yes - when the other 4 are all capable of being a No1.

The priority rule was adjusted slightly last year so that if a rider was an asset of a PL team the PL gets priority and vice versa. The rider didnt need to be riding for the team he was an asset of.

i must say though that i dont really blame the clubs.If they offered say a 20% discount yes they may sell a few hundred rather than a few dozen but none would be to new fans and the club would just be out of pocket.

Speedway season tickets are not for those looking to save money. Generally they are more of a 'charity donation' of upfront payment. A free programme offer doesnt appeal to those of us that dont buy them either!

Re the clues always being a misdirection surely at some point one has to be true even if only to keep people guessing in the future. If not everyone just ignores it as BS.....

I think the 4 meeting adjustment is only in the EL in order to deal with the draft riders now getting official averages. I think the PL is still 4 home 4 away.

they will count and he should get his nice new lower average at about the end of the league cup group matches.Just in time for the 'real' PL campaign.......

I think thats a tidy side and should be very competitive. Its a shames that Rose didnt still fit (i have long been an advocate of Brit only reserves) I hope he gets a place elsewhere. If Brit riders like Rose Ash Branford etc dont get places then the new No7 rule has failed IMO. Sarjeant is a good signing - certainly further improvement in him.

Due to Swindon choosing Stefan Nielsen in the EL draft the Witches have it seems had to change the plan to use Lewis Rose. Castagna in for us so we can now fit in Sarjeant.

I would never say that JL is anything other than straight as a die. My point was that a press release wasnt going to say anything other than the 'party line' I also agree that the critisism of Phil was harsh. Whether you agreed with his decisions or not at least he was prepared to make them and stand by them which is what you want from a manager.
