  1. They did close the loophole. The reversion reg was removed from this years published document.
  2. I believe the regs altered last year to eliminate protests about line ups on the day of a meeting. All challenges have to come in the proceeding days.Once the meeting starts the teams having been ratified cannot be challenged by protest.
  3. So there are a few possiblescenarios 1- Babs put on the lights and awarded a 5-1 as per per positions at the fall but changed/was persuaded to change he mind 2 heats later. 2 - Babs didnt put on the lights but felt riders were impeded and so awarded at time of fall but changed/was persuaded to change 2 heats later. 3 - Babs didnt put the lights on and let the race finish as there was no impediment but failed to be able to tell the difference between riders from opposite teams and called the wrong result. She then changed/was persuaded to change 2 heats later. Whichever it doesnt look good on her. I dont buy the communication issue. Surely she has to ratify the official programme entry before continuing with the meeting. Again if this has not been correctly followed it doesnt look good on her.
  4. Last nights meeting did follow a familiar pattern for our away trips. Generally in the mix but have a run of 3-4 heats where we implode and give ourselves a mountain to climb. Take 4,5,6 (14-3) out of the equation last night and its a comfotable win. Sorting this out could be the key to any success.
  5. so presumably the red lights didnt come on?If so the right decision seems to have been made - in the end. As Wembleylion stated though I thought a race result couldnt be amended after it has been officially announced.
  6. Some you win some you lose. Early days and there are more important matches than this (hopefully!) at the other end of the season. Well done to the Rockets - enjoy it while you can - wink!
  7. glad to hear it - no man should have to make do with a shriveled sausage!
  8. The Town have done their bit now we need the Witches to make it an Ipswich away day double in Herts today.
  9. on the list along with 'my dog ate my kevlars! lol PS im still cold - was getting there but had a relapse after the solar eclipse!
  10. Not mechanical issues to blame for Ritchies crash apparently. Just a freakisk bit of bad luck. Was lifting when the red light came on - perhaps split second distraction - and didnt land the front wheel as needed to keep it upright!
  11. bruv went off early so didnt get to speak with him after. He has a busy day planned today but if I hear anything will let you know if I can.
  12. First time tonight that I have seen Lambert 'in the flesh' and I must say I was impressed. Looked very quick and certainly knows how to race. A little slow out of the gate apart from one blinder but if he can get some consistency in the that area he appears to have all the right ingredients to really push on.
  13. Ritchie has indeed broken a rib or two. Likely to be out for a couple of weeks - but you never know with these speedway boys!!
  14. if thats how it works here goes - 1 WORKY 2-12 the rest in any order 13 Ipswich
  15. its not certain that Gino even has a NEW visa. The press release from Ipswich simply stated that UKVI had confirmed he was OK to start the season. This was just 6 days after the return of the clubs sponsor licence so insufficient time for a new visa IMO from my understanding of the process.
  16. it is written in to the terms of use of the stadium - a local authority requirement. On a previous thread Im sure someone posted a link to the document.
  17. if you are going to use the 'watered down" arguement to try to back up your Risager case then you really have shot yourself in the foot for your Lambert case!
  18. this doesnt make sense - on the one hand you say we should go for an ex rider/club legend type but initially you are moaning Phil may be a 'Louis puppet'.Surely you should be happy if Chris is pulling the strings. Personally I think Phil is a strong enough character to put his own stamp on the job.
  19. havent things moved on to golf carts now? wink
  20. Thanks SCB. So just shows most of those around the same or better than Lambert average wise at that early age and the whole range from fade into obscurity to world champion within them.
  21. perhaps for Sidney you could dig out some Brit examples in their teenage debut/early years. eg Howe(David and Ben) Clouting Nicholls Screen Loram Louis Havelock etc
  22. I can add my vote to the 'Risager was highly rated/touted as a future world champ' side. The sport has had many like this and will always have them - only a very small minority will actually fulfil the prophecy. I remember Savalas Clouting beating Leigh Adams in the U21 qualifiers. Rather different careers thereafter!!
