  1. I had a bit of an anorak moment and done a few sums. There is not much to choose from!
  2. Fisher I think would have to be on his elite average conversion under the current guest rules as he isnt riding Prem this year.
  3. We would have up to 5.71 for EL average. Of the list Bash produced I think only Wolbert is under that. Bobby M is too!!
  4. Ricky Wells but then you have the problem of Thursdays! Josh Auty is a possiblity.
  5. I think the biggest shame if/when Woofy wins is that some will delight in diminishing his acheivement claiming it was only down to injuries to others. That would be far from the truth IMO. Not withstanding the fact that despite his position comfortably ahead of Hampel and Pedersen it is not unassailable. He still has work to do.
  6. I can see the jist of the arguement - if the speedway was cheaper perhaps more would attend. If 3000 turned up at £10 that would be better than the current 1200 at £15.50. However the bangers are less frequent and these 'bumper crowds' are for Id gues 3 or 4 of the meetings each year and not weekly for a 7 month period like the speedway.
  7. Thanks Abbott -presumably fractions higher at next decimal place. Shame the BSPA dont show rides/points as before on declarations.
  8. The hyper extension of his right leg looked horrible - there is bound to be some ligament damage at best. Hope it is not as bad as first reported. Most would want Tai to win the title but not because of something like this.
  9. There is a benefit to the Rebels in that Josh and Nick both got another look at the Foxhall track by taking their guest bookings. We have meetings this month at Edinburgh and Newcastle so the same applies for those.
  10. I can understand the cut off to avoid manipulation going into the play offs but rather nonsensical to prevent teams from replacing genuinely injured riders. Sadly this is potentially affecting all the top 4 teams in the PL and could allow a poor Worky to sneek the title.(sad face for first bit but with tongue in cheek smiley for the last bit)
  11. Dates announced today. Both teams now with injuries to cover (lets hope there are no more in the next few weeks) Still expect a humdinger of a tie and too tight to call this far ahead. Will keep my powder dry on a prediction until closer to the first leg. Up the Witches!!
  12. All the best to Ben for a full and speedy recovery. A big blow to our end of season hopes. Its a measure of how good our season has been that an away draw at a less than favoured track seems something of a disappointment tonight. Still 2 more points though.
  13. Just the sort of rider commitment needed to stabilise the future of British speedway!
  14. What a nice problem that would be to have. We produce say even only 2 of these superstars each year from the 'wobbling juniors' that fly the nest to foreign leagues and in a decade we have 20 true international standard riders in their prime aged 25-30. What would we give for that now?
  15. Its often the fans of the clubs already out of the running that start these threads so early and then no one wants to be left out!! In the abscence of any real facts its always best to make something up - isnt it? lol Perhaps any shake up may include some form of rider control/allocation rendering assets null and void.(see paragraph 2!!)
  16. Rumours are for a points limit at 38.5 so a big No1 doesn't seem feasible if that is the case. I don't think there is a team anywhere in the PL that wouldn't want Lambert. Aside from Cam who is a must to return how about going for an all British team. Using 38.5 something like Auty, Lanham, Heeps, Neilsen, Hawkins, Ellis, Lambert would fit.
  17. Id say its a no lose situation. If he comes in and doesnt score a point then its hardly going to break the season for the Tigers. If he is a revelation then they have a start fir next year.
  18. 3 to get 10 each and the others 4 each to pick up a win - come on we can do that!
  19. The best thing about this thread is that you are all confident there will be a 2014 team whatever the format/points limit.
  20. Come on guys show a bit of confidence! Our team can win this type of match - who would have predicted the win at Worky for example? Witches to score 47 and take 3 more points.
  21. People will always disagree about the qualities of commentators but you must be doing something right to be as memorable as Tony Millard. Multi sport knowledgeable and a uniquely honed style set him above the norm in his field. RIP.
