Tyre Investigation
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to BuxtonTiger's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not sure if it was the case but it did look like they were running higher tyre pressures last night -

British speedway is a joke.

The trouble is Trees is that you love the indifferent ones , the bad ones and the downright piss taking ones just as much too..... -
Nothing points to having to be at 2 so BV could place Wright (or indeed any other than the No1) there and use RR elsewhere should the facility be needed
-
The Rising Star position should only be filled by a Rising Star whatever position in the 1-7 And he did have "special heats" whilst at No7 as heat 8 is protected which guaranteed him half his rides against weaker Rising Stars.....

Ipswich 2022
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Gutted for Danyon - speedy recovery fella -
Mockery it is then!! Charles Wright and 2 foreign reserves (so a recent British and current German Champion) now able to take the rides of the RS position
-
R/R would make a mockery of the RS system

Panthers v Tigers 29/08/22
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to scoobydoo's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Given the general making it up as you go along approach of modern speedway surely the sensible thing in these very unusual circumstances was for the referee and both teams to have agreed that each team could have and use extra new tyres do the public weren't short changed and a 'proper result' achieved -

Sheffield v Belle Vue 25th August
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to 4thbender's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sheffield speedway appears to be no longer fit for purpose Constant track and stadium issues and never able to deal with the slightest of set backs Time to pull out of the league and leave it to the clubs that can organise themselves satisfactorily -
Witches v Wolves 25th Aug

That narrows down that you're not in Kings Lynn then -
Sheffield Tigers 2022
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to OdsalBoy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You would think one of th 3 changes mustve been an injury replacements but all 3 have been fit and ridden again so can't be classed as "long term' as per the regulation At least one of Sheffields declarations has therefore been illegal unless Allen returns in place of Sedgman -
Usyk v Joshua 2
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Sidney the robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
One dodgy judge not enough to rob Usyk of the deserved win AJ lost the plot a bit after and at one point looked like he was going to go off the rails. Just about managed to refit the facade but the speech was bizarre -
UK speedway slowly dying
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to old bob at herne bay's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I'd say that may not be too far out There is a video from the lap of the parade truck which obviously pans round the whole crowd. The gaps were quite alarming! -
Eric Boothroyd
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Dornier's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Sad news - a little before my time but any fan with an eye on the history of the sport will recognise him as a main stay of the 'old guard' RIP -
Premiership Pairs
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv replied to Diamonds85's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sheffield will be struggling to fit everything in Still have 4 league fixtures , this pairs , a cup final and play offs That's as many fixtures in the last 2 months as they have managed to complete in the first 5!!
