If Edinburgh have to go with r/r then I think the Witches would be disappointed with a lead of less than 20.

The should be a hard fought spicy encounter. Disappointed to see Craig Cook missing again - the choice of guest could decide the overall result Imo. Witches need at least 12 points lead to feel comfortable defending in the 2nd leg. This isnt an end of season filler so hope to see a big turnout as weather looks fine. Witches by 14.

The play offs have to take priority - that is No1 competition and must be completed first . Semi finals should have been out of the way before the end of August even if it had meant double headers early on.

Not saying this is right but it couldbe argued that world speedway rode the coat-tails of British speedway for decades and now its payback time re British wildcards. Who that wildcard is doesnt matter but a Brit there should be.

Taking the devils advocate view - Mjj may have won but he hardly set the world alight in the heats just scraping into the semis on countback and in his other gp didnt make the semis. A huge talent but no shoe in.

Unless the track is literally under water surely it will go ahead otherwise there could be utter chaos with regards getting all competitions completed.

Great effort from both sides in difficult conditions. A better meeting than many run in perfect weather. Schrammy must have set a new record - paid 4 points without beating anyone that finished a race and had more falls than rides!!

As I said unless they have been financially naive.... Pension rules are somewhat different for professional sportsman. (dependant on residency of course) Many are set up as Ltd companies I believe which gives them certain tax flexibilties. Brown envelopes of course have tax free contents as well.(winking smiley) All very different for those who are not / havent been top GP / international level riders granted. Much the same in relative terms as Premiership footballlers against League 1 journeymen.

Unless they are very naive with their finances I cant imagine the likes of Greg, Tomasz and Jason needing to worry about having to earn another penny again.
