  1. Add it to the list of the symptoms of long covid
  2. Which is exactly why it's dying on its ar$e....
  3. There is 3 months left of this season plus a 6 month close season. In that time there will be a number of BSPL meetings and an official agm Time for at least 3 sets of rules and regs to be devised, manipulated and dropped before implementing plan z for 2022 which almost certainly will mean stage 2 of this seasons 5 year plan being shelved in favour of the latest scheme that favours certain quarters
  4. I wish my glass was only half empty - right now I'm swilling the dregs ready to rinse and put away in the cupboard.....
  5. Incompetence abounds then - not an unusual occurrence unfortunately So many of these 'not considered when the rule was written' scenarios in recent years have been spotted and highlighted within minutes of release
  6. This fits in perfectly with the current speedway ethos as it is complete gibberish
  7. No I wouldn't expect that of him individually - that would be plain stupid! The development of Anders has been a great highlight of the season btw The situation though belittles the sport and removes any credibility it may still have Speedway in Britain now is moving away from any true competition and bordering on the realms of WWE as 'sports entertainment ' The trouble is that much of the time the entertainment part is also missing......
  8. Although Ellis wasn't a rider averaging 3 points more than the one he was replacing which was the effective position with Rowe for Bates This is just the straw that breaks the camels back - in itself its an almost nothing situation The sport just stumbles from one BS decision to another with no transparency and little consistency and constant self interest gerrymandering A new 5 year plan is instigated (poorly) every year - has one even made a 2nd season yet?? Perhaps I've just fallen out of love with the sport and after 18 months away am just realising I didn't really miss it as I thought I would I've not been entertained by the on track offering and have lost much of the feeling that there is any connection with those in my teams colours I'm certainly on the cusp of being in the 'ex speedway fan' category at this time
  9. Tonight's events see 2 great late passes by a Witches rider earn Sheffield 3 match points they otherwise would likely not have got and all but condemn our play off hopes Sheffield were vulnerable in 4th place and the only realistic position for us to catch I'm done with it and won't be attending next week. Why should I pay £19 for this shambles of a sport
  10. Congratulations Anders on 2 great passes late on to earn Sheffield 3 points and ensure his own team has less chance of making the play offs.......
  11. No doubt and possibly the one potential small positive from it if there is one at all Far more negative about it though which outweighs it IMO
  12. Can't argue with that but at least the replacement has similar or lower average In this case its 3 points higher on true form but masked by the RS grading system I'm thinking that perhaps Ioswich should replace Anders with a new signing up to his 5.49 average and then replace Drew with Anders as the RS Can't see anything in the rules to prevent that....
  13. As farcical as this RS guesting situation is in itself the more pertinent point for me is the impact on his own team If Anders does well then he puts the very slim chance his own team has of catching Sheffield as the vulnerable 4th placed team in deeper jeopardy I suppose the only saving grace is that in the scheme of things the play offs and even winning a championship mean eff all in terms of any tangible reward!
  14. As the saying goes (with some poetic licence added) If at first you don't succeed troll and troll again...
  15. Crowd last night really down to it being on TV as much as anything. The other factors of losing and frustrations may have some toll on the future meetings now though. Will still be attendances that would be the envy of most mind..... Can't say the chance to win £1000 by paying MORE than would usually for a meeting that could be accessed for free was much of an appeal to me The track seemed to offer a bit more last night to how it has been so far this season but again the opposition read it better than us
  16. Doesn't matter - Holder one time couldn't remember from one interview to the next whether it was hip knee or ankle or which leg!
  17. What wash the cups and sweep the floor of the changing rooms?
