Leicester v Poole SGB Premiership A. 9/4/18
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Are Poole a better side than Somerset??? Yes and Somerset went to Leicester and lost by only 2 points. On that basis you should win at Leicester or are you saying that Somerset are a better side than Poole? If Poole dont win, and Somerset can get within 2 points, then i would say thats a poor result for Poole. -
Ipswich v Peterborough CS 5-4-18@7-30pm

Didnt go last night but seems the boys need a few more laps to get used to the new track and the lines. If you sign riders like Heeps and Covatti then give them a dirt line its how they ride. If those 2 come alive then all will be fine. It appears Danyon was making starts followed by mistakes so im not to worried after his long lay off he will come good. The new boy more than did his job so that was pleasing. Far to early to push panic buttons -

Will be an early season shock if Poole fail to win this one. The hot favourites for the league are clear favourites to win this when you match the sides up. Vaculik v Kurtz.....................If Kurtz has pretensions of being a real number one he should be looking to outscore Vaculik who has no experience of racing over here. Pieszczek v Josh...............same here. Josh was a number one last season now up against a young Pole , if Josh doesnt win this battle i will be stunned. King v Woryna...............only real area i can see Poole struggling, King should have to much for Woryna. Palm Toft v Sundstrom..............Sundstrom on the cusp of being a gp rider should be able to take care of MPT Hans v Kildemand...............Hans on the downgrade against a GP rider in Kildemand who should do well. If Holder had of been riding i would have fancied Hans here. Newman v Saucepan............a rider like Saucepan smashing it in Poland should have to much for Newman though could be close. Sarj v Shanes................if sarj avoids the tapes could be close but you would say Shanes is the better rider. Cant see how any side can even get close to the magnificent 7 this season and once the Poles find their feet Poole might not even lose a match they are that good. Poole by 10 in this -

Should be a walk in the park for the magnificent 7 really. Pooles 1 and 2 should outscore Leicesters and although Poole look weaker at the number 3 spot they have a superstar Pole in reserve who should easily outscore Newman. Could depend on how Sundstrom goes against Palm Toft. You would think this should be Poole by 10 -

Poole V Wolves SGB PREM A. 4th April 2018
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
One of the most comical threads on Poole for a long time. Shovlar completely showing himself up on here over about 6 pages makes for very comical reading. Firstly telling everyone that the meeting at Wolves should have gone ahead because from his home in Dorset he knew the weather in Wolverhampton Secondly then telling everyone that this meeting would be on because guess what 'technology' said it would be Thirdly the meeting is off because guess what...'technology' got it wrong. Shovlar can tell what the weather is in Wolverhampton form 180 miles away but cant get it right when its outside his front door!! Surely he must be sick of everyone laughing at him on here -
I know but Shovlar was telling Wolves supporters that lived in Wolverhampton that he knew that the weather was fine up there when he was all the way down in Poole.
-
Its sunshine here in essex to so i cant see any reason at all why the Poole meeting should be off tonight
-
Remind me again then how good KK , Jack and Newman were for your team then? They done so well all 3 were asked back this season??? If you want to have a pop at me at least come back with something that has some substance
-
You just cant make up the garbage that comes from Shovlar, including now telling people from Wolves that it was dry yesterday! Seem to remember pre season last year KK - best number one in the league Klindt - best reserve in the league Kurtz and Holder - new turbo twins Newman - Mr Poole and he beat Tai as well , could end up a heatleader How did that all turn out lol This season there are doubts over the Poles, Linus and already Holder has gone awol. Love the crowing about the team this season..................exactly like last year and that went spectacularly wrong.
-
So a Holder who isnt in the right frame of mind, has seen his form nosedive over the last 2 seasons is actually a stronger rider right now then Kildemand??? Kildemand over Holder every day of the week right now, Holder has loads to prove

Poole V Wolves SGB PREM A. 4th April 2018
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And so it begins...... Shovlar saying Wolves will have the advantage lol you couldn’t make it up but it’s exoected. All pre season we hear how Poole will blow the opposition away.......first meeting at home and the opponents have the edge lol. Priceless comedy -
Spot on Poole should have walked the league last season but choked so badly their number one went and rode for a club he enjoyed riding for. We had it all before last season how good the Poole 1-7 was and it didnt deliver and this seasons 1-7 looks riskier , already Chris Holder is missing, who knows how the Poles will go and Sundstrom as well. There isnt a lot of talking about Shovlar , nobody really takes him seriously on here. Decent Poole fans see the bigger picture , and its no suprise that Shovlar seems to be just as much of an idiot at the track as well. Matt Ford good for Poole and a disaster for the sport

Leicester vs Somerset Monday 26th March Challenge
Gavan replied to SomersetBlue's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Still can’t see why Poole let a rider like Andersen go with whom you knew what you were getting and instead brought in Sundstrom? -
Poole v Somerset & Somerset v Poole. Good Friday.
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I can see Somerset keeping it close at Poole and then winning by more at home. As i said the Poles and Sundstrom will need to dial in and then you have Klidemand who could easily get 10-12 or have 2 falls and get 5-6 -
Poole v Somerset & Somerset v Poole. Good Friday.
Gavan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Looking at the line ups can see the top 5 of Somerset giving Poole a lot to think about. Depends on how quick the Poles settle in and which Kildemand turns up -
If Chris Holder has allowed himself to be pictured holding a beer bottle and have it on his instagram page then he deserves to be the first person 'jumped all over' if he was due to get on a speedway bike. If he wasnt drinking then it wont matter a jot. He is allowed out drinking if he isnt racing but you cant moan that if he is racing that he shouldnt be the first person to be checked out.

Im confused. If a track is raceable then its rideable yes? If a track is rideable doesnt mean its raceable You cant state a track is raceable i.e meaning riders can race and overtake without it being rideable surely? Belle Vue v Poole a few years ago in the rain when Poole forced the meeting to heat 10. Track was rideable but the riders couldnt race on it.
-
Starman........you put the track was raceable but not rideable Im pretty sure you meant to say rideable not raceable.
-
Have a look over the thread How many people are having a pop at you? Pretty much everyone.........same as on the Swindon match thread where you mock Dan Bewley. You have the audacity to call me a troll.................well so far apart form you ive not had anyone disagreeing with what ive wrote. I need a calculator to add up the people on both threads having a go at you Yes you are the gift that keeps on giving
-
100% spot on. Try explaining it to the blinkered troll lol
-
Yes ladies and gentlemen here it is again. Season after season month after month the same old line from Poole fans.............................................we are all jealous and anti Poole!!! What a pathetic excuse and reason. Lack of intelligence clearly the reasoning behind the jealousy comment.
-
I know what your saying but how does a rider ride in 2 GP'S and gets saddled with a higher average then one who rode in 9? Farcical
-
Poole have managed to bring in a Polish ringer and now replaced a rider on the downgrade in Holder with Kildemand. If Poole somehow mess this season up like the last 2 then surely its time for Middlo to walk? They cant mess up having clearly the best team for the third year in a row can they?
-
Max Fricke rode over here in 2017 so your point is somewhat flawed. But yes if Fricke had ridden in 9 gp's and hadnt ridden over here last season then quite rightly he should be a 9, same as Kildemand should be. I ask again if Nicki Pedersen wanted to ride here he would be a 9...................why?
