  1. You will never get 7 riders improving their average… you only need 3 or 4 to do that …. I maybe wrong I haven’t checked but Belle Vue won the league and I’m sure Bewley Lidsey and Blödorn didn’t add much to their averages if at all As mentioned people need to realise that King riding at 2 with Doyle means in those heats he is likely to only get third places and hopefully win heat 8 to get 6 a meeting ….sometimes he will get 8 when beating the opposing heat leader but sometimes only get 4 or 5 if an opposing second string like a Blödorn or Pickering beats him …. That’s where he is and that’s more than acceptable
  2. I think Danny’s average will fall for one reason … he is riding at number 2 As a number 3 you face opposition heat leaders in every race along with a weaker rider from each team … let’s say at number 3 you lose to the opposition heat leader but beat the two lesser riders … that’s 8 points from 4 rides If Danny rides at number 2 he will be with Doyle and an opposing heat leader so in those instances he will get three third places and hopefully a win in heat 8 thus making 6 points Some brain dead Ipswich fans will probably not understand this and expect that Danny’s average will rise
  3. Danny riding at 2 or 4 is a fantastic signing … not so much if he is at 3….. can easily see him scoring 6 or 7 at home every week and with a strong top 3 that’s all we need…. Though im sure first meeting of the season lets say home to Belle Vue and he is in heat 1 and gets third behind Doyle and Kurtz that some Ipswich fans will moan about it lol
  4. With Brennan at number 3 only leaves King Rew and Ellis to fill the 2 and 4 spots …. Preferably Rew and Ellis for me But for all the King haters I’m sure Danny riding at 2 or 4 would get 6 or 7 most home meetings and that’s more than enough People seem to forget Danny rode as a leader at 3 or 5 all season and was struggling with a bad injury yet averaged more than Ellis who rode at 2 or 4….. that’s nothing against Ellis by the way just speaking the facts
  5. Born in 1976 and my early days where at grass tracks (my uncle is Ray Andrews who was passenger for Dave ‘Ben’ Heath )….. first started speedway in 1982 at Rye house and memories of Garrad Naylor and Cox all in black and white check leathers and Andy Fines in red and white check and the histrionics of Mullarkey …. Always used to cheer for our reserves … Bryenton Chaplin and Ott and then the best of the lot came through Andrew Silver ….. then remembering Kerry Gray who came to my aunties on Christmas Day …. Good times
  6. Birmingham Oxford and Sheffield the weakest
  7. Fine line between reckless and dangerous I don’t believe he is dangerous or deliberately knocking riders off He is reckless riding above his capabilities at times Unfortunately you have the Poole blinkered mafia who won’t hear a word against him or see when he has done wrong Hopefully it’s because he is a trier and he tries too hard …. Because at some point things have to change for him he can’t keep riding how he is
  8. Tobias was the rider of the play offs??? Scores of 2 and 5 against Workington and then 4 away at Oxford in the final before 10 at home against a weak Oxford …. Might be entertaining and tries hard but to say he was Pooles top rider in the play offs is laughable
  9. Is it the strongest top 4….. Doyle Emil Brennan and Ellis similar Rew will do better than Rowe Dan T and Jenkins are better than Gilkes and Flint It’s an ok Sheffield side and will make the play offs but doesn’t look like a championship winning one ….. Then again anything can happen in speedway
  10. I would say Foord is totally reckless which in turn leads to him being dangerous Over riding the bike and little or no regard for his opponents He hasn’t got the skill set to ride as he is therefore yes he is dangerous
  11. So just for perspective King averaged more than Ellis King rode at 3 or 5 most of the season and Ellis rode at 2 or 4. Personally I don’t mind which of the two we keep as I believe they will do a similar job if they ride at number 2 Danny King is now not going to go out and get you 10 points every meeting like some deluded Ipswich fans expected at the end of the season he isn’t that level As back up to Jason Emil and Tom he would do a decent enough job riding at two I have zero preference over King or Ellis I’d welcome both back as a second string not a heat leader ….. I just feel Danny has become an easy target for some of our fans
  12. Yes have him back so he can maim the other riders so you win Awful attitude as well
  13. So it’s ok for Foord to celebrate when an ambulance was on for Killeen He is a loser and will go nowhere with his attitude …. Modern day Bridger
  14. If you support Poole and don’t agree with the following then you are not a speedway fan Foord should have been excluded … he is simply a danger on a bike and his and his family’s reactions were disgraceful…. If you condone that that’s shocking Boughen rightfully was excluded with Zach Cook …. Bet you Poole numpties agree there Nicholls made a good start Poole fans except the odd one or two are so pathetically blinkered it’s embarrassing Shovlar is a troll and like a child and nobody takes him seriously Then you get a few other morons trying to defend Foord lol Foreverblue I’m not including you
  15. When are your eyes being tested Fair play you deserved the title but why are Poole fans like this ? Cant see anything wrong ever This is why Poole are not liked it’s their idiotic fan base
  16. What a disgrace Vinnie Foord is Im sure the usual Poole morons will defend him as usual Another tainted league win for the pirates
  17. Foord is a liability on a bike and dangerous Shame Oxford are the walking wounded but Poole can only beat what’s in front of them I await the Poole morons when they when insufferable bunch of weirdos
  18. I’m still bemused how people think that riders like King and Ellis … who both were signed as riders to get maybe 8-9 at home and 6-7 away …. were all of a sudden expected to be banging in double figures when Jason and Emil got injured
  19. Idiots on here saying Doyle shouldn’t be in lol Won a round and cane second in another before injury Then I read some moron saying he isn’t likely to be world champion!!! As statements go that’s pretty hilarious as I would say the only only likely world champions this season would be the top 5 from this season Does that clown think Fricke Kurtz Thomsen Kubera have more chance then Doyle lol ….. I certainly don’t think Doyle will win it but with no Emil or Laguta is he in the top 15 in the world …. Yes quite easily
  20. Surely you know what Poole fans are like by now When they win a match it’s Shovlar saying it’s against the odds and that other fan going on about his stupid coffee… or people saying they know more than others Then when they lose tonight it all goes quiet and not a peep from them …. Worst losers always have been …. The comments on social media show you what their fanbase is like So we all now need to wait for the Shovlar to tell us how much it will be a shock if they overturn this deficit … it won’t be … but in his eyes it will be the biggest comeback since Lazurus Just the weirdest fanbase in the sport
  21. In fact the more I look at it the more one sided this will be Masters and Heeps may outscore Lawson and Hagon The Cook brothers at 3 and 4 should double what Boughen and Gilkes get at 3 and 4 Nicholls and Brennan similar Poole reserves are far stronger Poole should win both legs
  22. As in Ipswich fan I agree that Brady Kurtz was the rider of the season.
  23. Can’t see Poole choking against a depleted Oxford Those are the breaks in speedway we had it at Ipswich this season Poole can only beat what’s in front of them
  24. You need to have 2 big hitters who will get you around 13 points each a meeting The best 3 teams in the league had Doyle and Emil… Kurtz and Bewley and Holder and Tai…. Those 6 riders aren’t going to get any better but they will get you what you need from them Kings Lynn pack their side with riders who aren’t number ones and aren’t going to get any better like Lawson NKI Basso …. Plenty of those riders about like Craig Cook and Danny King and even Chris Harris …. Theses guys will get you 6-7 a meeting but will occasionally get you 10 and sometimes 5…. You can’t rely on a 1-7 of riders at that level it won’t work as the team with the big hitters will pack the rest of the team with improvers who at times will beat the ‘Lawson’ type of rider….. nobody would be shocked if Rew, Pickering or Ben Cook beat Lawson or King would they Two big hitters a solid third heat leader and then second strings who can get you 6 a meeting is the way to go Kings Lynn have a 1-5 of riders who will get on average 7 a meeting… some will get 10 and some 5…… that’s only around 42 points a meeting it’s not enough At Ipswich you knew Doyle and Emil would get minimum 25 at home …. King and Ellis usually 14 between them …. Leaves 3 riders to get 6 and we had Dan and Rew doing that all season
