Its a farce that a Speedway World Cup winner who when he rode here 2 years ago in a stronger league all of a sudden becomes a second string. Now Poole have done nothing wrong he was available to anyone, but it does make you think that Ford has some inside info that others dont. He moved very quickly to capture him. So Poole have a team that consists of A rider in the top 8 in the world (Holder) A rider who started last season at number 1 (Andersen) A rider who averaged over 7 from a second string ( Watt) A rider who WON the world cup, ridden as a heat leader but somehow (because its Poole) is a second string (Buck) Very promising young rider good signing (Kurtz) A rider who is quite happy being a reserve with no desire to better himself so is one of the best in the league (Newman) One of the best second reserves (Ellis) So thats the elite league title done again and people wonder why the sport is dying. Still according to Starman its all about winning the sport doesnt matter

Yet another nail in the death of elite league speedway. Poole 1st the rest nowhere. How on earth Buck is not deemed a heat leader is farcical.
-
a reasoned response which is basically all i was looking for. Correct nothing has been said 100% about Sam but theres no smoke without fire. Of course Cook is a huge loss but so is a high scoring second string like Sedgman.
-
wasnt having a dig at you was merley sayin we can all post on any thread what was wrong with my post? i merely said Edinburgh might struggle more this season after losing 3 good quality riders? surely thats a fair point to make? yet back came a fan being smug how good Edinburgh are rather than debating No i have a problem with one Poole fan that even his own fans cant stand. why is it negative to post that Edinburgh may struggle to replace 3 riders who were so good for them?
-
they have quite correct not concerned. its called a forum and its called a discussion and funnily enough people can comment on anyones thread thats the way it works. Just ask The Scotsman who constantly comes on the Ipswich thread. no need for the smugness of how many times you have won stuff and giving others a chance as it just gives more fuel to the fire for people who dislike the Edinburgh fans for their attitudes. Its a discussion as a team that won the league is losing 3 out of its top 4 riders from last season and how they could be replaced. try getting involved without the snide remarks
-
Not looking good for the Monarchs team building. The loss of Cook is huge To then lose a rider just below top class in the league like Masters (only Cook, Stead and King better in my opinion) would be huge And to lose arguably the best scoring second string in the league just tops it off. Some real rabbits need pulling from hats or this is a season of struggle
-
ok i ask again if you have 7.37 available and you sign someone with that average who is the second string? King or the new rider on a 7+ average????? they couldnt bring anyone in on a higher average than King otherwise they would have had 4 heat leaders couldnt have been had a higher average than King laught it up! If Poole go with Holder Buck and Hans as heat leaders they to will fall short of the limit like Coventry have spot on!! why people do not understand that if you have 7.5 to fill yet already have 3 heat leaders off the list your last signing must be a lower average than your third heat leader is beyond me. Just out of interest if Poole have a heat leader trio of Hans Holder and Buck. Plus Newman Kurtz and Ellis what does it leave for the final rider?? because the final riders average can not be any higher than Hans Andersens irrelevent of the points they have left
-
Sorry if you though that was aimed at you it wasnt. Nobody (yet lol) is having a dig at Poole, but it so happens that Hans Andersen is one of the riders involved ut im also discussing what Coventry can do with their 7.27 left over.
-
Its at Foxhall not Armadump
-
Knickers in a twist yet again. Poole have history for bending or breaking the rules when they see fit and having a strop if it doesnt go there way. The majority of people questioning the heat leader list is Poole fans who for some reason think Hans should be a second string. The 15th highest placed rider is quite clearly amongst the top 24 riders and should be a heat leader. But what most are saying is that somehow bet your life Hans isnt on the list and its only Poole fans who believe he shouldnt be. If Hans Andersen had signed for any other club Poole fans would admit he is a heat leader Nobody has seen a list, nobody is saying they know the rules, its called a discussion. Im merely pointing out with the help of TNT list that Hans Andersen should be a heat leader. Im also asking if now Coventry have signed KK and have over 7 points left can they sign a rider with that average effectively having 4 heat leaders
-
So i am right in saying that Coventry have 7.27 left to play with. If they find a rider not on the list who is that average then Danny King will be a second string? Because what you are suggesting means Coventry have 7.27 left to play with but cant sign a rider higher than Kings average? Which means that technically you can sign North and Walasek (bottom 2 in the average) then sign 3 riders who didnt ride over here on higher averages , so that North and Walasek 'drop off' the list and become second strings? Makes no sense
-
Is that the case? I cant see how that can happen. Technically with what you are saying you can sign the bottom 2 riders on the heat leader list (North and Walasek) then as long as you sign 3 riders with higher averages than North and Walasek that those 2 can then be second strings? That surely becomes farcical. Coventry have signed 3 heat leaders KK, Harris and King. They have 7.27 spare. So you are saying Coventry can now sign a rider on that average and King will become a second string?
-
The only people who think Hans isnt in the top 24 riders are Poole fans with their own agenda. Yet to see any Coventry fans moaning that King is a heat leader? Hans Andersen had roughly the 15th best average. So in that respect any fan of a rider form 16-24 can expect there rider to ride as second string? Come on you know he should be a heat leader. Poole are looking for a way to have Holder Watt Hans and Buck and it cant happen
-
They dont ride its simple really. You cant make rider number 24 on the heat leader list become a second string because KK is back
-
Thats because im sure behind the scene Ford is trying to pull a fast one somehow. Hans Andersen 15th best average in the elite league yet Poole fans think he shouldnt be in the list of 24!! Come on wake up! is that the Davey Watt the 7th highest rider that you also want as a second string lol
-
well said tnt Im sure the south coast mob will not agree with their 3 heat leaders!
-
Poole have Hans(if on the list as he should be) Buck and Holder as heat leaders. That will leave them about 7 points for a second string that cant be on the heat leader list so what are the options for that final rider?
-
You dont think Poole will want him as a second string??? Of course they would. As is say Hans Andersen should be on the list quite clearly. The cloak and dagger of it all will only lead to accusations. If somehow Hans or Buck are classed as second strings its farcical and makes the sport a joke.
-
If any rider who didnt ride here last season has an average , obtained from a heat leader position, higher than the bottom rider on the list, they are classed as a heat leader surely its not rocket science. Buck, KK , Woffinden, Mads and the like will all be heat leaders if they ride here in 2016 as they should be.
-
Wow yet again the fans of the Poole 'fiddlers' Pirates amaze. There will be a list with the names of 24 heat leaders on it from last seasons elite league - simple If someone comes back to this country after having a break and there average is higher than someone on the list they come back as a heat leader if that average was gained in a heat leader position - simple Any rider coming back to the uk does not replace someone on the list. I.E the 24th rider on the list doesnt become a second string now if KK is back or anyone else - simple. If Hans Andersen i on the list of 24 riders he stays on the list irrelevent of who comes back to the UK. Bucks average was gained from a heat leader role so he will be a heat leader not hard to understand. Hans Andersen (if on the list which lets face it if he isnt is a huge fiddle) will also be a heat leader leaving one place left (Holder?) Otherwise a team could take 3 riders off the list but leave 8 or 9 points and then sign Hampel or Woffinden. Come on Poole fans its not hard to understand surely. If anyone thinks Hans Andersen should not be a heat leader (i.e one of the top 24 riders in the league) then i suggest they dont know much about the sport. He is on a low average yet the south coast mafia arent happy with that they want it manipulated taht he rides as a second string
-
People slagging off the signing of Risager are quite clueless really. Yes we all know he is dating Chris Louis daughter but thats the only reason. At home his points will be invaluable. Maybe would struggle as a heat leader but will there be a better second string in the league especially at home where we threw away a lot of points last season. If Kerr struggles to start with then he would go second string so we should be to good at home for a lot of teams.
-
for once in your life start using your brain pal. true speedway fans dont want to see the sport go to the wall but you are just so thick you cant see any issues, as long as Poole win who cares what happens to the sport hey!! butt out and let the adults have a discussion about what to do with the sport
-
So if Buck is a heat leader and Hans is on the list then surely thats 2 of Pooles 3 heat leader spots? Holder then must be the other you would think. Wonder why he hasnt signed yet?
-
i agree with riders that rode as second strings will have inflated averages so like Summers and Lindgren its obvious. But if someone like Buck who obtained his average as a heat leader comes back and is a second string below a heat leader thats wrong surely? Lets be fair Buck got his average as a heat leader and Andersen rode as a second string some of last season so if Hans is on the list then Buck with a higher average HAS to be a heat leader
-
I havent seen the list at all. What im saying is if he is on the list then its black and white end of discussion
