Ive said it before Peterborough can be a huge yawnfest and it is tonight. Has anybody actually passed anyone apart from a mistake? Good luck Nigel and Kelvin trying to jazz this up! Fast track doesn't always equal good racing this is turgid

Leicester V Belle Vue 20/6/15
Gavan replied to stevethelion's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I find it quite incredible that fans can support a foriegn rider over a Brit. If you are a fan of Leicester then your supprt should be with Tai , Bomber and Cook. Not Doyle. By all means cheer Doyle on in a race where there is no Brit involved. Seen this so many times over the years Cradley fans in the 80's and then more recently Poole fans supporting Holder Ward and Magic. At Ippo we had Gollob TR and Louis in the series and i would cheer Chris on against the other 2. Once Chris was out and the other Brits then yes i would cheer on Tony or Gollob -
almost correct. Lee did storm off but never got changed. The interview was in his leathers and he said the rule was killing speedway. Asked wether he was going to ride he said he had to it was England. I think the incident is on You Tube

I think ive read it all now when I see people actually saying they like to see crashes as it adds to the enjoyment! Well personally (and these are the only ones ive seen 'live') it wasn't much fun seeing Paul Muchene slid off slowly but right under the wheel of the poor Nick Floyd. It wasn't great fun seeing Frede Schott and Brett Saunders crash dramatically at Foxhall one night. I didn't really enjoy seeing Andy Galvin's career practically be over twice, once in a broken leg at Rye House and once a broken neck at Arena. And then finally the great Mark Lorams career ending crash that destroyed the back straight at Foxhall. What Pedersen did to Hancock THIS TIME was in my eyes hard not dirty. Nicki quite rightly was excluded. What Hancock did was inexcusable absolutely but sometimes enough is enough. When Boycey punched Gollob it was for the same reasons the riders had had enough. To be fair Gollob seemed to change an awful lot after that punch, maybe he realised he needed to change and im sure most fans now don't see Gollob as dirty, hard maybe but not unfair. Unfortunatly its probably to late for Nicki to change. He cant pass people without basically almost putting them out the race. If he needs to know how to pass people fairly he needs to study Loram and yes even Darcy. If you want to see hard and fair racing im sure there is a link somewhere to a race at Poole between Havvy, Loram, Hancock and Hamill. Watch them throw the bikes at each other but never dangerous always showing respect for their opponent

Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15
Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Unfortunatly Poole have the lions share of terrible fans. Tends to tarnish it for the decent ones -
Ok your rants about Hancock are getting beyond the pale. If you think that was Greg wiping someone out than all I can suggest is you don't see a lot of speedway. He moved over as Vaculik was about to chop back. Its a racing incident where Greg was at fault happens all the time. This whole thread has been taken over by people who either: a. cant stand Hancock (bwitcher) b. cant stand Nicki (that idiot from poole arya) The posts from these 2 should be ignored as they don't have the intellect to debate it seems, and in Bwitchers case said the incident was 50/50 as to who should be excluded lol From an impartial point of view Nicki Pedersen has had it coming to him for a long time. This incident wasn't that hard compared to the other stuff he has done throughout his career but it was the straw that broke the camels back the other riders are fed up with his antics. It was a shock it was Hancock who did it to be fair but they have got previous. Hancock himself was out of order and the statement afterwards didn't show him in a good light. I do like the posts about the other riders giving Greg an easy time!!! What a load of old tosh! He makes the starts and when on song they don't get near him If he is caught he doesn't battle and doesn't ride dirty and leaves riders room so no you wont see a lot of elbows flying when people pass him. But whatever way you look at it Nicki is box office and are people going to Cardiff wanting to see Nicki or Greg? Nicki I would say.

you need to stop posting and think about what you write. you wish Nicki to break his neck what a morinic statement. oh and for your info the move THIS TIME by Nicki was not that hard no mate ive had a ban for calling someone a numpty. you on the other hand are posting what can only be decribed as quite sick and disgusting comments
-
and another pathetic response. is it just Poole fans that write crap on here! applauding Darcy - unbelieveable but then again on the south coast you idolise idiots
-
i expect nothing more from you and your quite sad pathetic posts. look at everone on this thread moaning at you. now do yourself a favour and just keep quiet
-
Im sorry i usually agree with you on most things (mainly the Poole idiots like starman and arya who needs a ban) but i think you are wrong on this one. Greg was taken off it wasnt 50/50 Pedersen rightfully was excluded. However i agree there have been far worse , far harder moves in racing and there was no need for Greg to react the way he did and he quite rightly deserves a ban or even a fine. The issue is that Pedersen is a hard rider bordering on dirty at times so most things he does are blown up out of proportion at times. What is funny is that jumped up little twerp Darcy Ward gets involved!! He has the audacity to have a pop at Pedersen! This is a man who was prepared to put every other riders lives at risk by riding under the influence. He also mocks Nicki blocking him. Well Darcy blocked me and many others when we dared to criticise him what a hypocrite! Well done Darcy showing what you are! I hope BWitcher we dont fall out over differing agreements on this one as ive not been abusive
-
I 100% look forward to him racing again However he clearly is not a nice person and as everybody blatantly saw he just has no remorse and im guessing there will be more issues in the troubled life of someone so talented. Clearly as a Poole fan you must see Magic as the better rider and so much more profesional

havent been on here for 3 weeks so just voicing my opinion

To be frank im bored of Darcy Ward now. The kid clearly has issues and is no nearer to becoming a grown up. The interview on sky was the ideal opportunity to apologise to the speedway world , not just his sycophant cronies, but instead he didnt even bother. When asked if he felt it was his last chance he said no!. What else can he do that he thinks he can get away with? His role call: May 2012: Hotel Room Oct 2012: Fight Feb 13: Under the influence Aug 14: Latvia So how many chances does he get as a human being? In his lets be honest small little head he feels he isnt in last chance saloon. As a human being he is scraping the barrel. Natural talent on a bike yet chooses not to bother to achieve. Needs to take a good look at what Tai has done in his career. Woffinden is now light years ahead of Ward

Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 17/6/15
Gavan replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Garrity is reckless as he over rides which sometimes causes him to fall and other times puts other riders on the deck. Newman is far more in control of his machine but lets just say he has previous for being a little bit naughty at times. Around Poole he could outscore Garrity But as for who is the better rider with the most potential thats clearly Garrity -
After having a small sabbatical from the forum this is how i see this meeting. The fact is the meeting should never have started. The track and weather were in bad shape before a wheel was turned with the promise it was only going to get worse. Lets be honest Sky forced the meeting to go ahead. Once it had started it was quite clear by heat 7 it had to be called off. However yet again because we are on tv it carrys on. Coventry should have been protesting at that point. By the end of heat 8 it 100% needed to be cancelled. It was quite clear that the official refused a track inspection when it needed to be done. He then agreed to a track inspection after heat 9 which he failed to do. So who is to blame? No way are Coventry to blame and i wholly agree with them making a stand for heat 10. No way are Poole to blame. They got out there and rode and did what any other team would have done. I cant stand Ford, Middlo is a fool and a couple of their fans on here are not exactly clever , but they did nothing wrong here unlike the Belle Vue fiasco. The blame lies with Sky and the officials. The match should possibly have been called off before the start, probably been called off after 8 and most definatly after heat 9.
-
Im just wondering why the meeting wasn't abandoned as the track was far worse than Warsaw that produced overtaking? Was the starting mechanism fine? Or am I being cynical?? What a farce of a series
-
lol yes you have you called someone a liar with no facts to back it up then when it's evident said person is proved to NOT be a liar you don't have the decency to apologise. You are I'm afraid quite a sad little petty individual with no gumption or backbone
-
Starman you tool give it a rest your pathetic and childish, I apologised to you once when I accused you of not congratulating a team that had beat Poole when you had done. You can't do the same to all the people you have had a go at over this and got it badly wrong. It takes a man to admit he is wrong and you buddy are no man
-
Absolutly spot on. Maybe Middlo and Ford were lied to by Darcy though. Fact remains that anyone who defended Darcy Ward is now made to look quite daft.........and that is the fault of only one person Darcy Ward

my first british final was 1990 and correct Loram and Louis were not ready then but go forward a couple of years and they were along with the Tatums and Havelocks. Louis was world number in 1993 and Havvy obviously world champ in 92. Smith and Screen were also in world finals and Loram after injury in 93 made it in 1994. Let's not forget that in the early 90's Paul Thorp was also riding at a top level. My point is that the pool of riders we have now is far removed from back then and even the early90's wasn't the golden era for British riders
-
you are that biased against Glasgow you can't see a simple decision! Bates was the cause of the stoppage quite clearly yet you seem to be the only person on here who blames Konopka!
-
Sorry but to me the squad is poor. Yes we have Tai and Bomber and a hot prospect in Lambert but the depths we have to go to now to get a squad is shocking compared to the Danes or the Poles. I remember the days of Loram Havelock Screen Louis Doncaster Smith Cross Tatum Wigg all in the same British Finals and pick any of those 4 and what a force in a team event. And before that, before my time, the likes of Lee Carter Morton Pc and the like. British Speedway was thriving. Now the Worrall brothers and Garrity are decent enough riders but discussing if they should be in a GB squad shows how far the standard of GB riders and has dropped and i dont mean that disrespectfully to those mentioned
-
Starman telling someone else to zip up ........oh the irony. Its simple Ward should never be given a permanant wildcard and not be granted a free ride into next years series. He should be made to qualify and lets face it he should be good enough to get through the qualifiers

Speedway World Cup Team Gb Squad
Gavan replied to Gavan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
sorry but i find these comments pathetic. Tai Woffinden is a credit to British Speedway. Stop all the crap about being from oz he wears the Union Jack and has done good things for British Speedway. If you care to look at the facts he is contracted to his Polish club to perform certain duties for them over the weekend. If he fails to do that he is in breach of his contract and in danger of a big fine or expulsion from his club. The best pairs is NOT an fim event so he isnt legally contracted to ride. What would you do in his position?? Get off the guys back we have a British World Champion in 2013 and all people want to do is knock him. The issue is why we have Schlein riding. Well done to Tai for not riding tonight and actually doing the right thing
