  1. And that yet again proves why the premier is head and shoulders above the elite league. Wish sky would take more note and show more meetings. Starman is a Poole fan people they often go missing when they lose!
  2. and along comes the troll right on cue. neither team are cheats so best you dont comment.
  3. Cook is head and shoulders the top rider in the premier league but it seems he is happy in the premier and his career has stalled somewhat. For the record those of you saying he doesnt roll at the starts try not to be blinkered and admit he does it a lot. Why do some fans defend their own team to the hilt when the whole speedway world can see what he does. At Ipswich we have Rohan Tungate who regularly rolls at the start and it drives us all barmy. Obviously some Monarchs fans dont mind a bit of cheating now and then!
  4. Not sure Chris ever rode at 7 for Ipswich only Hackney No Garrard, No Rasmussen No Steve Bryenton!! Anyone remember Kerry Gray?
  5. wasnt your top 2 that won you the league as they maintained their average not increased it. Sedgeman and Worrall going up by about 6 in total and then the improvemant from Fricke won you the league
  6. The expected result unfortunatly. Well done Cam , Adam and Richie W. Think Tungates time is up as a Witch. He would be better off riding at 2 or in the elite next year. get Danny King in!
  7. well where to start after a shcoking display from the majority of our boys. The fact that Cook cheats time and again and gets away with it has no bearing on the score as even if he was chucked out of a few races we still wouldnt have got close. The decision to exclude Worrall in 13 was a joke as well. However awful the ref was had no bearing on the final score. Tungate - dont want him back on that average Heeps - keep him Risager - not bad 3rd heat leader but will stay as is 'family' Manzares - has to stay Worrall - would keep him Hawkins - keep Ellis - possibly I think we need a Danny King to spearhead us and possibly can see Lanham back maybe at reserve on a low average
  8. Fingers crossed this goes ahead im coming up tonight. Can see us nicking this by 10
  9. why another swede then? its politics that's all. Kildemand is a far better rider than THJ but unfortunately he is the wrong nationality, its a bit of a joke
  10. Absolutly correct. Thers should be some sort of system where the riders from say 9-12 go into the challenge. I know now that they can still go through the qualifiers but i think the fact that because Freddie Lindgren is world number 10 shouldnt just exclude him straightaway. If you have done enough to be in the top 12 in the world then why should you still have to do lots of meeetings on top of the gp to qualify for the next season. Personally i would have the challenge after the last gp and i would include Batchelor, Lindgren, Smolinski and Bjerre in the challenge and see them fight for a place. If people are good enough to be in ahead of them then they will prove their worth in the challenge
  11. These good tracks bad track debates are a tad tedious. You will get good racing at any track if prepared properly and the teams are even simple really. People rave on about Peterborough but ive been there tonnes of times when the home side are so much better than the away team its all from the gate. Somerset has more racing lines than my club Ipswich but we got thrashed there in a boring meeting. people get delude by fast racing means good racing - it doesnt. nothing was better than watching Loram hunt people down at Lakeside and pass with great throttle control, something Darcy has emulated there when ive seen him. Give me that skill rather than just flat out
  12. Why? Do you think riders will read this forum and then not bother because people are saying they might not be here next year? If they take on board what the fans on here think then they are a tad weak skinned. Different story if one of the management start making noises but fans on here shouldnt affect any rider in the cup final
  13. If we dont keep Worrall , Gino , Heeps and Hawkins we must be crazy. I also think Risager will stay due to the family connection. Tungates time is up and i reckon he will end up elite league next year. We need another big hitter up top. I would like to see Olly Allen though cant imagine it will happen and yes King is more likely. 2 newbies at reserve in my eyes. Who does Sarjeant ride for?
  14. stop talking rubbish. Iversen and Kildemand will be in. I'm guessing THJ over Lindgren leaves one other. If not Ward then who? Batchelor finished just outside the top 8 so surely is one if the obvious choices to get one!
  15. Now the top 8 is done and dusted I'm going for the following wild cards. Iversen, Kildemand, Batchelor, Jonasson. In my mind the first 2 are certainties. Think we will have another Aussie as the gp is going there next year. Shouldn't be Ward so Batchelor might get in. They will probably want 2 Swedes and although Lindgren has proved up to the level I reckon they will give Jonasson a go.
  16. wasnt exactly far out on my prediction. Not a track that suits our boys
  17. Im with Super blue i think we will be lucky to get anywhere near 40. gon on lads will be happy to eat humble pie
  18. being honest they wont . Worrall, Tungate, Risager all what i would class white line riders. Gino, Heeps and Hawkins will try but still cant see anything but a thumping 55-35
  19. One of our worst tracks so my heart says we can do it but my head says we will get thrashed
  20. WOFFINDEN ZAGAR JONSSON MIEDZINSKI 30 pts Jonsson top 8
  21. the top 4 you quoted are better but your top 3 either don't want to ride or should be banned. Your talking out if your arse regarding the other 3
  22. Yes he was but both in Denmark! In the first 4 gp's Lindgren made 2 finals and a semi. Im not saying Kildemand shouldnt be in but only because it will be a fresh change. My ideal 15 (wildcard every round) would be Hancock Woffinden Kasprzak N.Pedersen Holder Zagar Hampel Jonsson Ward Sayfutdinov Iversen Lindgren G.Laguta Kildemand Janowski That in my eyes are the top 15 riders in the world but we will never see a line up like that unfortunatly Emil and Laguta wont ride and Ward should be banned
  23. And just looking at the results Freddie has made 6 semi finals out of 11 gp's and 2 finals. That to me is a rider who although not a title challenger is able to hold his own and compete at this level. I dont think a Kildemand or a Jonasson would fair any better
  24. sorry is this the AJ who has just won a gp? is this the Lindgren who is among the top 12 in the world every year? They are not awful riders they are world class just probably not up to being in the top 3 . Whatever line up you have you will have riders who will make almost all the semis as a rule like your Tai's Gregs Iversens You will then have those that make more semis then not like Hampel AJ Lindgren Holder Then you those that will miss more than they make like Smolinski Btachelor and Harris This will never change irrelevent of the line up. There is almost 3 tiers of riders and AJ and Lindgren in my view will always be somehere from 7-12 in the series. I agree sometimes new blood is fine but i want the best riders possible and if you can honestly say that Jonasson or Kildemand will do better than AJ and Lindgren then i disagree. Jonasson and Kildemand will be better than the Smolinski's and Harris. If you want no AJ or Freddie its only because of new blood not because they arent good enough
  25. Well if you believe that is sufficient then that is just crazy
