Gosh there is some guff written about tracks. Truly top class riders can ride anywhere - fact. they might not like it but they ride it. There are tracks that have more home track advantage as they are not totally conventional. However i firmly believe it is down to the class of rider that makes the home track adavantage seem much more at some places. Tai Woffinden although brilliant round Wolves would after a few meetings be brilliant around any home track Someone like Buckzowski wouldnt ever be as good at Lakeside or Eastbourne as he is at Peterborough Mark Loram - someone you would class as a flat out true racer hated the Peterborough track but loved Eastbourne and Lakeside because they posed a greater challenge for him. We are obsessed in this country with speed = good racing. It doesnt. 2 evenly matched teams on a track with dirt on provides great racing. Peterborough is the best race track in the country without question but the meeting on sky against Lakeside was boring as it was so one sided. Put Peterborough v Swindon on it would probably be a cracker. Ive also seen some great meetings at Lakeside Lakeside Eastbourne and Peterborough are tracks notorious for having 'track specialists'

i stand corrected. but he retired from gp racing that year. im sure he would have had a wildcard if he was to have continued

i understand your views but Leigh Adams never finished outside the top 8 from 1999 to 2008 when he retired from gp racing altogether after finishing 6th i believe in 2008

very very talented i agree but..... Michael Lee Mark Loram Jan O Pedersen Tony Rickardsson are 4 i would say were more natural or on a par with Ward. Can Darcy emulate those 4 and be a world champion? Or is he destined to be like a Kelly Moran? All the natural ability in the world 4th on his debut world final but due partly to his poor attitude never achieved what he should have.

For those to say Ward cant win the world title unless he gates well look at Mark Loram. Problem with Ward will be the same its his attitude and the fact that he looks like he is always due to crash - a fact that stopped him from possibly being on the rostrum this year

Nope Bjerre and Hougaard maybe even North should be in instead of Holder and Ward!

is this the same Lindgren that has been in the top of the elite league averages for a number of years? A gp regular for years and a gp winner? Jonasson is an elite league second string just come from reserve

Lindgren will probably get a pick as he will maybe be 9th/10th and hasnt really been 100% fit at certain times. Jonasson isnt a gp rider at all. Janowski is a possible. MJJ doesnt deserve a gp slot. A lot will depend on the challenge but Holder will obviously get 1. Can see the other 3 being Lindgren, Laguta, Janowski/Dudek depending on the challenge result. There isnt a Brit who deserves a full time wildcard. If Ward stays on his bike he will make top 8 if not then he obviously will need a wildcard. Gollobs heart isnt in it thats obvious and i would like to see this legend retire gracefully rather then not give a stuff

Somebody maybe Holder needs to get hold of Ward and make him realise what he could throw away. Arrogant that he didn't need to do what Tai is doing. Take a good look Darcy because you may never reach his level on the world championship if you think all you need to do is turn up and ride

Good luck Glasgow having this ego riding for you! Nothing against Glasgow like the club and fans but you will soon see what you have signed. A gating tart who thinks he is better than he really is and can't pass a premier league 3 pointer. As I say hope he does well for you guys you deserve success but read his twitter as well the guy is a plank. Didn't want to ride premier league thought he was to good and now can't even get out of the reserve spot in the elites bottom club.

nope you are wrong! both got fined for the fracas in the pits. Cook got thrown out for ungentlemanly conduct and violent conduct in the meeting with the ref where he basically kicked and hit any inanimate object around destroying the place! Violent conduct doesnt have to be towards a human being

As an Ippo fan we all know Barker winds people up but when other riders like North resort to deliberately fencing a rider then gloating about it it's gone to far. Cook was thrown out for behaving like a spoilt brat in the refs box! All because he lost his team gb spot to Barker he decides to go for him! Needs a quick lesson in growing up! If anyone can please tell me what Ben has done wrong here other than take his gb spot then I would love to hear it lots of this started due to North so keep your own riders in check! Nice to see you condone violence though
