tai has to go unfortunatly -
there was 1 line last night which is why cookie moved out to the dirt! if you watched closely the riders off the inside were pointing there bikes outwards off the line. you couldnt stay on the inside a la heat 15 because you would just get passed! im not arguing more positives than negatives but by some peoples reaction you would think it was miles ahead of anything we had seen already in the elite league and it wasnt. Ashley Birks looked brilliant when gating and couldnt pass later on because he stuck inside. ditto David Howe. Aarnio and Palm Toft would never have won there races unless they were off 4. it was an average meeting but yes better than monday. ive said dyer was unlucky to be excluded but he did lock up a bit and turn left that is obvious from the replays. if someone parks it on the corner and gets hit do you exclude the following rider for not moving or the guy who stops in the corner? in my opinion Dyer didnt park it to much or turn appreciably left to be excluded and i would in this case excluded Howe. However i can see why the ref made his decision. Rene Bach cost Workington last night not heat 15

				Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
Gavan replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
if im being 100% honest phil i think it almost is these days. If say Kennett wins it yes he will like being champion but i bet he is more gutted to be missing cardiff. The only reason i said Scott should boycott it is because has has won it a record amount of times -
we have all been over the place watching the sport. my point is that we could have peterborough on sky next week and it could be boring as hell. the coventry meeting was poor because coventry didnt turn up. think people are going overboard about last nights meeting and im a huge premier league fan. the kings lynn v poole meeting was just as good
 -
rubbish!! ive seen good and bad meetings at all sorts of tracks. your 1 of these people who believe fast tracks equals good racing - it doesnt!! ive been to peterborough where they have thrashed sides and all that happened was the peterborough riders trapped and went! boring racing. watch someone like Loram PK and the like on the technical tracks actually line someone up throw them a dummy and get there wheels in line and pass. far more skilful than someone just blasting round the boards. and yes i have seen good meetings at peterborough as well. my point is that good racing can happen on any track premier or elite. if you just want to see peterborough, kings lynn, sheffield and Scunthorpe then you are not really a fan of the sport are you

				Chris Harris Cardiff Wild Card
Gavan replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
firstly this isnt Chris Harris fault so those abusing how he has done in the series and all that should lay off of him. secondly it is hugely the wrong decision! i can see why they done it with him being a previous winner at Cardiff and being honest he would probably be more competitive than any other Brit apart obviously from Tai. Nicholls and Harris are slowly in decline think that is obvious and riders like Kennett and King and possibly Cook and Auty have seen there chance taken away from then. If i was Nicholls with 7 titles already i would just not bother riding and stick 2 fingers up to the authorities. He has won it 7 times so deserves, out of form or not, the chance to ride at Cardiff. Disgraceful -
it is a good track yes but why do people insist that a fast track must be good racing!!! basically if you were off gate 4 and in the dirt that was it!! best racer we have ever seen in my opinion is Mark Loram and to watch him ride eastbourne and wolves was a joy to behold. lets get away from fast tracks make good racing!
 -
did you watch the meeting? wasnt a classic was it? gate 4 was a huge advantage. if you think exciting speedway is going out in the dirt from the start and going quick then thats up to you. only 1 line on the track which was totally proved time and again. even the commentators and Tai were telling riders to go out wide! My team are in the premier league but good meetings can happen on ANY track premier or elite. Point proved in heat 15 saying great ride by Cook. He didnt have to do anything as Howe bottled it around the kerb. Take your fast track blinkers off!! last nights as better because only 1 team turned up on Monday! you need 2 good teams to make a good meeting simple as. i thought the scunny match was processional in places to well both Rosco and Tai whose opinion i value far more than yours said Dyer was more at fault so to call the ref is a disgrace is a bit of a joke. this is the same ref who should have excluded Holder in the last gp but didnt. Bet he wasnt a disgrace then was he with your beloved pirate. I thought Dyer was unlucky to be excluded but the ref isnt a disgrace

i wasnt digging him out. he has been fantastic and he will have bad meetings. But on the pace or not any rider that scores zero has had a bad night. Im not worried in the slightest about Adam -

lets look at the facts. we got stuffed!! Barker aside it was woeful and yes Adam has been fantastic but he had a poor meeting on a track he hadnt seen. the 1 rider who needs to go is Risager basically he is so poor its untrue. wouldnt have saved us last night but he needs to go. Personally we have done ok so far as we at last have a good number 1 and 2 reserves -

really lol your knowledge is limited heat 3 looks tasty! -
i was there im an ipswich fan that track was rideable - maybe not raceable seen racing at foxhall many times in a lot worse conditions over the years. personally it should have gone ahead. people will say we wouldnt have got great racing and their right but that isnt the point. if that was a sky meeting it would have ran simple.

not really talking about Holder. up to Ward he could be remembered for a multi world champion or piss it away. if he wants to enjoy the high life then i would rather someone dedicated to our sport be world champion -

Moran brothers are legends of our sport. They were characters and yes fantastic riders. Could you also clarify if they won as much as they should have done? Kelly had tremendous ability on a bike so much natural talent. Burst onto the scene in 1979 world final finishing 4th. He then undoubtedly enjoyed the limelight the odd beer, bit of trouble here and there and never finished higher than 4th again. I remember the Brighton bonanza a few years back when Kelly was the star. He was hungover half drunk couldnt even gate or stay on his bike and in the bar afterwards was legless. i remembred thinking then what a waste of a career and what could have been. RIP. Shawn was also a great rider but not as gifted in my opinion as Kelly. Ok lets let Darcy carry on the way he is and see if he wins what he should have done. could be a very good comparison to Kelly Moran. Again true winners, true pros, Nielsen, Gundersen, Rickardsson, Loram just dont do these sort of things when the 'race face' is on. -
