Ipswich Witches vs Oxford Spires Thursday 7th August
Gavan replied to ShanoXtra's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You are a strange one … Superheat decider Bewley clears off and leaves his team mate last Heat 6 of a league match and Doyle moves Kildemand over to let Ellis through The 2 instances are so so different it’s laughable from yourself And then you make yourself look even more stupid by talking about league titles ….you have lost the debate when you change the subject to another matter -

There has always been big fast tracks and always been smaller technical tracks throughout the life of the sport You can’t just expect the technical tracks to suddenly become these amazing fast tracks with many different lines and overtaking a plenty The bikes are more advanced now and the skill set of the riders on these machines means that many can only handle the big tracks and some meetings get ruined because of this Smaller tracks can provide great meetings … go watch Eastbourne v Poole 1999 on you tube The sport isn’t dying because of the tracks it’s much deeper than that -

You say the sport has evolved but some tracks have been around for years and some are new Foxhall has been Ipswich’s home for decades so please enlighten me how they can make it into a better track they can only work with what they have How long have we had Belle Vue , Glasgow and Workington tracks? Answer is not long they have all been purpose built and to a good standard Some of these great fast tracks have closed like Peterborough and Bradford Kings Lynn and Poole used to be good tracks but it shows you how the sport has declined as those clubs dont give a damn about their tracks , Poole in particular Ipswich each winter have made track changes and we have seen better racing then previous years….. tonight it’s the track prep that’s the issue -

Hardly any riders team ride these days But when your team needs a 2nd and 3rd to win a match do you not think it’s a tad foolish to just race off into the distance? You are allowed to criticise your own team when they mess up … the riders make mistakes all the time and Bewley absolutely did -

Poole is the worst track in the country that’s not up for debate But tonight our track is awful the guys are not happy -

Hahahaha Well you win the award for the most stupid comment of the evening Doyle looked back on the back straight saw Ellis in second Bewley needed to help his team mate to win the match!! Nice try trying to compare the two but totally different scenarios Oh and many Belle Vue fans criticised Bewley as well -

Track hugely catching out the home team -
Wow you do write so much garbage Klindt loves the Poole track … 10 from 4 and 12 from 5 last season Nicholls scored 6 from 5 in the cup final but loves Poole lol Decent win??? By 6?? Against a team with 2 weak reserves and getting an injured heat leader during the meeting after 1 ride to be replaced by average reserves Poole are struggling … Glasgow and Redcar must be licking their lips …. Glasgow to finish top and Poole to face Redcar in the semis
-
??
-
Well done Plymouth … best reserve missing and only really 2 riders What is wrong at Poole ?
-
Poole struggling again it seems to put away a side at home The loss of Barker hasn’t helped and the reserves are poor so basically a two man Plymouth team keeping it close which is amazing Poole are out of form maybe they can find it come the play offs

How? Ifs buts and maybes Lidsey has scored 5 and 10 v Ipswich this season When he scored 5 Ellis King and Thompson all beat him …. There was no guarantee what Lidsey would do…. He may have had an engine failure in heat 12 turning a 3-3 into a 5-1 to Ipswich you don’t know Simply Kurtz and Bewley had 6 rides which definitely helped Reminds me of daft football fans who when the game is 1-1 see their team get a disallowed goal but then score another and win 2-1 and they say ‘if the goal wasn’t disallowed we would have won 3-1….. no you wouldn’t because the ball would have gone back to the centre circle and the game would have been played differently No saying what Lidsey would / should have scored
-
You don’t like follow the leader races? When Dan T beat Kurtz was that not a good race to watch? When Doyle cleverly kept Kurtz behind him was that not a good race either? Or do they only become good races if Kurtz would have got through? Heat 14 was a case in point with Zach getting through on the last corner … wasn’t a good race until the last corner but need you will be saying it was a better race than the superheat…. You don’t always need overtaking to make a good race

Super Heat - Why its not right!!
Gavan replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This will sound daft after last night but a superheat the vast majority of the time will favour the home team thus making the away teams riders get nothing for their efforts all night Especially worse on an aggregate score … for example Ipswich could beat Belle Vue by 20 in the home leg…. Then lose by 20 in the away leg yet the ‘superheat’ is held only at one track where the second leg is and huge home advantage … this is not a pop at Belle Vue because the first leg could be at Belle Vue and then Ipswich get a superheat at Foxhall where Doyle and Emil are clear favourites in the second leg 90-90 over 30 heats and yet one race decides on who goes to the final at the HOME teams track feels wrong I don’t know the answer … you could say race wins but that would stop team riding Maybe match races by this I mean 7 more heats 1v1 against your opposing number and one team would get 4 wins I don’t know I read what I wrote and that seems silly a bit lol Anyone think of any ideas -
Super Heat - Why its not right!!

It’s a silly concept … Ipswich deserved a draw last night and so did Belle Vue for battling back -
Love watching Bewley fly around the NSS but surely somewhere in the Belle Vue camp there was a mix up or lack of information After heat 15 Bewley clearly thought the meeting was over … was he not aware of the score? Then in the superheat Bewley just cleared off … not once did he look back to see if Kurtz was there …. He could have slowed up and even if Emil got past he could have helped Kurtz with Doyle … was he unaware of the scoring system? Also think Belle Vue got the gates wrong in heat 15… Kurtz wasn’t gating that well and to put him off gate 3 which was the worst gate was a mistake I think
-
I agree Doyle isn’t what he was but what a rider he has been for us at Ipswich and he has given everything to British speedway as well …. Other fans might not like him but he has rode over here every season and never given anything less than 110% And chances are if he hadn’t have been injured and missed GP’s and rode injured he would probably be in about 8th place in the GP right now so that’s not to be sniffed at He just doesnt have the speed at the moment on big fast tracks
-
Dan T proved by beating Kurtz that if you go wide and keep your speed it’s difficult to pass Your track is the best in the Uk and the odd race last night showed that namely heat 13 Ultimately your team at the bottom is too weak ….. Zach Cook was flying at home but when he comes to Foxhall he struggles as do the bottom 3. I still think Kurtz is an issue for you guys he wasn’t himself last night maybe he is holding back a bit and you can’t blame him Kurtz from earlier in the season would have passed Dan T and Doyle I think Having said that Doyle knew exactly where to put his bike in the super heat …
