  1. I loved Ipswich racing in the lower league but it’s foolish to say that Premier teams are the same level as championship teams Ipswich largely expected to be cannon fodder this season have 3 championship number ones as heat leaders in Harris , Lawson and King. At reserve we have 2 championship heat leaders The current Ipswich 1-7 would win easily against a championship side
  2. Poole are one of the teams I fear at our place due to the riders they have that go well at Foxhall.... and with Scott and Tobi in I believe Poole could win this. Wolves would be another side that I tho k will do well at Foxhall ..... Schlein , Masters, Nicholls and Morris all go well at Foxhall
  3. Yes Brady is a better rider but not sure he suits Foxhall Klindt would do ok Nicholls and Musi make Poole stronger and with Covatti and Worrall along with Josh you have 3 riders who go well at our place Fancy Poole to win this and we can concentrate on being top of the league
  4. I totally get what you are saying Nicholls at home scoring 11+2, 9+2, 12+1 and 9+2....are scores from the number 3 position that Thorsell would be expected to score. Away though Scott has 13+1 and 9+1 and sometimes its away form that counts Having said that i agree that if Scott moved to number one he may struggle to replicate those scores where (especially at home) Jacob would score more. Scott currently avoids the generally harder heat 13...his 4th ride at the moment is against the opposition numbers 3 and 6 ...easier than facing the opponents 1 and 5 I would also say Scott is outscoring what Morris would have done (my opinion of course)
  5. Us at Ipswich dont have a number one , i would say Harris and Hans are similar profile riders. We just have riders that are solid in the middle order, riders who are top riders in the lower league like Lawson and King , and backed up by KP and Bellego Plus at reserve Allen is flying
  6. With the guests quite clearly improving Poole ( Brady hasnt scored more than 6 in his last 3 matches at Foxhall in league matches and Klindt got 8 last season in the lower league when he was directly up against Scott who got 12 + 1) this should be closer than i thought it might be You have Nicholls a track expert likely to score more than Klindt would have and now Tobi who got 3 wins from 5 rides at Foxhall (including and unfortunate last place) and only a man with blinkered vision would believe Poole were weaker. Add in Worrall and Covatti and this could be a troublesome meeting for the team that are currently top of the table and the team that currently set the benchmark for a team like Poole to attain. Poole will no doubt be looking to keep it close so that they may have some hope in the league match, though with their own riders returning instead of a 'horses for courses' approach to this meeting, it may be tougher than what this meeting will be. As we all know the early stages of a league can mean nothing come play off time when i would expect Poole to have strengthened by the time the season comes to the business end rather than at the moment just being a side that would be hopeful of squeezing into the top 4
  7. So if a side that was expected to do well like Poole or Swindon win by 2-3 then surely if Ipswich , who many said would be cannon fodder, come and win very easily by 12 you cant see that as impressive......maybe if a team win by 20+?
  8. Wolves have a replacement for Morris who is probably in my opinion doing as well as Morris would have done
  9. Thats the good news about our side is that if Jake and Cam move to 2 and 4 we will still have 2 of King , KP, Harris and Bellego at reserve who should be able to do what Heeps and Allen have done....
  10. I understand your frustration that your side isnt very good but how you cant say Ipswich wasnt impressive is just sour grapes We were widely tipped to to be bottom and are top and we are top and deservedly so.......
  11. Poole now stronger and with Covatti and Worrall knowing the quickest way round Foxhall im expecting it very close Im not worried about this meeting to much though it would be nice to keep the momentum going before the league match v Wolves
  12. Awww bless you.....why would it be the misfortune of others. Only injuries can scupper a side and the only team really missing a rider is Swindon with Doyle and they won the only match he was missing in. Ipswich were written off at the start of the season but yet we sit proudly at the top of the league as the only side who have had an away win....we are there on merit not due to others misfortune
  13. Thought the meeting was ok but you arent going to get great racing at times when there is a gulf between the teams. Usa had only 1 rider really mixing it (and how good was young Becker by the way). The finns also only really had Aarnio at times involved and the Latvians Lebedev Tai looked imperious when he sorted his set up out and Lambert loves Belle Vue. Cook did nothing wrong but i feel although he has ridden for Belle Vue that he doesnt always ride the right lines around there...just my opinion Madsen looked super quick once he got going as well I believe its between us and the Swedes, Poles and Russians Never thought i would say this but im not to worried about Emil , more so Laguta who i think could be a serious World title contender this season if he takes another step forward
  14. Richie would be my worry but next week he is at our place and he normally goes well at Foxhall You need to give riders time but im merely pointing out those who are struggling. At Ipswich we never get the top 5 going well together......Harris will be good when King is poor and vice versa. We will give riders like King and Bellego time i believe
  15. You have a very weird chip on your shoulder We was talking about last nights meeting Has Worrall been poor? Do you think Covatti should be doing better? Were Ipswich unlucky? These are debating points but you seem to have your own strange agenda Didn’t see you comment when I said that Kurtz looked like he had turned a corner .... or when I said Holder was getting better.... or when I said Klindt had done well so far this season or when I congratulated Poole on the comeback at Belle Vue You are very strange at times I now must remember when commenting on a Poole meeting that I must say all the positive aspects first before highlighting anything else I was at Ipswich the other and was moaning how bad Harris was.... funnily enough no other fan had a go at me for not mentioning how good Bellego and Lawson were in the same meetimg Some funny folk down Dorset way
  16. I got banned for calling someone a numpty....depends on who you are i guess
  17. Why are my opinions rubbish? Poole track is poor Ipswich were unlucky throwing away scoring positions The speedway updates feed was poor Richie Worrall is the weak link for Poole I think Covatti could be doing better as well If your to precious to accept any kind of comment about your team thats not my issue. I have may good debates on here with many Poole fans We all know what Shovlar is And a Poole fan gave it back to me lol........blaming the update feed on riders wearing the same kevlars is comical...........i paid my first visit to Ipswich on Monday and although they wore the same kevlars its pretty obvious who is who and its very unprofessional that Poole dont have them and even Josh looked like he was racing for us.
  18. Yes they are awful at decision making But we would have won if our riders didnt fall off and Bombers engine held out Poole riders obviously have difficulties at home on that awful track.
  19. I predicted that the current Poole 1-7 might scrape 4th and i said Ipswich wouldnt be bottom The league looks quite unpredictable to me. Poole arent very good at home perhaps the riders prefer riding away as the tracks are much better...................i would certainly expect Poole to run us very close at Foxhall next week......Worrall and Josh G and Klindt go well at our place and Jakobsen has been ok in a couple of visits and then of course Nico at reserve I still stand by the opinion that Swindon will win the league.......best top 3 and a very strong second string in Ellis and Lampart is finding his feet......Zach will get better and then if they can either get Shanes going or get a number 7 that might get 3 or 4 then they are strong favourites for me
  20. Bit of a shame we couldn’t get the win against an average looking Poole side but we threw so many points away when in big scoring positions so let’s look at the positives Good to see Harris on the pace still don’t know why Poole let him go Poole need to let Worrall go but I’m not allowed that opinion and Covatti needs to up his game
