  1. Can’t see Poole throwing his meeting away should be fairly comfortable
  2. Will be happy with a 10 point win Cant see Lambert being as poor as last time and Riss always goes well at our place
  3. Belle Vue weakened by the loss of Berge being replaced by a lower league reserve up against two championship heat leaders in Covatti and Jakobsen.......Poole by 12-15 now
  4. Ipswich quite probably have the best reserves in the league Poole have possibly the second best Ipswich although strong at home are losing away even though the reserves are doing well .....19 point at Kings Lynn yet we lost by 14......14 points at Swindon.......yet we lost by 12........19 points at Wolves yet we lost by 10 Swindon away from home have lost by 2 points .....won easily at Poole by 16.....lost by 6 and lost by 4 taking points in EVERY away match.....The reserves in those 4 matches have totalled only 14 points Please enlighten me how teams with scoring reserves do better...............you surely have some stats to back your claim.
  5. Swindon have by far the best top 3 but Lynn in Lambert have the one rider who could take points off of all them consistently If Swindons top 3 can be restricted to 30 then it will be close
  6. As i said i stand corrected if they hadnt rode there before
  7. On paper it should be a comfortable win for the home side Fricke will probably go ok Worrall can blow hot and cold at Poole Bjerre didnt score at all well on his last visit Bewley has struggled at Poole in the past and is still feeling his way And i dont think Wells , Berge and certainly Lidsey have ridden there before ( i may be wrong) This should on paper be a 10 point win for the home team and the reserves should run riot
  8. We started going to Hackney on Friday nights in the mid 1980's We used to stand leaning against the pit wall ....then my uncle used to sponsor Mark Loram giving him a little bit of cash each Friday night when Mark was the mascot 1986 i believe
  9. Cant see to many teams getting to much from Wolves....would love to steal a point though
  10. I dont get where you are coming from I think Ipswich will beat most teams comfortably at home due to our reserves. We beat Belle Vue by 14 and Swindon by 6........you telling me you dont rate Belle Vue as well? Or are Poole the only team that exist I will tell you what will happen when Swindon go to Monmore.........Lampart will score 0.......The reserves will be outscored by 14-3......Doyle will not win a race....Swindon will lose by only 2 points..... Would be nice if you done just a smidge of research before making yourself look daft. You dont rate Swindon......who lost by 2 points at Wolves and 6 at Ipswich.................yet smashed Poole out of sight at Wimborne Road.....in a meeting you say 'doesnt count'............. So.......Swindon wont win the league......which mean that on current form neither can Belle Vue or Wolves , based on results against Ipswich and Swindon So who is the best side at the moment.....i would love to know your thought process
  11. A blip due to the track lol......in one breath you go on about how good Poole were to draw at Swindon.... a track nobody had raced on.....then you say Poole getting beat at home was down to the Poole track lol.....the gift that keeps on giving Poole were awful at the start of last season and had to make a dozen changes to win the league. Im not sure if this Poole 1-7 is worse....cant be much in it Brave man betting your team make the play offs when 4 out of 7 will So far early season form shows Swindon as the team to beat followed closely by Wolves and Belle Vue.......Ipswich and Kings Lynn battling for 4th and at the moment Peterborough and Poole are also rans
  12. In both matches v Swindon the Poole reserves outscored Swindons by 12 points to 2 and then by 12 points to 5 and then didnt win either meeting so it isnt reserves that win meetings at all its the all round strength of the team At Kings Lynn , Ipswich reserves outscored Kings Lynn by 19 points to 11 and lost the meeting by 14 points....
  13. If all teams keep the same line ups then in my opinion Swindon will win the league. The top 3 will score more than enough to cover the rest most of the time. Cant read to much into the Swindon v Poole meeting as no riders knew the track........and Swindon had the bad luck in that meeting as well...... Swindon soon made light work of the Poole side in the return Swindon have rode 5 matches and their heat leaders have scored 35,33,41,30,,32 As you can see from that they dont need much from the other 4 to win a meeting and in most cases Ellis is always good for 6. In the match where the heat leaders scored 30, Lampart and Ellis scored 18 between them Look at Poole and Ipswich heat leaders in comparison 23,17,31,21,24 for Poole 29,14,23,18,19 for Ipswich Both Poole and Ipswich reliant on reserves doing well and if they dont the team will always be beaten It just happens that Ipswich reserves are flying 17,19,17,14,20........and like last night v Swindon we have reserves scoring 20 and still only win by 6. Poole are struggling because they have built strength in depth but unlike Ipswich their reserves havent been as good 13,13,7,12,9............if you build strength in depth you need the reserves to pop up with 15 plus Swindon will win most meetings and keep most away meetings close which is the recipe to win the league. Only Belle Vue and Wolves look like troubling them Dogfight for 4th between Ipswich and Lynn with Poole and Peterborough looking also rans..........but rider changes can make a difference
  14. Gert Handberg over Lance King? Oops sorry just seen you put 1980's
  15. 8 points from Swindons reserves in most meetings will win them the league Doyle , Batch and Musi will get 30-35 points most meetings if not more so if Swindons reserves get 8 thats 38-43 and then the other 2 riders hardly need to score much. If you build a weak 1-5 like Poole then no, 8 points from your reserves is not enough.........as proved in Pooles home meeting v Swindon. A top heavy side like Swindon will walk the league if the reserves score 8
  16. And for those who might query this.... what’s a turnstyle? Is it one of those gate type things in the country that moves?
  17. Couldn’t keep Doyle to 12 he got 13 lol Musi did well if that was his first visit and Batch was Batch getting roughly what I expected Our reserves will make sure we are tough to beat at home and I make Swindon the favourites as I’ve said just one rider away from it in my opinion Lampart did struggle and so did Zach For us Allen was superb and Heeps and Lawson as well. Harris and Lawson will score that sort of total each week where one of them gets 8 or 9 and the other 10 or 11 Bellego was poor and a very poor score from Danny to cost us a bigger win. KP was ok but needs to be getting 7 at home really Still I’m happy with the way the season is going so far..... 2 of the best two teams have come to Foxhall in Belle Vue and Swindon and left defeated so I wouldn’t be worried when we face the poorer teams like Peterborough and Poole
  18. Yes I talked about Poole because someone quoted my post ..... which had nothing about Poole in it.... and asked me a question about Poole..... You can come onto Ipswich threads it’s an open forum bless you..... and yes if Ipswich are doing poor you can be as negative as you want..... some of you Poole fans are a little bit precious aren’t you.... By the way how is Pooles form and track at the moment??
  19. Nice of you to get personal shows your level Yes I said the Poole 1-7 was rubbish last season before a wheel was turned and I was right..... the fact they won the league didn’t make me look foolish at all. They made a host of changes and won the league fair play to them..... would they have won the league if the kept the original 1-7 .... of course not.... so my claims that the original 1-7 was poor was correct.... in no way was I made to look a twit..... Oh and just so you know I was the one who left and we both have new partners so thanks for your concern
  20. Have a little look over the thread please or are you doing your usual thing of making things up... On the Poole thread Skidder said I hadn’t commented on this thread If you had the intelligence to read this thread you will see I re quoted my prediction on this meeting .... no mention of Poole at all. Then we had that weird little Pinny person piping up ..... read his post he was the one who brought up Poole..... I merely responded to his comments So before you post your utter rubbish I suggest you read the thread properly
  21. Is that Woryna the next big GP out of Poland we were told.....sure at reserve he added points to his average and then once in the main team he was basically average..................see that Poole was so impressed he was the first name on the team sheet this season.......how did MS do? You seem to have an issue actually realising what people were saying. Pooles 1-7 was poor at the start of the season last year.......the mickey was taken out of them because we was told by certain fools among the Poole fans (think people know who they are) that the original Poole 1-7 was the best by a mile and would walk the league............Do you know what? I predicted they would be awful.....i was given abuse on here telling me how thick i was and knew nothing...........well i was right spot on again (bad habit of mine).................the fact that Poole made about a dozen changes and won the league gives nobody the last laugh.. the mickey taking was payback to those saying the 1-7 was amazing and gave me stick and were wrong......sad people a bit like yourself who can dish it out but cant take it back. And guess what i said that Pooles 1-7 this season had issues..........in my opinion Jack and Brady will struggle and i didnt think Worrall would last long......seems im not far away with that either....if Poole make changes and win the league then so be it. Ive said i think Swindon will win the league and Wolves and Belle Vue will be in the play offs and im hoping Ipswich can prove myself and others wrong by grabbing a play off spot. I might be right i might be wrong...or should i say Poole will win the league because you will be upset otherwise
  22. Doyle and Ellis should go well, Doyle used to love Foxhall Batch not so much but i dont think Musi has ever ridden there but he is a class act. Think Lampart will struggle and Zach hasnt been that great in the past and Shanes has done ok If we can limit Doyle to 10-12 points i think we will have enough strength in depth to win this by 10 as i think our reserves can outscore theirs by 10-12 points again 50-40
  23. Wouldnt be to hard with the number of riders from the Eastern block that used to make it From 1980 -1994 which is when i can remember from up until the last world final i would go for...... Petr Ondrasik Michail Starostin Georg Hack Henny Kroeze Sandor Tihanyi If we go away from the Eastern Block then i would say Finn Thomsen Troy Butler Olli Tyrvainen I appreciate that all the above riders were good riders but you asked for a list of the less talented
  24. Id like to think we wouldnt but i can see Lawson and Bellago going for Cook and one other possibly
