  1. The Aussie champs arent usually a guide as i said Tungate always does better in them then he does over here. That said Kurtz and Morris were average in them last season and had poor seasons, and if anything they are both worse this time around. Fricke , a true number one doing great and good to see Chris Holder showing some form. And how good does Lidsey look and he is at reserve for Belle Vue , if he brings a small amount of that form over here will be the signing of the season
  2. I think we will be building a team that will be tough to beat at home but will get smashed on the road a few times. If as expected Lawson is rider number 4 that’s 3 riders who will no doubt be very good at home and with Allen as back up that’s a decent enough four in my opinion it all depends on who backs them up
  3. Morris was riding at 1 and Tungate in the easier position of 4 so I would still say Morris had the better season of the two over here. Tungate never seems to carry his Aussie form over here for whatever reason beating riders like Fricke Kurtz and Holder the majority of the time the last 2 Aussie champs yet all those 3 will be first or second heat leader over here while Tungate at best would be the third heat leader
  4. When Poole riders do average in Aussie champs we are told that it’s irrelevant. Nick Morris been poor and people saying it’s an issue. I would bet that Tungate finishes a good number of points ahead.....but yet next season Morris will have the higher average of the two
  5. Spot on We have Jake Allen at reserve as Poole couldn’t afford him We also have Danny King as a second string .... a much better rider than Klindt , Josh and Worrall..... one of whom will be a heat leader...... All rosy this way
  6. Kurtz has the habit of blowing his chances in these big meetings, either through falling or trying to hard. Its something i though he might iron out as he gets older Jack Holder will be the better of the two riders but as of yet isnt the class of his older brother or Fricke Tungate is doing well but always tends to down under and then doesnt seem to carry his form forward. If he could he would be a potent third heat leader Good to see Chris Holder doing well. On paper he is the favourite for the title before a wheel is turned but he is coping fine with that pressure.
  7. Gater, MattFordFan, KKS, who knows lol
  8. Im guessing we have one of the old school Poole fans back one who changes his name every other month, dear oh dear
  9. I was spot on when i said last seasons Poole 1-7 was risky and didnt look good.....care to acknowledge that?
  10. Nice to see you speak highly of fellow Poole fans, one of whom Rayc , actually speaks the most sense of Poole fans on here. What people are saying if you care to read properly is that Poole for the first time are not prepared to go the extra mile to get riders like they used to. Poole cant afford/wont pay.....for riders like Woryna and Jacobsen and wouldnt match Ipswich for Jake Allen. This means that either the club is not as strong financially as some want to believe , or that Matt Ford cant be bothered anymore to pull out all the stops to get the riders he wants. Either way if this line up doesnt produce the goods i wonder how Poole will be able to afford/want to change the team
  11. Please enlighten us as to what clubs around the years 2000-2012 in the top league weren’t paying their riders then? Its like in some Poole fans eyes every rider wants to ride for them , on less money then elsewhere as well...... what an amazing club
  12. Correct Pooles all round package including sponsors was the main reason why riders used to go there
  13. Yes other clubs offered Rickardsson ,Holder , Ward, Hancock and Janowski more money I’m assuming by Lisa’s comments. Poole are a very well run club for sure but there is no way other clubs offered these riders more then Poole to ride for them
  14. And you honestly believe that do you!
  15. I don’t think Poole have financial troubles but they obviously have an issue going for riders like Worrall and Josh rather than Woryna and Jacobsen. I guess Matt Ford must be saving his money for when he can make changes which with this 1-7 must happen I would imagine
  16. Ipswich side looks one of the best at the moment. A second string that will win lots of races especially at home and the most sought after reserve in the league. So very very happy at the moment , granted we could have an average side like Pooles once we sign all seven but as of yet we don’t know. As always thanks for your concern
  17. Id possibly take Kennett as a second string always gone ok round Foxhall in the past
  18. Must be some issues at Poole with regards finance if they cant afford Jake Allen over a club like ours that isnt as commercially successful As i said worrying if the team needs to be changed........maybe things will be done on the cheap like when Lahti and Kennett were brought in a couple of seasons ago
  19. Thats how to have a debate .....shame that a couple of Poole fans have that inability And yes i was accused of all sorts at the start of last season when i said the Poole side was risky.............not one apology when i was spot on. Have a good xmas
  20. And the award for fabrication goes to........ He didnt want to much money but Ipswich got in first and he was happy with what was on offer and joined us Not every rider dreams of riding for Poole and when they dont sign for Poole there isnt always an excuse as to why................riders do choose themselves. It must be very worrying if Poole are being outbid on riders and not prepared to stump up the money......what happens if the team struggles you wont be able to afford to make changes
  21. Pretty good assessment i would say and i make Somerset favourites I do however see Berwick doing really well i dont know why just a hunch
  22. Its all about opinion In the Poole team i think that Josh, Worrall and Klindt may not match their average or improve it. I think Kurtz and NBJ and probably Covatti will improve theirs I think Jack Holder is inbetween in my eyes Its just when you get a (use designated word) like Starman telling me i cant form an opinion as i dont got to Poole
  23. I think Worrall will struggle to match his average or improve it You then say ‘that’s because I don’t go to Poole’ What weird planet are you on? Because I don’t go to Poole I can’t have that opinion I think Kurtz and NBJ will improve theirs...... is that ok as I’m actually saying Poole riders will do ok.......or because I don’t go to Poole I can’t give an opinion I don’t go to Swindon but my opinion is Adam Ellis will improve his. Try the kiddies section might be more on your level!
  24. He rode at reserve last season and is now in the main body can’t see how that can bring about an improvement in average
