  1. He signed for Lynn and averaged about 1.00 in 01/02? Newport then signed him on a 9.00 in 2003 and he increased his average and went EL the season after. He spent many seasons as a second heatleader in the EL with Pboro/Wolves and Lynn and then had a breakthrough season with Lynn. A great rider, brilliant style and a great guy as well.
  2. Jealous? What would I be jealous of? Morton ended up bankrupt didnt he? Or so we were told? And lost everything? Im extremely jealous of that , haha! Morton made a right mess of it , however or whoever funded it, it certainly wasnt his money was it? And the non payment of rent , whos fault was that? What has my location being in Australia got to do with anything?
  3. Well even if it wasn’t borrowed , they still had a brand new track and stadium built for them . He must of overseen something , or are you suggesting all that money was ploughed in by the council and the subcontractors were simply given a set of plans and told off you go? Not a chance.

  5. So why was there an article on here not so long ago stating how much was owed to Manchester Council from Belle Vue speedway?
  6. With the amount of money they borrowed it would be hard to put a foot wrong regarding the whole stadium and track, but of course they did.
  7. Bjerre will be one of the top dogs in this awfully weak top flight , without a doubt. Its only really Doyle who I can see topping him in the final averages.
  8. Same problem as speedway, living in the past nearly 30 years ago. Also may explain why most of the decent chippys from Queensland are down here in Melbourne where construction is booming and Victoria pays the most . I am only going on my experiences and that includes the UK, New Zealand and Australia and never have I once been instructed to wear a companies clothing. Or it could be the fact supplying 1000plus men with three-five shirts, hard hats, rain jackets and jumpers etc would cost an absolute fortune and its a pointless outlay of money, similar to Pooles outlook on a smaller scale, didnt do them any harm last season did it? I have seen nothing but professionalism over here in construction , the money is spot on, at least 30 high rise buildings going up around us in the city alone. but you were here in 1991 so I take it you know more !
  9. Its very necessary. His pathetic rants at riders since his accident has been disgraceful. Pedersen has more class than Ward or any of his pals ever had and Wards abuse just stinks of jealousy to me.
  10. Companies I have worked for over here in Aus have been extremely professional yet dont insist on you wearing their gear. Im working for a company who has 1000 plus boys on the books full time from shuttering carpenters to post tension fitters to steelies , thats without subbies. Only a handful on each job will have our firms jumpers on etc. they dont give a toss what gear you wear as long as it meets PPE criteria. And we are talking multi million dollar buisnesses here , not the type of firm to sling up an extension. I always find the firms who are insisting you wear their hard hats, hoodies, vests, jumpers etc are the smaller ones trying to make a name for themselves . But hey ho, I must be seeing things on a day to day basis.

  12. Ward proving once again to be a first class tosspott. stinks of jealousy, Nicki P a three time world champ, multimillionaire and then what has Ward got? a bitter guy thats for sure.
  13. More fool them if they are ordered to wear your work gear if their not on your books full time. I have spent the last fifteen years as a subcontractor and a full time employee and not once got forced to wear a companys logo whilst subbying into them. Maybe different up North or times in the UK have changed now as I left five years ago of course. But if a company isnt willing to take you on the books full time, then its extremely rare to be asked to wear their hard hats/jackets/body warmers etc .
  14. Nermark wore orange (and bright green) before he rode for Workington .
  15. Has NKI announced he wont be riding in the UK? If not then id be surprised if he isnt in this Lynn team.
  16. Being in construction I can tell you right now that the track alone will take longer than a week , there is no chance of a semi new stadium being completed before march let alone a week.
  17. I just dont like you, calling you the most disliked person on here isnt obsessed or acting the hardman at all. your constant negative drivel about Poole is pathetic and boring. You are the one whos obsessed, your obsessed with Poole. now your own club are in the same division as Poole you would of thought a normal guy would spend his time on the Ipswich thread, not the Poole one more?
  18. There can be no doubt that Gavans the most disliked person on this forum surely?
  19. Worrall when 100 percent fit is a much better rider than Auty.
  20. Workington class this year, hope they win the lot
  21. You have done nothing but swipe at the club since he left. I just can’t work out how people think that a club that makes a profit, with a very healthy fanbase , is not worth a lot of money. Other people seem to think lesser clubs are worth money as many have changed hands over the past few years, so why wouldnt the, like it or not, biggest club in UK speedway over the past 20 years be any different?
  22. Aw diddums , someone still upset their boy got the arse from Poole?
