  1. Surely seeing off Watt, Holder and Batchelor in one season is more than most of us could have dreamed of!
  2. Gelsenkirchen year two The Riga SGP that never took place The first Warsaw SGP
  3. Agreed - that is indeed one of the most pleasing aspects of this sorry saga!
  4. Quite agree - UK Speedway clubs do not of course actually 'own' self-employed riders! Maybe I could claim that I own my self-employed window cleaner and try to transfer him (for an undisclosed fee) to my neighbour! As Tsunami says it would be more appropriate to refer to them as holding rider registrations.
  5. Quite agree Batchelor and Holder out Watt retired Happy Days!
  6. and that would be if it were dry and sunny with no rain at all in the forecast!
  7. I really hope they have got this right as a late call off will not go down very well!
  8. Yes indeed and well done to the Somerset promotion for making every attempt to get it on. My bigger concern is there are a few riders in the field who might not be too keen!
  9. I was very fortunate to witness it as well especially as it is until now the only Speedway staged in Canada in 2017! It was great to catch up with Kyle Legault and see the legendary Jeff Orosz who had come out of retirement! A big thank you too to Nicolas Fafard who put in a huge amount of work to make sure we had 9 Speedway races on Saturday evening. The people at the Club were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for me but I guess they don't get too many Speedway fans coming over from the UK. The trip was short but well worth it and Niagara Falls was quite something as well!
  10. I really enjoyed the trip to Macon and it was nice to see other British fans there as well. Robert and Dan rode well and comfortably qualified. The main opposition came from two of the Poles and Davis Kurmis, a Latvian who looked promising.
  11. Can only blame the promotions who fail to spot when these GP Qualifiers/other FIM meetings are on are on but it happens every season! Some very strange GP qualifier allocations as well! Should be a nice evening though and let's hope for a good meeting!
  12. Ordered mine - a lot easier these days than it used to be a few years back!
  13. Just booked my flights - bargain £54 return! [/quote Is that another new one to add to the list ? Yes Tim. If all goes well that should be my 165th track!
  14. It was always going to be very tough for Adam getting anywhere near to his starting average so I do feel rather sorry for him. I hope things soon pick up for him.
  15. Absolutely fine at Blunsdon but I drove through a fair bit of rain after Oxford. Fortunately it stopped about 2 miles from the track!
  16. I understand that Poznan have taken over the first leg of the final originally scheduled for Swindon.
  17. Yes Pawel Miesiac was very impressive and only dropped points to an opponent when he fell in heat 15. Thankfully he was ok though. Lublin are a very good team even without Robert Lambert and I'm sure they will do well this season.
  18. Really enjoyed my first visit to Warsaw. Also had a great (10 hour round) trip to Opole on the Sunday to watch some Division 2 Speedway which completed the weekend very nicely!
  19. Even when Leicester were 8 points in front I could only see a victory for the Stars based on the extremely favourable gate positions coming their way (gate 4 was almost a dead cert for 3 points) as well as two races featuring both Holder and Lambert.
  20. The right decision no doubt but probably could have been made much earlier. Rory would not be too happy to allow any meeting to go ahead if the track was too wet!
  21. I believe there may also be a meeting at Opole as well!
