Absolutely fine at Blunsdon but I drove through a fair bit of rain after Oxford. Fortunately it stopped about 2 miles from the track!

I understand that Poznan have taken over the first leg of the final originally scheduled for Swindon. -
Warsaw Gp 13th May 2017

Yes Pawel Miesiac was very impressive and only dropped points to an opponent when he fell in heat 15. Thankfully he was ok though. Lublin are a very good team even without Robert Lambert and I'm sure they will do well this season. -

Really enjoyed my first visit to Warsaw. Also had a great (10 hour round) trip to Opole on the Sunday to watch some Division 2 Speedway which completed the weekend very nicely! -
Kings Lynn Stars Vs Leicester 10/05/17
WembleyLion replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Even when Leicester were 8 points in front I could only see a victory for the Stars based on the extremely favourable gate positions coming their way (gate 4 was almost a dead cert for 3 points) as well as two races featuring both Holder and Lambert. -
A great Speedway man! R.I.P Bob

I believe there may also be a meeting at Opole as well! -

Very sad - a great contributor to this forum. RIP Alan -
They were paid fixed amounts for the meeting so nothing to be gained financially from an extra ride. Only one rider wanted some extra practice on what was by then a very slick track! Still doesn't explain the lengthy delay though!

A meeting at Pila now on the Sunday to add to Leszno, Bydgoszcz and Krosno. Bydgoszcz being the nearest of the four to Warsaw! -
Peterborough Vs Ipswich Non 17th April

Well done to Jack Holder who was tremendous today - certainly way better than I've ever seen him ride before! Thanks also to the big guys at the end for smashing open the exit gates so we could get out! -

Panthers ultras? All 4 of you? You, King Kenneth Speed, Kris Ad and Morrissey Fan? -
I seem to recall that Jiri Stancl of Reading and Ole Olsen of Coventry both scored five ride maximums in the same meeting at Smallmead!

I have witnessed two of the worst examples this season (Peterborough v Coventry and Leicester v Swindon) and in both cases it was obvious well over an hour before the scheduled start time that there would be problems and yet absolutely nothing was done!

I always enjoy reading the foreign section and if one feels British Speedway is on the decline you'll read Speedway is now all but dead in many other countries (although not quite as dead in Bulgaria where the Star incorrectly stated there had been no meetings since 2014). Often it's down to a few old time riders and local enthusiasts to just about keep things alive.

There were queues at 6pm and it was obvious then there would be a problem. -

They have just announced a delayed start. I think the two ladies in the box office will need a good rest too! -

Looks like it will be a big crowd. Lengthy queues outside for the two box office booths so I guess a delayed start is inevitable! -

Cashing in brownie points Dave! I'll follow you to Wolves then. Great to see such a big crowd 😊 -

I hope they get a move on when it gets started as sadly I might have to re-think my planned trip to PK's farewell. Looks like they are not that bothered about making up lost time as they are only just pushing the bikes out for a parade! -
No Loyality To British Riders

I'm sure it won't be long before we see the likes of Max Dilger, Rafal Konopka and Nicki Barrett gracing our tracks as well! -
Really gutted for the Coventry fans I know and I feel very much for the riders as well! I'm sorry to say it but it is game, set and match to Sandhu (Estates)!
