  1. It’s pretty common practice!! Using the link earlier by arnieg https://www.sportcal.com/pressreleases/bsi-announce-acquisition-of-reading-speedway/ There’s a paragraph from outgoing promoter Pat Bliss. It’s pretty standard stuff.
  2. Agree with you. Strange. Crikey they’re all buggering off! Is the track man still there?
  3. If ever there was a season where you’re not the least bit bothered whether your team wins the title or not, it’s this one. Time to just go and watch some racing with little expectation, and hopefully there’s something actually worth winning in 2027.
  4. Doesn’t need to be does it? You don’t need to be Nostradamus to predict where this prospective team finishes. It currently finishes bottom of the five. Everyone can see it, just like everyone could see Birmingham and Oxford would be finishing at the bottom last year. The one caveat, is nothing has been confirmed team wise and we await to see who the final rider is,,
  5. Champs to chumps in the blink of an eye. Quite an amazing turnaround really.
  6. The fact someone is signing Scott Nicholls in 2026 in a “Premiership” team says everything really. That’s no slight on him either. He’s been a fine rider for many years but come on now the bloke is on the slippery slope to 50 and just spent nearly a year out injured. It’s all a bit desperate.
  7. You can probably get away with a 6 team league, but no more than that. There’s a few that could come back in if they’ve been given enough notice namely Doyle, Becker, Ellis. But they would only help team five and Six be a bit more competitive rather then get a seventh or eighth team competing.

  9. Exactly. Isn’t feasible, or workable .
  10. And people want even more clubs in the top flight. LOL.
  11. A member of Mayfield sports events LTD were present alongside Chris Louis at the recent staff signing on session. A lot of capital has already been committed via the club purchase, lease of the stadium, and rider signing on fees. This has resulted in them loaning a new air fence for the coming season, with a purchase option at a later date. If the new owners announced are not Mayfield Sports, then something has gone awry at the 11th hour and Louis has gone to plan B.
  12. You were banging this exact drum a couple of months ago on the GP thread, predicting the end of the GP series under these utter frauds, and that they would be seriously cutting the number of GP’S, if they announced any at all. A week later they announced, a FULL GP Calendar, as promised. You, then promptly disappeared after being made to look ‘kin stupid. And here we are, you’re on here again with your broken crystal ball predicting all sorts of doomsday scenarios regarding Mayfield sports. Despite denials, you clearly have a personal axe to grind. You’re either a rider, a friend of a rider, family member or sponsor, who is unhappy that they’ve cut the riders prize money (sensibly). Either that, or you’re just completely unhinged and are in need or some serious help.
  13. When are Ipswich announcing their “great new GP Number 1” Flagrag? Mayfield seriously need to up their sausage roll game before anyone will take them seriously!!
  14. And here he is again regurgitating the same old crap on various threads. You have a clear agenda here against Richard Coleman for reasons only you know. It’s blatantly personal.
  15. I’d fully expect Thorssell and Nicholls to swap positions after the first set of Green Sheets. RE King, agree with you there although to be fair to him, he’s still very good around Ipswich and after a sea of change, they may have wanted a semblance of continuity. A better signing for Ipswich than he would have been for anyone else.
  16. I’m personally glad about that. Not a fan of the same people running two clubs in the same division.
  17. He definitely is, but Ipswich will have to find a way of getting him motivated and back to his best which was only a couple of seasons ago. In Sheffields title winning season, he topped their averages over the season above Woffinden posting a season average of 9.35 with bonuses. That comfortably outstrips anything Doyle or Emil posted in Ipswich’ title triumph last year. Things then started to go downhill which began with the farcical situation at Kings Lynn where he looked uninterested, then picked up an injury, and then completely disappeared. Then last year he rarely hit the heights, but then again it was a bit of a car crash situation at Birmingham where they all struggled as a team, and they all knew it was the clubs last season. Maybe it’s just a case of two wrong moves and clubs for him. He’ll now be at a well run club (or WERE, remains to be seen if that’s still the case under new owners), and riding in front of a good crowd every home meeting which absolutely does make a difference to riders. Let’s see if that gets him going again because there’s no doubt about it, Musielak is a fine rider capable of much more than his current average. He’s good to watch as well when he’s in the mood and on song. Has ridden Ipswich well in the past too.
  18. Anders Thomson, Freddy Lindgren, Robert Lambert, Dan Bewley all had a lower average in Poland last year than Jason Doyle, and yet Doyle had a poor year here in the UK. Poland is and has always been, a terrible indicator of what happens in this Country average wise. Thorssell has shown a liking to tracks over here in the past and even if he’s regressed as a rider since then, that is negated by the fact the league he would be returning to has been watered down. Thorssell is more than capable of a 6.5 average in this league, so anyone that grabs him on a 4.5 is getting a two point average jumper right off the bat.
  19. That would go unbeaten at Ipswich. Some Foxhall specialists packed in there and Thorssell at reserve is ridiculous. Perhaps he was, but didn’t want to wait any longer on Northampton so has taken a guaranteed ride at Ipswich to get his season sorted?
  20. How on earth have they come to that figure? Ipswich have a new main team sponsor as well then?
  21. Because they’re not yet owners of a Speedway club are they? They’ll announce themselves, when they are! What on earth are people struggling with here?
  22. Because as the latest statement says, it still hasn’t been completed yet due to stadium related issues. They’re clearly a professionally run outfit unlike the cowboys who run other clubs in this Country and won’t be making a full, detailed announcement until all legalities have been completed. And rightly so. On the team, again the statement says only five of the team have actually signed, two close. Perhaps they want to announce the full team, together with their announcement of the purchase of the club, in one go? That again makes total sense.
  23. Nicholls would be a better signing for Ipswich than anyone else. Struggles for pace on the bigger tracks these days, but will still score consistently well around Foxhall. Important to win your home fixtures.
  24. Have the rest of the BSPL hacked Louis off that much, that he’s now doing this on purpose to be as disruptive to them as possible? He knows they need Ipswich. People may scoff at that idea, but it’s entirely possible.
