  1. That was my immediate thought but after reading questions that people had asked the SGB on twitter, if a rider as an average for both leagues, they use the average for the league they are going to be riding in so Klindt would be 6.36 x1.4 =8.90 which doesn't make him so attractive to a top- flight team.
  2. Lions are still in the top fight league. The Elite league is now called the Premiership & what was the Premier League is now the Championship, so the 'Big boys' will still be at Leicester next year.
  3. Is midweek likely to be Wednesday or Thursday? There's quite a lot of PL meetings on Thursdays, which wouldn't help with double-up riders & doesn't Wednesday clash with the Danish League?
  4. Kings Lynn fans being told to return re-admission tickets to their own club for a refund, which as been agreed with Keith Chapman . Leicester fans can keep their tickets for a match next season.
  5. I'm pretty sure Poles aren't allowed to ride Premier League or less they ride under a different licence to their Polish one, so if we are in the Premier League, Wozinak wouldn't be able to ride. I have to agree with you about Klindt, under the circumstances I think he's done pretty well this year & would like to see him return, especially as his last premier average was only 5.42. But let's just hope this mess get's sorted first & we are running next season ( preferably Saturdays in the Premier League).
  6. What is the situation with Wozniak, is he refusing to ride because he hasn't been paid ( wouldn't blame him or anyone else ) or are his polish club refusing to let him ride? It was never explained why he was announced by the presenter at Belle Vue, but didn't take to the track. Did he travel there with the intention of riding or was he never actually there? Would like to see Harris guesting for Klindt, maybe Bates for Starke & i'm guessing R/R for Wozniak. I presume Summers will be riding, even though Glasgow are at Edinburgh, as I think that was re-arranged after this fixture was announced.
  7. Don't think the finances will stretch that far, fireworks out of the question. Unless the referee accidently switches the stadium lights out again, then we might see a few rockets going off .
  8. I suppose one of the reasons it's on the 7th is that NKI & Hougaard will be in the country for the ELRC the next evening. Also GP's on the 1st & 22nd
  9. It's pretty certain season ticket holders wouldn't be refunded anyway. When Birmingham withdrew from the league,(obviously not Lions fault) Lions hadn't raced them at home, so that was 2 fixtures that season, season ticket holders had paid for but didn't take place , no refund was ever given. I did write, suggesting a discount off the following years ticket, but to no avail. Also this seasons package was suppose to include the East Midland Bowl, which has never taken place & don't think Coventry even mentioned it on their fixtures, so I doubt it was ever going to happen. Every year I question whether buying a season ticket is worth it, if there is a next season, I 'll seriously don't think it's worth the risk.
  10. That's what I can't understand, surely if they run the meeting at a neutral venue it's going to cost more as they will have to pay a hire fee for the stadium. Why can't they run it at Leicester?
  11. Announced on Lions facebook page at 12.59 that it was off . But your right still doesn't say it on website.
  12. Definitely no Summers, he's riding for Glasgow. As he's at no.2 it will have to be R/R, but there is only Lindgren below him in the averages so presume reserves will have to take all his rides. So if Wozniak doesn't ride they will have to use a guest.
  13. No team news on Lions website, just a brief preview. On the speedway gb website, their preview as Masters, Kerr & Palm Toft guesting for KL, with R/R for Porsing . But also no mention of Lions team.
  14. This was before he hurt his back, 4th August at Poole
  15. Checked updates & unlike Lindgren, Hougaard did actually ride in Denmark on the days he missed Lions meetings
  16. Just looked at updates & you're right didn't ride for Valsama that night. I was only quoting what appeared on Lions website, so don't know the real reason( possibly Lions couldn't or wouldn't pay his travel expenses)
  17. What I can't understand about the track is that it can & has produced excellent racing at times this season since the alterations to bends 3 & 4. I'm thinking particularly of the KL match when there was, by memory passing in most heats & also the second meeting against Coventry which also contained plenty of passing. But as you rightly say, generally speaking passing is pretty rare. You have been unlucky that the 2 matches against Poole this season have been the worst in terms of passing ( 2 in 30 heats, that I can think of). So if passing is possible in some meetings, why, in others is it non- existent? is it the shale, track-prep, weather conditions, I don't know, but as Shale Searcher says there was a lot of rain in the build up to Mondays meeting & the track was under water. I hope that bends 1&2 are altered next season, if there is a next season, & see if that improves things.
  18. I think you're right only Leicester could agree to re-arrange on a date when their no.1 is missing & then run with R/R instead of a guest. Especially annoying when the original fixture could have been run if they hadn't called it off due to a forecast of rain that didn't materialize, when Poole had a weakened side.
  19. He was the last time Coventry were there, 16+1, but the last time he guested for Lions 1+1, although to be fair he was carrying an injury.
  20. Not much available guest wise, only really Lawson, King or possibly Garrity.
  21. I presume Lions only doubt is Ludvig Lindgren, depends if his back injury has cleared up, if he is fit then him & Auty face a dash from the Scunthorpe v Newcastle match which starts at 3.00pm, which I think why the start time as been put back to 7.45pm. Obviously Poole are at Belle Vue at midday, so they will be hoping that they come through without any injuries.
  22. I have a genuine question, apart from the riders, what other bills aren't being paid & how do you know this?. I'm not doubting what you say just curious to know the answers.
  23. I think the decision to call it off was influenced by the Leicester v Arsenal game being a 5.30 kick -off & on the TV. I know the speedway was put back to 8.00pm, but the attendance would have still been affected, & it seems at the minute money is more important than running against an under strength Poole, when we might have stood half a chance. Like you say it's been dry all day apart from a couple of light showers, which didn't even wet the pavements & with that strong wind i'm sure the track would have been fine, maybe even needing a bit of a watering.
