  1. Not seen the Lions side, but it's the German Individual Championship on Sunday, so presumably Erik Riss will be riding in that.
  2. Hans Andersen riding for the Bees, looks like a pretty strong line-up for them.
  3. Thanks for that info, I suppose if Sheffield have already secured top spot Bates & Bjerre might ride for Leicester, but like you say I imagine the league fixture will take priority.
  4. Is this a recent addition to the fixture as it doesn't appear on the BSPA website fixtures? The reason I ask is that it's Leicester v Coventry on the 17th, which would mean Bates & Bjerre missing one of the matches ,presumably Leicester, although Leicester is a 2 o'clock start. Even starting at 2, they wouldn't make Newcastle unless it didn't start until about 8pm. So looks like we'll be watching another patched up Lions team.
  5. Don't worry about Lynn finishing bottom, there was little chance of Lions winning at Rye with a full team, but replacing the injured Riss & Bjerre with Etheridge & Perks, means Lions will struggle to get 30 points tonight, add that to the guests they picked at home to Wolves they seem resigned to finishing bottom. Can only think they would like the extra revenue a relegation play-off might bring, especially if it's against Sheffield, it's a win-win situation for the owners.
  6. Worrall's average is 7.26 & King's 6.53 ( 6.86 with 5% added ), so no way that could happen, even in Jim Lynch's mind! News item on Lions website now gives the reason Worrall guest ride wasn't sanctioned. It was because Lions tried to use the +5% for home rider missing, which would have taken Przedpelski's average up to 7.35. This wasn't allowed, so couldn't use Worrall & Howarth now steps in.
  7. Yes , although Lions website still shows Worrall guesting, the preview on the SGB website now states R/R for Przedpelski & Howarth for King as you say. So must have had a change of plan.
  8. Can anybody clarify the situation with Lions having Richie Worrall guesting in place of Pawel Przedpelski. Pawel has an assessed average of 7.00, which you can't add 5% for a home rider missing because assessed riders can't have the 5% added, clearly stated at the top of the page in the GSA's( although up until the latest release Pawel's figure did show the +5% for some reason). Richie Worrall has a Premiership average of 7.26 from his time at Poole, which is too high, but because he no longer rides in the Premiership are Lions using his Championship average of 8.64 converted by whatever the figure is. The rules for guesting state that if a rider has got a Premier & Championship average the higher average should be used. Can anyone explain who knows more about it than me?
  9. Confirmed on Lions twitter page, Nilsson out, Scott Nicholls guests.
  10. Presume no Riss for Lions & no Barker & Wells for Rye, all have Championship fixtures.
  11. Looking at that video, it certainly seems Bewley nicked that on the line, yet the referee gave it to Bjerre.
  12. Yes, what should be more interesting is as it looks at the minute, it could well be Leicester v Sheffield, both run by the same promotion, with 2 riders riding for both teams.
  13. Lasse didn't ride in heat 15 or take an R/R ride, just took his 4 programmed rides & looked good for his full maximum. Update site is wrong King ran a last place in heat 15, not Bjerre.
  14. Yes, it was rearranged from 1st June, because Lions had 4 riders missing ( Bates ,Bjerre, Garrity & King) & switched to tonight because Sheffield didn't have a meeting, so Bates & Bjerre were available, then Newman was signed , Nilsson & Przedpelski both got injured so they ironically still missing 4 riders.
  15. Any news on Bates fitness, he withdrew after his 2nd ride at Peterborough on Friday suffering from an injury, which I think he received riding at Ipswich on Wednesday. If he isn't fit Lions will have to use R/R now he's in the 1-5, which means Newman, Riss & Bjerre , to take his rides, which would make Lions a lot stronger.
  16. Yes, but Wolves had like for like guests, Lions have no facility for Nilsson or Gomolski , so with only Championship riders below 4.00 or NL riders available it would be a complete miss-match.
  17. Josh Bates selected for the FIM under-21 world championship semi-final which is also on May 20th, so with 3 riders out surely the Wolves fixture will have to be re-arranged.
  18. Hopefully not! If you could use a like for like guest or R/R it wouldn't really matter. It's the fact no facility is given that is the problem.
  19. Makes you wonder if they had known Gomolski was going to do the SEC ( I think he was a late inclusion), would they have kept Wolbert instead of releasing him & ditched Gomolski. He would have still fitted average wise.
  20. Bad news for Lions fans is that Gomolski came through his SEC Qualifier yesterday & now rides in the SEC Challenge final on 20th May the same day we are home to Wolves, so now will have to face them without Gomolski & no facility for him. That night would have seen the full 1-7 appear together at home for the first time, I think. Also if he finishes in the top 7 of that meeting he will qualify for the SEC series, which is another 4 meetings, but I think only the one on the 5th August, at home against Kings Lynn clashes with Lions fixtures.
  21. Lions without Gomolski & no facility, means with Richard Hall guesting for him Rye House should be comfortable winners.
  22. My understanding of the rule regarding replacing a rider who you have no facility for is that the rider can be from the National league but must have never averaged 4.00 or above in the Championship or someone from the Championship who currently averages 4.00 or below. Hall currently averages 3.53 in the Championship but doesn't ride in the National league so that's why he's eligible to guest. I think that's right but someone who understands the rules better than me will probably correct me. For what it's worth Ben Morley surely would have been a better guest, ex Rye House man & is eligible, but his Lakeside team are due at Wolverhampton to ride against Cradley at 8.00pm ( same meeting as Danny Ayres) so they probably weren't keen for him to take a guest booking at 2.00pm.
  23. Boxall is listed on the BNL page riding for Plymouth. I think anyone who has averaged 4.00 or above in the championship at any time, but who now rides in the National League cannot guest in the Premiership that's why they have NEG next to their name.
  24. According to the Rye House website it's Richard Hall.
