They're ALL aggregate score competitions! -
Some short memories here. Was it not part of the 'package' of adjustments created, to allow resurrection of the Comets after the league suspended their membership last summer, that meeting starts between changed to 6pm? Personally, l would prefer to visit Northside for 3pm starts, but if the 6pm time means they will survive as a club, there's no question -- six o'clock it is!

No, Scotland's winning start is on the Sunday (14th) Although England are playing (late kick-off) on the night Poole are at Shielfield (27th)

Is that a threat? Rob will be trembling..... -
Can't agree with you for once. All FIM meetings are very important, but FIM Europe events are run by and for Polish television, and should be if no interest to UK authorities

I guess we'll find out in time. He's fairly pushing the boat out this year, travelling so far north, eh? -

Since he raced last season in Britain, he can't get the discount. He should return to Championship on his average from the NL, converted at the standard rate. Less the "British" discount.. -

Perhaps the Godfreys' ambition is to run the Scunthorpe speedway to a sensible budget, and provide entertainment (and home wins) for many seasons to come? -
Nikkas Holm tried out at Berwick last season, introduced by Jonas J...... Clearly JJ is the contact who has got him the Northside gig Good luck to the lad, he seemed to be a very nice young chap
-
Well, he's got one already!

He froze himself out, in a way! Declined at least two invitations to ride for clubs he judged "too far north" didn't he? -
Concussion, plus shoulder injury.

Something to bear in mind is the deeper repercussions of signing Jason Garrity. In Scottish soccer, when a couple of clubs tried to sign a very talented, but flawed player called David Goodwillie, the negative reaction didn't necessarily come from other clubs or supporters. In one case, a club was informed by the local council that, due to their announcement of signing him, the lease on their ground was to be terminated, another reaction came from major sponsors at another club withdrawing their funding. David Goodwillie has never been tried or convicted of the offence widely reported, but "The Court of Public Opinion" has decided football no longer wants or needs him. Might Garrity's future be ordained in the same way?
-
Yes, for motoring offences. Garrity was banged up for horrible crimes, and the ACU should take this into consideration.

Most hopefully not

Since coming to Berwick, Drew has added over three points to his average, finishing the '25 season as #1. He has been a delight to deal with, on and off track, and if his (quite reasonable) ambitions of riding, and earning abroad had not prevented his racing in the Championship in '26 he would most certainly have been invited, and welcomed by the Bandits again. If he finds it possible to return at some time in the future, Berwick fans and management would most certainly be delighted.

Reggie named as club captain.

Reid Battye, a young rider from NSW, travelled all the way up to Darwin last year to contest, and indeed win, the Northern Territory State Title. Which in turn got him into the field for the recently-concluded Aussie Title series. Allowing him to showcase himself alongside a few other hopefuls.

Tyres have to be monitored, supplied from a common batch for each meeting, signed off by the referee. Although riders can supply their own fuel, most will buy from a track van. At some meetings, the ACU/SCB will descend "out of the blue" and run tests on fuel during the meeting. Usually, there will be weight tests run on bikes at the same time. A bit like the drugs authority or Spanish Inquisition, these visits are unexpected. Further. a rider's fuel is always liable to be tested if there's a complaint lodged.
