  1. Yes, for motoring offences. Garrity was banged up for horrible crimes, and the ACU should take this into consideration.
  2. Since coming to Berwick, Drew has added over three points to his average, finishing the '25 season as #1. He has been a delight to deal with, on and off track, and if his (quite reasonable) ambitions of riding, and earning abroad had not prevented his racing in the Championship in '26 he would most certainly have been invited, and welcomed by the Bandits again. If he finds it possible to return at some time in the future, Berwick fans and management would most certainly be delighted.
  3. Reid Battye, a young rider from NSW, travelled all the way up to Darwin last year to contest, and indeed win, the Northern Territory State Title. Which in turn got him into the field for the recently-concluded Aussie Title series. Allowing him to showcase himself alongside a few other hopefuls.
  4. So Australia's representatives in this year's SGP Challenge process will be Jack Holder, Kenyan Rew and Jaimon Lindsey. They pick their qualification venue (Germany, Slovakia or Scotland) in that order -- Jack gets first choice, etc. .. If anyone drops out, Rohan Tungate is next in line
  5. Tyres have to be monitored, supplied from a common batch for each meeting, signed off by the referee. Although riders can supply their own fuel, most will buy from a track van. At some meetings, the ACU/SCB will descend "out of the blue" and run tests on fuel during the meeting. Usually, there will be weight tests run on bikes at the same time. A bit like the drugs authority or Spanish Inquisition, these visits are unexpected. Further. a rider's fuel is always liable to be tested if there's a complaint lodged.
  6. On the evidence of my own eyes, Jacob Hook has far outperformed Tate Zischke over the past two nights. I'm not suggesting Workington shouldn't persevere with Tate, that's their business, but I find the decision not to have kept Jacob on board quite baffling.
  7. It is run for the advertising revenue, pure and simple -- and that isn't buttons. Same, as it happens for the updates site. Great and useful to speedway fans, but not provided as public services. Just for revenue.
  8. Let's try another way. See if mods actually look at this thread: Bum titty bum
  9. This morning's briefing makes clear the club are aiming to finalise the squad with a new face. No rush, either. Where should they be looking?
  10. If the two riders are of equal scoring ability, their cost to the club about the same -- and the rules insist only one can be retained, PK is a greater pits influence, and works very well with fans, etc, off-track. This is not to denigrate JJ in any way, but if given the forced choice, l believe PK is the right choice
  11. He was Niklas Holm Jacobsen. Sometimes just called Niklas Holm. 18. Pal of JJ. No idea if he would be a 4 or 5
  12. While not wanting to get anyone's hope even slightly airborne, it would be to established stadia, where planning permission is presumably still in place, that the Premiership should be looking to add to their numbers. Brough Park, while requiring serious funding to reinstall track and fence, etc, would -- if promoted jointly by the BSPL themselves (as was West Ham in 1964, which was a huge financial success despite the team finishing bottom of the last-ever -- old -- National League) might just work, not least by raising the numbers in the current Premiership. To those who say that the stadium owners wouldn't want it -- everyone has their price........ Recalling West Ham, which paid off handsomely when it was refloated after a nine-year break and later on the recent Oxford revival -- and the huge crowds that came back to Glasgow in 1988 after the city had been without speedway for 16 years, it might not be the worst idea. In a major city. After a five year gap. Just saying.......
  13. As soon as he rides a league match in Europe, he'll be a 5.00
  14. Makes a very strong top five at home. Promotion will be pleased you approve.
  15. Lasse Fredricksen signed for Berwick. Over week now since Paddy politely asked that this thread be pinned.... If he'd used a slightly risque phrase, l bet the mods would have been all over him .......
  16. Certainly better than the Dane he replaced.
