  1. Luke Harrison, who has been a regular for Berwick Academy for a few years, also in tomorrow's Final. Good luck to both Ace and Luke. Who says the NJL isn't working?
  2. That would depend on how well these teams promote their home round. To locals, who hopefully dont follow this forum any too closely.....
  3. But what is a "proper British track"? The delight about our racing is in the difference. Berwick, Plymouth, Armadale, Kent, Ipswich, Glasgow....... You can see cracking meetings at them all. Sadly, Belle Vue -- which is a great track, although not really "typically British" -- as a venue is lacking in spectator capacity, and the surrounding area is lacking in, well, civilisation. Cardiff, with a better-prepared track surface, remains our best option by far. IMO.
  4. Yes. Alcohol is zero. Not sure how various drugs are checked, as some are in your body all the time naturally, but it is again the equivilent of a zero.
  5. Yes. Alcohol is zero. Not sure how various drugs are checked, as some are in your body all the time naturally, but it is again the equivilent if a zero.
  6. I think if Flint had been riding, Berwick would have been red hot favourites!
  7. Brummies have booked in Kye Thomson, Paul Starke, Paco Castagna, and Lee Complin to race the Bandits. R/R for Nielsen, but James Pearson and Sedgy will be in the colours! And probably at Oxford in the Pairs, too.....
  8. Connor Coles will replace Nathan Stoneman. A further guest would be required if Jonas' visa fails to front up.
  9. Actually, all former Berwick riders are welcomed at Shielfield Park, and have a lifetime pass to meetings.
  10. Plymouth bring in Kasper A to replace Alfie B. R/R to operate for BB -- everyone gets a ride!
  11. Hadnt thought about a backlog, but as the Commonwealth Games are on, it'd be reasonable to think the WDA are rushed of thrir feet this week.
  12. Plus Greg Blair, guesting at Belle Vue, l think?
  13. I'm not sure. No inside knowledge, but I believe each club can nominate any two of their top three available riders for Oxford. So perm any two from Bomber, Jye and Ricky? Will be a good night, tho.... Oxford's really good, and will apparently be sold out by that night.
  14. While a terrific and well-deserved honour for our U19 Champion, if the GP practice is on the Friday, this would mean he'll miss the Pairs, as he should take every opportunity to mix with the best riders in the world at Cardiff.
  15. Safe bet that in the Final the two riders had the best edges available ( including Leon's) on their bikes..
  16. Pardon my asking, sandking, but what 's your obsession with race times for every meeting? You running a database?
  17. Alain Baxter. Very much an innocent party, he used an inhaler bought over the counter in America which -- although branded as the same stuff -- had in it a load of stronger stuff than the same inhaler sold in the UK. He would have been the first-ever Brit to win an Olympic medal for ski-ing. A shame.
  18. Fine, but..... If the extra tournament had been staged in springtime, the meetings now taking place would be Championship matches -- with the same number of injured/suspended/unavailable riders missing. Birmingham (and Plymouth) have been blighted this season, with every effort to replace long-term absentees thwarted by total unavailability of new riders. The real reason for the drastic rider-famine is Brexit. Any speedway fan who voted for it must now be realising what a monster they helped create.
  19. Maybe a virus? Heard there was a bug about called Covid....
