Rider Changes in the championship
crescent girl replied to Cast1rn's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The rule has always (for years and years) been there: A guest must be in an official 1-7 in any (British) league. While it unfortunately prevents unnattached riders such as Proctor or Turner guesting, it also stops a crafty promoter parachuting Zmarzlik or Madsen in for a vital fixture, or more likely in the scenario suggested above where a rider could remain unattached but hawk himself around the leagues on a 'have bike, will travel' basis The rule might be harsh on Turner, etc, but it is necessary. -
Oxford vs Berwick - Champ - 5th July

Nope, wrong again. -
SCB make the rules, not BSPL.....

Pretty sensible call, weather's pretty iffy today up here in God's country.... Looking good for tomorrow night, tho!

Well, it wouldn't be the first time, would it?

It's managing Oxford -- efficiently!

Not dumped. He was helping out on a 28-day contract, which has ended. In this week's Speedway Star he explains, while getting on really well with Berwick staff, after two years with the Bullets he wanted a change -- and had a deal pre-season with another club, which sadly colllapsed. He confirmed he is looking to join another team. Ben's a nice guy, wish him well.

Kieron Douglas back in Bullets' line-up from next weekend?

Back to the big-time again, with FTS Bandits taking over from Bullets this Saturday. Oxford in town with their two (very) big hitters, and both sides seem to be playing chess with their line-ups. As ever, early-bird e-tickets on sale from www.berwickspeedway.com/tickets FTS BANDITS: 1 Rory Schlein, 2 Leon Flint (capt), 3 Jye Etheridge, 4 Jonas Knudsen, 5 Thomas Jorgensen, 6 Jacob Hook, 7 Connor Coles MONARCH CHEETAHS: 1 Sam Masters, 2 Lewi Kerr, 3 Cameron Heeps, 4 Jordan Jenkins, 5 Scott Nicholls (capt), 6 Henry Atkins, 7 Ryan Kinsley
-
Well, let's see, then.........
-
Where does this misinformation come from? Bandits are at full strength on Saturday?
-
Jonas' CMA will move to exactly 6.00

Poole Vs Plymouth 7th June league
crescent girl replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Not really too sure about that one, Paulco.... In 1995/96, the "best in the world" were riding regularly at Shawfield, yet attendances actually dropped off so alarmingly it forced the two (different) operating promotions to close. History shows the northern tracks are always happiest -- and most profitable (and can therefore offer continuity of operation) -- when operating at "Division 2" level. This didn't stop Jack Young winning the World title, or guys like Carl Stonehewer or Craig Cook going to the GPs.
