  1. Not if its after Oct 31, as season/contracts end then. Leicester will be granted a facility, given what's been allowed in the past when seasons have over-run. As a footnote, even the most rabid BSPL-haters must surely admit that this quite exceptionally-wet October is hardly the fault of the speedway authorities ......
  2. Pish. Rules is rules. Run next week, or whenever. Don't change from playoffs at this point in time.
  3. Its no warmer, or drier, in April than it is in October!
  4. Oxford was the most-successful club in Britain this year, bar none. You really think that an expensive team is the key to success?
  5. Kyle Bickley and Kieran Douglas will be guesting for Leicester Cubs at Armadale this Friday in what may really be the last-ever meeting there.
  6. At the start of 2016, Dan Bewley was very much outclassed in the Championship, but stuck at it (and Edinburgh stuck with him) as he developed through the year. Ace should be given the same chance.
  7. Will there be an experienced "speedway professional" on board, to work with BSPL and be a safe pair of hands to prevent the inexperieced owners being ripped apart by the sharks?
  8. The first two, yes, very tight -- but referee was consistent. As for the Pole wiping out Kurtz -- he rode right into him, ffs -- there was no doubt.
  9. Plenty of Berwick interest in Farewell To Armadale meeting on Saturday night, with Bomber, Leon and Theo in the field, and Ace Pijper as first reserve. 6.30pm start.....
  10. No, the last meeting of the season will be on Friday week (21st) for the outstanding Devils/Leicester NDL match
  11. Oh, they'd be offered assistance.... But they'd just never get it. Stay where you are, Tigers!
  12. Charles Wright was withdrawn last night after suffering concussion. This puts him on the sidelines for nine days minimum.
  13. Plymouth have Richie Worrall and James Wright as guests tonight, with r/r for BB. Tigers use Paul Starke at reserve, plys r/r for Ostergaard.
  14. He's doing fine, unbeatable in his NJL races last night. However, he's still a year or two away from being able to race at NDL level.
  15. Jamie Courtney's welcome words last night: "The Bandits will be in the Championship next season, the Bullets will be in the NDL. The Academy will continue to give opportunities to the next generation and Duns will continue to go from strength to strength"
  16. I think they would have, had they been able to find one! Ablitt's reluctance to travel was known the previous evening.
  17. It may be cancelled, as a mark of respect to our late Queen. Can hardly 'celebrate' her Jubilee post mortem, surely? Maybe the mistake was not keeping it as the Summer Cup!
  18. Why is it 'ridiculous'? Since lock-down forced the issue, cash has become nearly redundant in many transactions. Once upon a time, you could turn up at a cinema with empty jam-jars or milk bottles instead of cash. Times change, processes move on. I'm sure Oxford won't be the only club -- or business in other fields --requiring only electronic payments as the norm in future -- and that we'll quickly become used to the process.
  19. BSN streaming live from Shielfield this Saturday....
  20. Speedway back with a bang this Saturday -- 27 races for a tenner! See NDL page for details.......
  21. Speedway's back with a bang at Berwick this Saturday -- 27 heats for a tenner! There will be two NJL mini-matches after the NDL tie, and although season tickets are NOT valid for the meeting, across-the-board admittance is only £10. NDL teams: BULLETS: 1 Kyle Bickley, 2 Ace Pijper, 3 Ben Rathbone, 4 Luke Crang, 5 Greg Blair, 6 Kieran Douglas, 7 Mason Watson FEN TIGERS: 1 Jason Edwards, 2 James Shanes (r/r), 3 Josh Warren, 4 Alex Spooner, 5 Jack Kingston, 6 Ashton Boughen, 7 Luke Muff NJL teams: (First match) ACADEMY: 1 Luke Harrison, 2 Owen Booth, 3 Stene Pijper, 4 Morgan Leonard ARMADALE ANGELS: 1 Lewis Millar, 2 Dean Douglas 3 Rhys Harrow, 4 Liam Morris (Second match) ACADEMY: 1 Ace Pijper, 2 Callum Foy, 3 Stene Pijper, Morgan Leonard WEST LOTHIAN WILDCATS: 1 Gregor Millar, Owen Booth, Rocco Webb, Lewis Hague
  22. If BV had taken a facility, the rider would have landed a 28-day suspension, would have affected Poole, as well as the Colts (who might have got their point for the play-offs). To their credit they chose to go with the blank space instead.
