  1. Congratulations Barry, great presenter, wow 50yrs... I wanted to nickname Rosen - Anton Dec, but only kids were alowed to enter
  2. Only applies to a redeclaration: Ward (Poole 2011) & Andrew Tully (Newcastle 2013) were in their teams original declarations
  3. C'mon Ben, get that Bronze Helmet
  4. Personally I think the guy is great. Not one of the most gifted riders, but 100% trier on and off the track. After finishing each race, in the GP Challenge at Poole last year, he acknowledged his fans on the 2nd bend; and after the meeting, when everyone else was packing up, he was with them, chatting, posing for photos & hugging them - just love his enthusiasm Martin even dressed up in lederhosen for a clip during the Pairs meeting in Landshut. Good luck for the rest of the season Martin - a welcome addition to the SGP
  5. Don't worry, every teams supporters have said that after riding against the Monarchs, and I expect many more will follow. Monarchs are super-strong this season
  6. Fair point, I guess legends don't come along so often. At the moment we have Darcy and Emil as the stand-out entertainers. I guess all these guys are still young, and Rickardsson, Gollob and Hancock all took time to develop.
  7. Could choose from Kildermand, both Pawlicki bros, Jepsen Jensen & Laguta - do need at least one Swede tho
  8. Track should be OK to ride on... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4tYucGxToC4&feature=kp
  9. Not all bad news then, at least Stevie Worrall "enjoyed his cheese sandwich"
  10. Left after ht7, 4:20, (10mins+ /ht) to get to Coventry v Lakeside - was hoping to see a few more heats. Unfortunately a few too many crashes, hope Daniel Halsey's OK, so unlucky in his first 2 heats. Hope Simon Lambert gets to Swindon on time...
  11. Jack Kingston has come on a lot since last year - looks smooth, fast and stylish, not as impetuous as last year. Will find out just how good he is when he's up against Ben.
  12. Think we should get 3pts from this one - good luck to Luke Harris & Danny Ayres. Wil be interesting to see how Jack Kingston & Connor Coles perform on their return C'mon you King's
  13. Apparently Stevie Worrall is going to try to get to Swindon from Scunthorpe at the same time! Good luck to both of them...
  14. Simon is definitely at Kent, because the Birmingham fixture was re-arranged last Thursday (re-arranged fixtures don't get precedence) Maybe Simon is going to Swindon straight after the Kent meeting, as this starts at 7:30, going to be tight though. Don't forget tapes up at 3:00 for King's v Mildenhall
  15. Poor Len - I think after the poor forecast and poor crowd last week against Ipswich, and the British SF this Wednesday, he knew the crowd would be extremely poor if the forecast wasn't perfect. Think he made the right call personally
  16. I think Jason Garrity is missing the guidence of Michael Lee. Jason's average shot-up when Michael started helping him. Let's hope the two of them can team up again this season. Jason has got the talent and I don't want to see him waste it
  17. Shower just stopped, overcast - Kool n the Gang, Celebration playing...
  18. Met Office website shows light rain, but should be clear for start time. RYE House can confirm this afternoon's League Cup clash with Ipswich (2pm) is set to go ahead as planned. http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.785 Let's hope the forecast is correct
  19. I guess Kent were also too strong (21-52), King's Lynn (24-67 & 37-56) & Coventry (18-71)!
  20. I have to agree with Halifaxtiger. I am happy if my team wins, but I don't really want to pay to watch them against a team, who cannot compete. I like to see some competitive racing. I would still watch Rye House v Plymouth 2012, because Ben Barker was racing; ditto Glasgow 2013 because of Joe Screen. Last year at Kent we weren't such attractive opposition away from home, but Steve Boxall was definitely worth watching. Unfortunately I can't see the attraction of going to Kent v Scunthorpe. The addition of one or two more experienced riders will also help the younger ones immensely, especially with lines and setups. The EL draft system is a good example of this. As much as I applaud the Scunthorpe/Poole promotions in bringing on British youngsters, I think some compromise is needed. Halifaxtiger is not the exception
  21. Try this link Mimmo http://northernjuniorleague.com Pretty comprehensive website
  22. The photo was taken before the riders took to the track, and there were 4 of them riding for the final team place. Unfortunately can't remember the names of the other two! The other two lads weren't too bad, but Luke & Danny were definitely more polished
  23. Luke Harris to ride the next two fixtures & Danny Ayres to ride the two after that. Both looked quick & comfortable in P&P yesterday. Think they can both score some good points this season. Got a good feeling about this season, should definitely make the play-offs, and anything can happen after that.
