  1. Uncle Len said he had an offer to hold it at Rye House (Probably on the 4th) but hasn't made a decision yet
  2. Said Edinburgh will stage their leg the Friday before or Friday after, depending on Play-off fixtures
  3. Thanks for the updates Proud Potter. Looking forward to visiting Loomer Rd again on 20th, should be a cracking Final Would be grateful if you can keep us updated nearer the time, as the Stoke website isn't working. Thanks in advance
  4. Don't know how it can be said that the track for last years Buxton v Kent was dangerous. Steve Boxall was flying until an unfortunate coming together on the backstreight ruled him out the rest of the meeting. Connor Coles ditto, but experienced lots of mechanical problems when well placed. Jack Kingston had plenty of falls due to youthful exuberance (was motioning to him to calm down during his later races) and Ben won Ht.15. Track was a bit slick and dusty as it was a scorching day, but nothing out of the ordinary. Think somebody looked at updates and made an assumption Looking forward to revisiting this Sunday
  5. Not such a bad meeting, Rockets (Kennett and laterly Garrity) kept it respectable. Lindgren & Kerr's unfortunate punctures helped. Good solid scoring from all the Diamonds Will vouch for the chips n curry sauce - gorgeous. Nice new steps - very posh
  6. Oops sorry - forecast 60% heavy rain 15:00 to 20:00 tho
  7. tonights meeting v Kent has been cancelled due to the forecast of heavy rain for afternoon/evening. Meeting to be restaged at later date. http://www.lakesidehammers.co/content/ From twitter
  8. £12 not a bad price IMO - Looking forward to this - Ben to show just how good he is around Arena
  9. After watching Adam at Wolves last night, he looked much more confident than the last few weeks - Will score a hatful for the Witches this Thursday
  10. Hardly surprising really. PUK had a rest from the Euro Pairs earlier, because of a heavy workload. Think most supporters are in agreement riding one night a week for EL
  11. Interesting that Garrity is not taking part in Luke's testimonial this Sunday "Jason Garrity (British GP) and Mathieu Tresarrieu (World Longtrack Grand Prix) are unfortunately unavailable for the meeting, but the remaining Silver Ski Rockets are programmed for the event." http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.843.6 I'm going to be able to do Cardiff and Luke's testimonial! - Perhaps Garrity is upsetting his teammates with his attitude, and this could partly explain our poor results this year (Hope I'm reading too much into this)
  12. Yeah credit where it's due, Len would of called it off nice n early and saved me my petrol money Thought after the delay in opening, they new what they were doing! No refund, hope I can make the restaging. Guess I'm too gullible - will wait outside next time
  13. Waited & let us in late - Took my money, 15mins later called it off - that's not on
  14. Light rain now, been told the ref is looking at the track
  15. TRAVEL ADVICE Tuesday July 08, 2014 PETERBOROUGH are urging supporters to allow extra time for their journeys to the East of England Showground tonight (Tuesday). The 'TC Harrison' Panthers' clash against Rye House in the Premier League starts at 7.30pm - the same time as the annual Race for Life event at nearby Ferry Meadows. Heavy traffic is expected in and around Oundle Road. http://www.peterboroughpanthers.co/news.php?extend.2207 Ouch - That's the A605, the road that you turn-off to go into the stadium complex
  16. I'm sure Ben is trying his best for both clubs, after all he's got to No.1 by getting some great results. The reason why Ben gets good scores for Lakeside because the track is so smooth and his style perfectly suits the shape & size of the track: his T1/2 lines are perfect and he makes it seem so effortless
  17. Lovely sunny day, and best fish n chips in speedway - Paradise
  18. Didn't go to this meeting, but after watching the mauling from Somerset at home in the PL, it looked like amateurs against professionals. The Somerset riders all had immaculate leathers/kevlars and their machinery was spotless - you could see the amount of preparation they must of put in pre-meeting, and it paid off
  19. Good day out, but totally outclassed by Stoke. Danny Ayres was pick of the bunch with 2 heat wins, although the last one was gifted as Payne fell on the last lap whilst leading. Well done to Chris Widman, thought he deserved to challenge Ben for the Bronze Helmet after picking up a PM. Great cutback on T4 to win the rerun of Ht8, after getting knocked off by his teammate and being stuck under the fence in the first running. Track was well watered so no dust flying about today. Did drag a bit due to a delay for the setting sun, and then another delay just before the match race the lights went out!
  20. Wham, wake me up before you go now playing at Stoke. Don't know if it's deliberate, as no passing yet
  21. As expected - but what a wonderful track. Always a pleasure to visit Owlerton, wish more tracks were like this. Great riding by Tres once again, two Jason's did OK, apart from that...
  22. Benji to replace Luke http://www.kentkings.co/news.php?extend.182 Feel sorry for Luke, but guess the only option really. Hope Luke gets fixed-up soon
  23. Was a good meeting, best I've seen at Kent. Track is much better, with Marc Owen providing most of the entertainment with several overtaking manoeuvres around the ouside on T4. Well done to Jason Garrad who won is first race as a King. Judging by his rapid improvement in the MDL at Rye House, think he will be a good signing. Congratulations to Ben on becoming the new holder of the Bronze Helmet. Needed a big score from him tonight and he stepped up to the plate
