  1. Thanks Jenga, good programme, medics are unbelievable Speedway special, as they flew over Brough Park after the first incident Nice to hear that Chris enjoyed the applause, as he was transferred from the ambulance, "more than I get when I win a race" Where you on TV then Jenga?
  2. Just trawling through some old programmes & found out about an Aussie rider, Stephen Barr, who was deaf & dumb. Stephen rode second-halfs at Stoke in 1977, with compatriot Robert Dole. Not sure how he faired, but can't remember him. Initially I was quite surprised, but I guess this is no real handicap in Motorsport. Just wondered if anyone knew of any other riders with handicaps
  3. Just seen this on FB: What do you think about Warren Scott buying the 15year lease of Rye House. Will we get called "The Farmers" now. V Surprised, but suppose it's good to know he's a Motorsport guy
  4. Some great pics on Bryan Copland's twitter account - major renovation well underway. Great news for all Tigers fans
  5. Maybe, going to start the season in style with an East of England Cup challenge fixture against Rye House!
  6. Best team riding I saw last year: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc0pT5cd9y8 Fast forward 2:36.00 Mega T2 by Darcy - spent half race looking back & quarter race with one hand on his bike
  7. Wow, superb video - not sure if I'm watching the same sport here in the UK! Atmosphere amazing, better than most footy matches. If only...
  8. Atmosphere definitely not the same, but racing is still fantastic - Pity those who are missing out
  9. If he's half as good, or half as mad - will be quite a signing
  10. By declaring late, perhaps Andrew's rebelling against Len?
  11. Think they will have to. This meeting is going to be as big/bigger than Ben Fund at Leicester Lovely family, lovely lad - no coincidence. Keep fighting Ricky
  12. Couldn't have put it better Hunty - Cracking lad, hope he continues his improvement and has an excellent 2015 with the Heathens & Monarchs
  13. Looks like Andrew won then - future looking good for the Rockets Thanks goes to Hazel tho, she has put in a lot of hard work over the years
  14. Quite right uk martin Could also select riders for European Pairs, European Junior Team, SEC Individual & Junior European Individual - Plenty of experience to be had out there Think we need to select a few riders to compete in both the World & European events & assist them through the rounds I know it's annoying having guests, but some sacrifices are needed to improve British riders. In Cricket & Rugby Union, clubs play second fiddle to the National team British riders are living in a cushy little bubble, whilst there's a big exciting world out there
  15. If he hasn't got a foreign contract, bit if a risk to drop PL income on the off chance one may come about later
  16. Wonder why British riders struggle on the continent! Would've been perfect for Tai & Bomber + Cookie at reserve BSPA are bonkers - Great publicity for British speedway - Helps develop British riders, become a bigger name & increase domestic crowds
  17. ??? Can't understand how Adam hasn't got a PL club! He's going to get a 12.00 ave next year in the NL. Excellent signing for Brum Can see a lot of PL clubs wanting him mid- season
  18. I think the reigning Premier Challenge Trophy Champions have got a pretty good side for next year, although a lot depends on Jakobsen. Looking at his results on speedwayresults.com - started out superbly, but tailed off at the end of the season, definitely has the ability Eddie should be superb, like last season & the rest should increase their averages. I think once Bunyan left, the team were more positive, and the end of season performances improved We have two of the best reserves, and when Luke got his mojo back, was exceptional towards the end of season Not sure about the Dane, but the rest are great racers - so plenty of entertainment Hoping for a top 6, then anything can happen - Can't wait
  19. Havelock tried to sign him for next season, but got gazumped by Glasgow
  20. Redcar can't fit him in now, so Glasgow should get him on loan, unless there's another club willing to buy him. Reckon it might drag tho
  21. Can't blame Havelock for going back on an agreement with Berwick; after all Glasgow have taken 3 of his top riders (Lawson, Summers & Kozza) - Guy needs to put a team together...
  22. If the Bandits are struggling with finance, why not increase admission to £40/head
  23. Starman2006, I reckon you should represent Darcy at the FIM hearing, just in case some of them are anti-Poole
  24. With more teams, points limit should be lower next year, teams more equal & Buxton would be more competitive; especially as Tony Atkin should be back
