  1. What a stupid thread - sad thing is, it is needed - just hope all the riders know where they are going. Seems the PL has been short changed this year. Surely missing No.1 riders, must hurt PL attendances Lawson - Lakeside (asset)
  2. Feel for you Eddie, hope you can still get to watch some speedway, all the best for the future
  3. Should be good entertainment at Redcar. If Rafal Konopka was recommended by Adam Skornicki - then he is probably a nutter & you'll love him
  4. Welcome back Always a RACER - Somerset = great promotion + great track. You couldn't have chosen better, enjoy...
  5. Katajisto is pretty special. Counted 5 overtakes by him tonight, weighs up the opponents and then cleanly by (no rash decisions, plenty of time). Enjoyed his tussle with Newman ht12 - After being replaced in ht10 by Katajisto, there was no way he was going to let him pass
  6. Uncle Len said Garrity was in hospital last night, but no further news - Get well soon Jason. This is going to be close - 2pts either way...
  7. Good to see Rye House & Kent spreading the message. http://www.ryehouserockets.co/news.php?extend.771 http://www.kentkings.co/news.php?extend.129
  8. Personally I didn't see the guy race, but here's one for you TWK (Taken from Weymouth programme 11/08/77, concerning the fixture Edinburgh v Weymouth 05/08/77) - "The hard riding Jack Millen had just been excluded for unfair riding in his qualifying heat, a decision which he didn't agree with at all. After some remonstrating on track, the Monarchs rider decided it was time his exclusion light was extinguished and with the aid of a track rake, the light was extinguished - in fact the whole light fitting was smashed to pieces." - sounds like a great nights entertainment to me...
  9. Thought that was a pretty good meeting. Poor Jack Burnicle, he's good at BSB & WSB, makes the odd mistake now & again; but doesn't have a speedway background. My favourite quote of his was just before the racing started and the teams were listed, "Here are the team points, which are absolutely nothing" Definitely got the hang of it by the last heat though: "How fast could Darcy Ward go around this track if he wasn't spending all his time looking backwards, waving at his teammate. What an extraordinary performance!" - My sentiments exactly; without Darcy this meeting would've been pretty average
  10. Up and away - Good to see another site which is not the standard design. Hope they add a history section though
  11. The suspense makes it all the more exciting Danny Ayres & Danno Verge according to Speedway Star
  12. Not for a while yet... This one works though http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/home.asp Closest I could find
  13. Sorry, my misunderstanding he's been "found out" not "outed"
  14. He's pretending to be at Brandon, but the mods can see he is posting this message from his usual (presumably home) address - Similar to the police tracking mobile phones, they can see where the signal originates
  15. Hougaard Racing Fans Yesterday, 05:47 PM Shocking scenes, Just arrived at Brandon and the track is fine. Zagar is leading the protest, He sickens me. Mick Horton is not to blame... The track is fine! Mod Note: And yet you still post from your home IP? Remarkable. Kindly stop trolling, the situation is bad enough on its own merit Taken from ERC thread...
  16. http://t.co/j4qAoCi2yk Ritchie Hawkins, United Kindom! Ouch
  17. He's a really nice lad, don't forget he's a good racer - seen plenty of wins from the back in ht2. Definitely entertaining, but also frustrating
  18. Great action on track today the old boy hasn't lost his touch
  19. Watched Kasper at Rye last year - great racer, but can't gate for toffee (at best he reaches the first bend in 3rd) if you want him to get points make sure the track's not slick
  20. Jon Cook was recently talking about a scheme to help develop juniors in Scotland. Not sure of the finer details, but the idea is that once they acquire a first team place, the said team will then make repayments - personally I think this is fantastic, forward thinking as Scotland desparately need more riders
