Edinburgh Vs Glasgow, Friday, 12th June 2015
Joseq7 replied to cyclone's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I don't know the "real" rule but surely the spirit of the rule is that all four guys are completely stationary when the button is pressed. I remember always being facinated by Derek Sneddon's back wheel starting to rotate whilst he was on the green light - I always thought that is probably a good edge and would be legal. -
Glasgow V Plymouth Sunday 10th May, 3pm

PR disaster. Last night, or this morning, the promotion might conceivably have thought that this meeting might have started but it would never have finished. Meteorology may not be an exact science, especially in Scotland, but gings crivens help ma boab this was wanton blind faith. -
Must be an oversight - here's Sky's schedule: http://www1.skysports.com/watch/speedway-on-sky Mind you we're not Elite League.........not yet anyways

Priority Over Double Up Riders 2015

I'm not able to give a definitive answer to this but I do recall at Glasgow when Alun Biggart took over the that previous, at that time, promotor(s) Stewart Dickson ( and Alan Dick?) was said to have technically "owned" the contract of Josh Grajczonek, Nick Morris and Mason Campton. The inference being that when they were sold that Glasgow Tigers Speedway (plc) were not getting the transfer money. -

I fear for Roynon, I really do, the guy seems jinxed. Should he walk away while he still can? -
"Attack posts, not posters" to quote you, but you've resorted to calling me "pathetic". You're a contrary fellow aren't you?
-
Eh.... Patently the answer would appear to be yes he does, whoever, wherever, whatever, however, you're just going to have to accept it. Your continued inability to accept facts is unhealthy dogmatism.

Nobody,in any walk of life, under whatever circumstances should wriggle off on a technicality. The consequences of this very immature individuals actions could have been tragic.

What The Visa Issues Could Mean For Teams.

I agree with your general point but as a matter of accuracy you missed out Nick Morris on the decent signing list. I know he's technically not Australian in terms of his license but he's Australian really. Our garbage signings certainly wasn't and isn't limited to antipodeans. We've signed plenty of duff Europeans too. -

Thanks for your insight Grachan and Lioness. Pretty complicated stuff. From the position of a casual observer the situation/history of Matt and Rusty just seemed to be very similar. -

It's just to clarify the rules on this forum. I'm certainly not pitting Rusty against Matty. I'm just interested in the specifics of why Rusty qualifies but Matt doesn't. If you know the specifics please share..... Again if you have already. -

So to be clear, amongst all this fog... Sub7 Rusty qualifies through residency but sub7 Matty does not. Is this correct? If this is correct what specifically has Rusty done that Matt hasn't? Five years permanent UK residency? Is this it? Not to be too indelicate but where did Matt's wife have two kids if they're not resident in the UK for X years? -

I'm sorry if this has been answered already...... Which non eu riders are okay to ride despite not finishing fourth or better in their state champs or being 7+ ? In short who's qualifying via residency? Also, does the likes of Mathew Wethers have any future career in speedway? He wasn't 7+ last year so clearly won't be 7+ this year. How does he ever get back in? Of course it's easy to argue perhaps he never should but this isn't a one season chancer. I've read he's married a Brit and has a family with her. -
Although that's true I think for health and safety requirement those working at the site wouldn't want too many punters on site. If you do go on site then please make yourself known.

Does Aaron Summers not need a visa then? If not - why not?

Yes. Too much. Just because we now appear to have generous benefactors we should still try to balance the books. It's good business. 19k will never be recouped.

No mention of the 7 point plus exemption. Alex Davies is 7+. -

This is it here...... If this 'above 7 is okay' is correct then.... Kozza Smith on 7.15 is okay but Justin Sedgeman on 6.99 is not okay. This is clearly quite nonsensical. What about the assessed 7.00? Jack Holder, for example. Is 7.01 okay but 7.00 is not okay? Obviously a criteria means a line has to be drawn somewhere. -
Aye...... the scunner Wolbert 💩

All quiet on the 7th man front.......

I very much hope that the new owners make a great success of their investment. However my immediate reaction to a PAID 2000 average attendance is its cloud cuckoo land........ I so so so so hope I'm wrong but that's a figure about four times our current attendance.
