  1. It’s always been here in the south west of France. There are certain races from time to time elsewhere but it doesn’t catch on. remember, we have 6x the landmass of the UK. here
  2. I used to race sidecars in Europe under the same sponsorship umbrella as Dinitri’s father Phillipe. Dimi and Adam were born in the same hospital a few months apart and have been friends most of their lives. They, along with David Bellego have all known each other a long time and hang out and train together in the closed season. This part of France has been the hotbed of French grass track for over 70 years, there is a fledgling speedway league which has now been running for a few years and is going from strength to strength.
  3. Yeah that broken back last year when he was taken out from behind in Croatia. Totally his fault
  4. Yup. You haven’t read what’s happening. And seeing the above post you really are as thick as shît Riding at a pre arranged meeting before he’d even signed a contract means it does take priority. If you’re not clever enough to understand the situation then no amount of explaining will get through your thick skull i’m glad the season is nearly over as I won’t have to interact with twunts like you . And people wonder why British speedway is laughed about when people like you are a prime example of « fans » Yes I’ve met loads of brilliant people following speedway unfortunately I’ve also met people like you. to the fans who’ve apologized after thé true facts were known, Thanks. To you pinny, I hope you seek the professional help you need. It must be hard being that thick. I’m out of here folks, it’s great to interact from time to time with real fans but people like Pinny are the reason that most riders avoid this place like the plague.
  5. Thé French meeting started at 10:30am as they club was running 2 meetings in a day. No flights available that would have got him there in time.
  6. You really are as thick as a brick and clearly haven’t read the last few pages have you ?
  7. Why should he ? I don’t think he even knows what’s been said. You seem very angry about it all.
  8. He didn’t. It was known that he was riding in France. you need to direct your anger elsewhere
  9. After ready pages and pages of vitriol the only thing I’ll say is that Adam presented his racing schedule (as all riders do) before he signed. Before he turned a wheel for Scunthorpe it was always known he had a meeting yesterday. Ok boys and girls you can get back to your bïtching now, but maybe try to think a little before you all slag off on a rider
  10. Hé doesn’t have «old machinery» the bikes he uses in the uk are the same in both leagues. After the British final I asked him if he’d used a «special« engine. His reply was if he’d had a special one he’d use it week in week out.
  11. Thé fact that the powers that be have consistently failed to find a top named league sponsor for the last two decades tells you all you need to know
  12. He was offered that engine as "it’s very well suited" to the Kent track. unfortunately that didn’t turn out to be the case and it lost power as the meeting went on
  13. I have in the past, although he’s recently got his French passport too so I suppose it’s correct to a certain extent
  14. Unfortunately Adam was on borrowed engine last night which was thought to be just right for the Kent track ( which he hasn’t raced at for years). Even with changes in jetting, ignition and gearing it was just getting slower and slower as the night went on. To see the team in the pits was an eye opener, everyone diving in to help everyone else when problems arose. Believe me, he was pi$$ed off with not winning the meeting, he rode his nuts off.
  15. Maybe instead of trying to standardise the engines just handicap the riders like in horse racing? Bike and rider weighed before the meeting and ballast added to the bike so that they’re all on a level playing field. Simple and effective, no flyweight will spend thousands on tuning if he has to have 10kg or more to his bike
  16. I’m sorry I don’t know who your son is, does he have a mentor … an experienced rider who can point him in the right direction ? These things do eventually come with time and he’ll be able to work things out for himself, but as we’ve seen with UK speedway, promoters don’t give time. It’s ruthless
  17. Ok, I’m probably biased as my son is 25, but what is considered young ? I think the UK should accept they’re not going to produce an U21 world champ for a while and encourage our young riders to start hitting their peak a bit later. It’s far too much pressure on a 17/18/19 year old. The team GB set up is working, let’s get the basics right before putting too much pressure on young shoulders. Before someone comes back and points out that the Poles have a conveyer belt of young talent …. Yes, but they also have the facilities and budget that we can only dream of.
  18. I dip in on this forum from time to time… there are some interesting and knowledgeable people on here, but they’re in the minority. It’s easy to see why most riders avoid this place like the plague and why despite two decades of TV coverage the sport still can’t find a league sponsor.
  19. I’m hoping he does well, but remember it was this meeting a year ago when he was taken out from behind which resulted in 3 fractured vertebrae and a couple of months in a back support.
  20. Loads of chances …. Rode in two meetings sorry that was a reply to an earlier post
