  1. 10th season in British speedway and Adam is still marked as French in TV. Graphics .....sigh
  2. And that’s why speedway won’t grow in the UK. When it’s demographic is stuck 50 years in the past, you can’t expect modern day businesses to invest in it. how many years now have the BSPA been unable to attract a main league sponsor?
  3. Jeez. There’s so many issues there I don’t know where to start.
  4. It’s an entirely sensible and good thing to do. therefore speedway won’t be adopting it.
  5. From 1500kms away I’d pay for streaming. It’s a good job I didn’t fly over for the first few meetings of the season as they were cancelled because of rain.
  6. Perish the thought that the rubbish show that is British speedway couldn’t use some of the TV money to invest in a set of track covers. They’ve leaned nothing from 20+ Years of being on TV
  7. Not a question of being symptom free... he had Covid in January, it was just a positive test earlier in the week that was followed up by two negative ones. He was kicked off his flight last night and fined as he’s now on a quarantine list. He spent right up until another flight left this morning trying to get the list revised. even driving to the UK would have been a €5,000 fine.
  8. Nineteen quid .... that’s taking the wee a bit.
  9. It also can affect uk riders racing abroad now that Britain is out of the EU. In addition to his British passport, Adam now has a French one so no problems with traveling / visas Europe.
  10. I think the lesson here is to just subscribe digitally? ...... you save money and no hassle
  11. Maybe he’s like Adam and has 2 passports (double nationality)?
  12. Jeez, I wonder if they’ll wish Jimmy Savile all the best ... one of our greatest DJ’s .... You do sometimes wonder who’s in charge of their social media account and thought this was a good idea ?
  13. The pair of them do more for the club than you’ll ever realise
  14. In the last decade we’ve lost a few tracks here (St Colomb de Lauzan, Artigues de lussac, St Denis de pile) the grasstrack scene is still big here but clubs are moving more towards speedway. there’s also a speedway track / club at Macon near Lyon
  15. All fans attend every meetings. The crowds aren’t massive but hopefully being starved of racing will encourage them to venture out.
  16. It is. Believe it or not , not everything is about the money.
  17. It’s gonna be a loooong trip for me to watch a meeting or two ( travel restrictions permitting)
  18. When they were introduced I was riding grasstrack and longtrack throughout Europe ( albeit on a sidecar) but I would mix with riders every weekend throughout the season. I can only go on what they told me.
  19. because a majority of riders found them easier to ride than uprights
  20. So no Asians go to football matches then ?
  21. If that’s the case you have to ask what British speedway has done in the last 40+ years to target them as a potential audience ?
