  1. I believe there will be a regional league/division structure before the sport goes to one league. How about 3 Regional Divisions of 7 teams each (I'm assuming no more closures and 3 or 4NL clubs stepping up!) Division A - North: Berwick; Edinburgh; Glasgow; Newcastle; Redcar; Sheffield;Belle Vue. Division B - Midlands: Cradley; Wolves; Kings Lynn; Peterborough;Scunthorpe; Leicester; Birmingham. Division C - South: Ipswich; Eastbourne; Poole; Somerset; Swindon; Plymouth; Kent (or IOW or Rye House). Each division will ONLY race the teams in the other 2 divisions ( ie A v B&C home and away once giving each team 14 meetings.) The match points gained from all fixtures will determine the top 2 teams in each of the 3 divisions. Those 6 teams will be in the play-off semi finals. Based on their division points 1st v 6th; 2nd v 5th; 3rd v 4th; home and away. The play -off final will feature the 3 winning teams from the semis in a mini league KO - the winner being the League Champions. Maximum number of meetings for the top six = 14 + 2 semis + 4 Final = 20 Options for the other 5 teams in each division NOT reaching the semis - A Divisional regional knock out comp, giving each division team 8 (4H&4A) local derbies OR a KO Cup involving all remaining 15 teams. Team composition - probably 6 man teams?! Its all open for discussion. Thoughts?
  2. Both NBJ (Berwick) and Wells (Edinburgh) have 3 more meetings before Thursday's Poole v Ipswich meeting including guesting against each other in the Panthers v Aces TV meeting. So maybe we'll be able to better judge both their consistency and return to fitness? Somerset are also due to race Wednesday so will Nico also be back?
  3. If you actually read my post you will see there are question marks!! So I'm asking questions rather than making a statement!! BTW Happy Birthday TJ.
  4. Honest question - are Ice Hockey meetings mainly at weekends so more likely to get travelling fans? Also where geographically are the teams?
  5. So TJ to go then?! Anyone know where Mikkel Bech is ending up?
  6. Yeah but he';s not getting any younger...........and the constant GP summarising must really be taking it out of him!!
  7. I doubt we'll see Gavan until he's gone back and altered all his posts before asking Poole fans to prove what he said!!!
  8. I think the only bleating and whinging going on was in the Ipswich pits after heat 15 last night!!
  9. I think that was a good performance from the Wolves - aside from the strength and/or performance of the Panthers. Wolves looking very solid now as riders begin to hit form.
  10. Clearly the complacency and over confidence from the team manager filtered down to the team!!
  11. So Ippo fans whats the word about Bomber for next Thursday? Will he be riding at Wimborne Road or on the way to Russia?
  12. Well what a great Pirate performance - patched up or not .
  13. Just watching the Freesports Elitseiren this evening. Apparently there are no Swedish meetings next thursday due to the SoN?! Does that mean Chris Harris might be missing from the Ippo team next week?
  14. Thats one thing about a BSPA 5-year plan - it will always change by the second year - based on whats happened and what they never considered in the first place!!
  15. Yes a strange situation this one. I queried the date when it was first announced as the Pirates are away at Swindon that night. Its still on the Pirates website fixture list and being sponsored by one of the major sponsors of both Poole and the Youth series - Wessex Marine.
  16. From the team managers' comments earlier Ipswich are looking to exploit every advantage over the patched up Pirates, rather than take a business decision based on a small crowd?!
  17. So Bomber has crated up his machinery for Russia so what will he be riding this evening? A bag of spanners hopefully!!
  18. Yes just the once on this occasion - just getting one back for the good guys in the face of so many others directed our way!! Rest assured I have given myself a firm slap on the wrist! In the meantime COYR - anything to get one over the Eastern Mafia!!
  19. Poole cannot re-sign Jakobsen ( or Woryna for that matter even if they had enough points) from last season as there is a rule that forbids it unless they are in the 1-7 at the start of this season! - without special dispensation. In any case, Freddie has too much on his present 2019 racing calendar to consider UK - he has said so himself.
  20. Kings Lynn to lodge a protest about Vissing who's Premiership average of 5.81 is too high!!!
  21. How does Vissing's average fit? He should be on 5.81 from Somerset last season? Even with the low team average!!
  22. Josh was probably being quite wary and still suffering a bit - both body and machine - from the fencing he got from Cook the previous week!!!?
