  1. Forecast tomorrow is ok and it should go ahead with no issues. Rain in the morning clearing to leave a dry day lunchtime onwards.
  2. Zaine Kennedy? Had about 2 decent rides in 20 around Poole. Fact out front but nowhere if he misses it. Good luck to him though.
  3. Poole reserve guest is fine, though a real shame Stefan Neilsen got so badly injured it ruled him out for the season. Never properly replace his scoring potential with guests.
  4. Forecast for Poole on Fridays isn’t bad. Risk of a few afternoon showers and a dry evening. Long way off yet though.
  5. Now entering the final week of the season, we have the second leg of the KO Cup final on Wednesday. Pirates have a 5 point lead from the first leg and are favourites to lift the cup. At the moment a dry day is forecast. As Poole have been rock solid at home so far this season, it’s going to take a monumental effort from the Monarchs to turn this one around. Highly unlikely but not impossible. Will they do it? I don’t think so. 50-40. Thoughts?
  6. Premier inn is 5 mins in the car. https://maps.apple.com/place?q=Premier Inn Poole Centre - Holes Bay&ll=50.725266%2C-1.991289&auid=11602194221114231704&lsp=9902&address=Holes Bay Road%2C Poole%2C BH15 2BD%2C England
  7. It’s a competition. Nothing patronising. Best two teams are in the final. Let the best team win.
  8. Current forecast shows risk of a few light shows on Tuesday pm in Glasgow area. Currently Not enough to stop a meeting.
  9. Danyon Hume has had a very good season and I would welcome him back next year. Think there still a fair bit of improvement left in him and he has a good rapport with the Poole fans. He ran a silly last in his second ride when leading Thompson for 3 3/4 laps, and the tapes in his first was frustrating. Came good in the end though. As for Ben Basso, a performance like today has been on the cards for some time. Certainly looks like a rider with a big future ahead of him.
  10. The whole meeting came across as the pirates wanting it more. Not once during the meeting did I feel Pirates would allow any type of lead. The silly 5-0 even seemed to fire us up more.
  11. Nothing is worse than brexit. Nation ruining far right nonsense which has wrecked business and everything in between.
  12. We haven’t been beaten big all season. Think our biggest defeat was at Glasgow without Schlein and on a very, very wet Scunthorpe with the team under orders to stay safe. We are in good form, have a good reserve and want the title. We won’t crumble like Edinburgh did the other day.
  13. Going to be really tough for Poole on a wet Tuesday night in Glasgow. Rory Schlein got injured on the first bend of heat one, and Ben Basso has never seen the place. We need to keep it to ten or less and the team are capable. Let’s hope the rain stays away for both meetings and it’s played out fairly.
  14. Must admit I found Rab C Nesbit funny. And I hope they gain independence from the rubbish show which is brexit and this god awful useless government.
  15. Entertaining meeting. Ben Cook struggled to get to grips and Bailey didn’t do much but we were never going to give Monarchs a decent lead. After a couple of feel your way rides, Ben Basso was brilliant. Backed up our heat leaders with Danyon and it was job done.
  16. Twice Poole made the start in heat ten. Jinx race. Masters no where in first two runnings. Wins it.
