  1. Lol! Made no difference as a junior gates and goes. At least Zach came through on Bowtell.
  2. Tracking showing it’s worth with another from the tapes one line gate and go. Adkins gated and that was that. Gate or you are stuffed.
  3. Good start but Eddie laid it into fence on last bend when tailed off. Heat 2 should be adv. Plymouth.
  4. Stream working well though a tad dark. But no buffering. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s1x058x888ur9ar/Photo 05-04-2022%2C 18 57 27.jpg?dl=0
  5. Thought it was clash of the champs. Poole had a stronger team from the start so Basso would have evened it up. Don’t know whether he was asked. But pretty sure his reception would have been less than happy clappy.
  6. Good question. I have it on my iPad and set up on my smart tv. I will try tv first and if it fails, hop onto iPad. Be suprised if they have the facility like Youtube to steam via Bluetooth to tv.
  7. Booing seems to always pump up a rider, but it’s irresistible for the fans. A Pirates win tonight will make tomorrow a foregone conclusion which isn’t great for either club. A ten point deficit would make tomorrow more tasty. But unlikely. Still, let’s hope for some good racing. Hope the stream works well and no glitches. And there are plenty of fans in the, cough, Coliseum.
  8. Wasn’t far off the pace last week at Poole. Needs track time and advice from the more experienced team members. Hope he is given enough time to develop his skills.
  9. Like to see Steve Worrall show some form tonight. Started the season rusty.
  10. Hope it’s not just a race to the first bend. Plymouth very small and narrow.
  11. Fair enough but it’s not as though he did a Basso. Can’t help wondering why Basso failed to show at Poole last week. He would have found out what the Pirate fans would have thought of him. It’s Like leaving Liverpool to go to West Ham. Still, onto tonight. Lucky I checked and it’s a 7pm start. Stream ordered. Hopefully will work on my smart tv. Downloaded TV Bro app and logged in. Should be OK. Glad so many clubs are streaming this season. Should have happened at least 5 years ago and lots of lost revenue, but at least they are doing it now. https://www.gladiatorslive.com
  12. So looking forward to returning to Cowley for this one. Poole fans used to gather together on the 3/4th bend.

  14. Tickets likely to sell out so have got a couple. For those going to Crowley, best to get your tickets asap. https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on/oxford/oxford-stadium/20-04-22-oxford-cheetahs-vs-poole-pirates-7-30pm/e-byykgg
  15. Getting a losing point for getting within 6 at away tracks.
  16. Was going to come down for this but have changed my mind and will order a stream. Will venture down for the league meeting. The stream for £11.99 is a bargain and when you consider the price of diesel at the moment plus entry and program, a trip to Plymouth would see a spend of approx £80 plus half a day. No brainer.
  17. Can’t see past us Pirates making it another title to be honest. Of course injuries can change that but we have very strong heatleaders, Ben and Zack Cook backing them up and Drew Kemp at reserve. Very strong at home and will never get thrashed, meaning bonus points galore. Young Ablitt isn’t expected to score big, just pick up a few points at home, and will get three rides away. Leicester and Glasgow the main rivals. Just think we will have too much for them again.
  18. Next Tuesday sees the first meaningful meeting at The Plymouth Coliseum this season and the first leg of the KO Cup. Looking forward to coming down for this one. Have Plymouth got a number one lined up yet? Don’t really want them to start the season with a 3 point rider at one. Poole should be at full strength and I think we could fancy our chances for this one. Thoughts?
  19. Very lucky with the weather. Rain arrived just after heat 15 and any delays would have seen the meeting ended before then. Some very decent racing for Bjarne. Zack Cook possibly the pick of the riders on display being unbeaten until heat 15 when he was shut out. Thanks to Bjarne for serving up some great racing over a long and successful career.
