Superb riding for a youngster to be honest. His battle with Lasse Bjerre and Jensen at 28.45 was excellent and his ride at 32.10 was impressive. Whether he will do well in much tougher company we will have to see but 5 points a meeting is his target. And Poland have noticed him. However he wants to come to the U.K. as it’s a guarenteed berth.

Poole vs Edinburgh 4/8/21
Steve Shovlar replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Be surprised if we lose this one. Edinburgh are definately one of the top teams this year but I think the Pirates will be too strong for them at home, unless complacency sets in and the way the team are riding I doubt that will happen. Should be a great contest and another good crowd on Wednesday. Of course it might well turn out to be a very different story on Friday when we are heading all the way up there. -
Pirates have just announced the replacement for Keleher at 2 and he will be riding all three meetings this weekend. Welcome to Poole Ben Basso. 20 year old Danish rider. Must admit I know nothing about him but he comes highly recommended by Nicolai Klindt and Freddy Jackobsen. A bit of a baptism of fire for the lad when he sees Edinburgh but I won’t expect too much from him this weekend.

Poole Pirates 2021
Steve Shovlar replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
There’s a name I………..have never heard of! But welcome to the club Ben! -
Pirates visit the old days of the club next weekend on a northern tour, taking in Edinburgh next Friday, Berwick on Saturday and finishing with Newcastle on Sunday. Rob and I are coming up for this, and will no doubt be joined by a few others. It’s a long way to come and the weather forecast, at the moment, is looking unsettled with light rain over the three days. Hopefully we won’t loose a meeting as it’s a long way for a one off and not something I would do. If you see us in our Poole jackets, come and say hello we are quite tame and friendly. I myself have never been to any of these tracks so three in three days to be ticked off. Fingers crossed for the return of Ben Cook who has been missed since his crash at Redcar a couple of weeks ago. If he is still out no doubt we will have a horses for courses guest at reserve. As for our replacement at 2, Danny Ford said on Wednesday that they were close to announcing it but nothing until it is signed and confirmed and the rider is in the country. So a guest replacement is likely. As for our chances, Edinburgh are likely to be our stiffest test. Second in the league and good home form. But I fancy our chances at Berwick and Newcastle. Two wins out of three would give us an almost guaranteed playoff berth, especially as we have so many home fixtures coming up throughout August.

I am not fighting with Gavan. Not worth it. Just showing there is nothing between the leagues and it’s time for an a amalgamation for the sport to move forward. If there was a north/south divide, then perhaps a rider could be named in both sections, though it would cause an issue should both clubs qualify for the playoffs.

You are very strange. You won’t see things for what they are. Poole are built to a lower points limit. crump v Schlein. Schlein. Rowe v Poole newcomer. Poole newcomer. King v King. Draw Allen v Neilsen. Allen Cook v Worrall. Cook Kemp v B Cook. B Cook Starke v Hume. Starke.

Yes they would. And Kings Lynn quite easily.
