Agree with others. Get a few riders who are not in the actual meeting to ride lots of laps to make some racing lines. Gate 4 a dead duck as Madsen and Zmarzlik have just show . 50 laps between 5-6 riders would turn the track into something all riders could race on. These first 4 heats have been great for riders who drew the inside but unfair to those out wide. No fan of Either Zmarzlik or Madsen but come on, not fair.

Rotten luck for Plymouth. Would have probably won if Worrall hadn’t knocked off Bjarne in heat 13 forcing him to withdraw.

Because Poole pay their riders on time. Fuel expenses are put against his tax bill, and sitting in a can for hours on end are part of the job. Most of the Poole team travel to Dorset for home meetings. Rory Schlein from Coventry, Basso from Denmark overstaying at Middlos, Worrall from Cleethorpes, King from near Peterborough, Neilsen from Beccles, Hume from Aylesbury, Ben Cook at Middlos.

Terrible news. Had a few minor spats with Phil over the last year or so re: brexit but didn’t even know he was unwell. Condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P.

With Pirates now up to second in the league after our win at Newcastle yesterday, we move on to Wednesday and the visit of Redcar to Wimborne Road. Weather looks settled and warm and it might be the chance to see Poole go top of the league, depending on the Kent v Glasgow meeting tomorrow. Rumour has it we will see the return of big hitting reserve Ben Cook after his leg injury. Poole. Schlien Guest Worrall Neilsen King Cook tbc Hume. Redcar ? Should be 3 points but no complacency.

Not quite. The track was very wet for the Poole meeting and more or less perfect for the Plymouth meeting. Some riders preferred the wet conditions while other riders, the home team, excelled when the track was more consistent. As for the haves and have nots, yes Poole is always built to the “haves”. It means wins and a strong following. Crowds at Wimborne Road have been very good for the last two home fixtures and with ~Redcar visiting on wednesday it should be another big crowd. Winning means bigger crowd. Very pleased Newcastle bounced back from a mauling to win the second one.
